At least the fair catch went away.  That was stupid.  Honestly, it's a step towards the old KO, just the amount of open field to build up a full head of steam is taken away, thus less injuries.  I think this format will entice more returns.  That part I like.  Last year's KO's were so boring.

I'll admit a part of me misses the old "wedge busters" on teams kick off units. Despite it being ridiculously dangerous it was entertaining to watch.

Can you imagine how long it would take the fans to boo Bryce off the field if Cam was sitting on the bench? Lol

I still believe Bryce will be a good QB but most panther fans are just so desperate for consistent good QB play that we don't care where it comes from at this point.

We won't have interest in him. His X-Rays got leaked:

Those who aren't familiar with the medical field may need it pointed out, but there is no dawg in there.

Guy tried to sneak in an X-Ray of Brian Burns and thought we wouldn't notice.

  4. As a UDFA give me Sam Hartman to be our more attractive version of Gardner Minshew. Guy was super productive in collage and the boost in ticket sales from lady panther fans would be good for our non-existent home field advantage.

  5. I really don't get this move by the Vikings. Why trade away assets to move up when you are still not gonna be able to get any of the top 3 guys in Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels because it's pretty much a lock that all of them will go in the first 3 picks with MHJ going at 4. I mean are they really gonna package 11 and 23 and probably more to get to 5 to jump the Giants for jj mccarthy?

I'm very aware of our 2nd round draft pick history at WR.  However, it's #33, a new GM and a loaded draft class at WR.  I'll take that over an injury prone dude and the offensive version of the guy we just traded to the Giants.  Again, we ain't winning much next year.  No need in screwing up our future cap for 1-2 more wins in 2024 by signing an overpriced WR.  Signing Higgins isn't worth it.  There will be a solid WR at #33, we just have to pick the right one.

I get that point but this year we need to make sure we surround Bryce with as much offense talent as we can so we can see if he can be the guy moving forward. I just don't wanna end up in a spot where the WR we take at 33 has the same non-existent impact as Mingo did last year.

Don't like it. Pass.  Take a WR at #33 which is essentially a late 1st rounder.

Do you by any chance know our draft history of taking WR's in the 2nd round. Spoiler Alert it's not very good. I'd be ok giving up pick 39 if we were able to get Higgins to sign a fair long term deal but if he's asking for top tier WR 1 money then yea I'm out and would rather roll the dice in the draft.

  8. Ian Thomas is the new Brenton Bersin in that he somehow manages to stay on the team year after year of being terrible.

If Dan doesn't cut him to save $6 million in cap, then I'll fully believe that Ian has dirt on either Dave or Nicole.

Just let it sink in that Ian had 56 TOTAL YARDS RECEIVING YARDS LAST YEAR.

  9. With all the cleaning up of Fitterer's bad moves it seems that Dan really was the only guy who spoke reason in the front office and that maybe he and Fitterer disagreed on a lot of things that were just never reported or leaked.

  10. I would like the pick but regardless of if we pick him or not, we definitely need a WR who can go get the 50/50 ball.

My pro comp for Coleman is Tee Higgins.

I'm a little concerned about the 40 time but I'm sure he'll have the typical pro day improvement that everyone has when they run a bad 40 at the combine.

  11. We all know that Bryce doesn't have the strongest NFL arm but to blame the lack of a downfield passing game solely on him is laughable. We had the worst WR's in the NFL at creating separation and a scheme that did little on getting guys open. Also, the O line couldn't block a strong gust of wind for more than 2 seconds so it's no surprise that defenses played within 20 years of the LOS because they knew that.

I'm defiantly a fan of the Non-exclusive franchise tag. If Burns thinks he's worth $30 million a season, then allow him to test the market to see if another team will offer it. If he does, then we can match the offer sheet or let him go but get 2 1st from the team that signs him.

Burns is a good player, and I would love to have him back on a fair deal but his lack of a take over a game skill set makes him not worth $30 million a year. During the 1st half against ATL in week 1 Burns flashed the ability to take over a game like other $30 million a year pass rushers do but that was the only time he's ever shown the ability to do that.
