  1. Horn is going to be a top 5 CB in the league he was well worth the selection but drafting a long snapper and taking Marshall in the 2nd when we already had 2 good receivers was awful.
  2. Trade for Watson, restructure and backload a couple contracts to bring in at least two starting caliber Olinemen, bring back either Jackson or Gilmore whoever is cheaper, let Reddick walk as he'll want too much money having him and burns makes us too light upfront to stop heavy running teams, extend DJ moore, and trade back a couple of times to get more draft capital to select an off-ball linebacker, a safety, and some Oline depth. Then walk into phill snow's office and make him put Chinn back at linebacker.
  3. Taking Pickett would trap us in QB purgatory for the next 5 years. He'd be just good enough to not be replaced but he's never going to be elite. Think Alex smith or Joe Flaco. If I'm taking a QB in the top 10 he needs to have the ability to be a super star.
  4. Tepper seeing all these young AFC QB's balling and the guy that reject us in stafford making the Superbowl has got to be gut wrenching for him. We are going to be ringing Houston's phones off the hook like a desperate EX girlfriend trying to get Watson.
  5. I do agree that building around Jimmy is a bad idea but bringing him in to stabilize the QB spot till more attractive options present themselves wouldn't be a bad idea if we can get him for relatively cheap.
  6. Either Sam Howell or Matt Corral for me. Pickett just doesn't have a high enough ceiling and Willis while being the most talented will bust here because he needs so much development as a passer.
  7. That's why he needs to be on the first spirit flight out of charlotte if Harbaugh gets an NFL job.
  8. This is the worst-case scenario because it probably ends with us giving up the 6th pick for Jimmy. Fitter and rhule will try to sell us on the fact "he's played in two Superbowl's".
  9. I'd like to see Matthew Stafford win. He deserves it for all the years he suffered in Detroit.
  10. Everyone knew at the end of 2020 that teddy wasn't the answer, but we were all were too eager to move on from him completely instead of having him stay and be the bridge QB to a rookie. In an alternate universe we could have Teddy with one-year remaining on his contract that we could move on from with very little cap hit and a rookie Justin Fields who would've shown flashes with his athleticism in his playing time and an entire draft of picks to improve the Oline and 50 million in cap space without having to restructure anyone.
  11. We need someone to come in and be our version of Alex smith. Someone who we all can accept isn't our franchise guy but can add some stability to the position while we continue to look for a franchise guy. Kirk and Jimmy could both play that role very well, but their current contacts are just too expensive. The fact is there's no short cuts in finding a franchise QB you either have to draft and develop one or pay a premium for one on the trade or free agent market. We tried to gamble on Darnold, and it failed. In hindsight what we should've done is taken a QB last year and let teddy finish being the bridge QB he was brought here to be, but we tried to get too cute by trading for Darnold and now where stuck here with no vet QB on the roster and a failed project in Darnold with very little draft capital to improve the team. So now we're stuck with either riding with another season of Darnold, drafting a guy at 6 who probably isn't worth the selection, trading for an overpriced vet who can maybe make the playoffs in what looks to be a weak division, or having Tepper trade away all the assets we have for Watson.
  12. Well, the games would at least be a lot more entertaining with Jameis Winston. I'd rather watch Winston throw it to DJ or Robbie in double coverage than Sam throwing the ball into the back of his lineman.
  13. There are other ways to build a roster without 1st round picks, but the fact remains in today's NFL unless you have an all-time great coach or defense then you aren't winning anything without a QB.
  14. The number 1 defense in the NFL gave up a FG with 13 seconds left on the clock after a TD. You need a franchise QB to win in the post season. Watson is available and after seeing this I bet Tepper is sold on the idea of getting Watson no matter the price.
  15. This game just sold Tepper on giving Houston a blank check for Watson.
  16. You know Tepper is watching this game and it's going to have him give up all our assets for Watson.
  17. While not the "rockstar" everyone wants he'd actually be a solid hire for OC. Having someone with NFL connections and experience could be able to help bring in more NFL level assistant coaches instead of the current rhule's temple and baylor boys club that we have right now. He was a big part in developing Kirk cousins form RG3's backup to a starting caliber QB. By no means does that mean that we should trade for Kirk at his current price as that would be cap suicide.
  18. As a cheap vet it's honestly not a bad idea. One of our biggest mistakes last year was not having a vet QB on the roster to mentor and push Darnold. He can also come in and start some games when Darnold inevitably falls off a cliff and we won't be stuck with the Pj walker show.
  19. Please let the raiders be dumb enough to get rid of Derek Carr dude is a super underrated QB.
  20. Mike Tomlin was able to coach a successful team with the egos of Ben, Brown, and Bell all in the same locker room. That man can flat out coach and if he ever chose to leave the Steelers, he'll have a long list of suitors.
  21. If Scott Fitterer and Dan Morgan identify a franchise QB in the draft, then you run to the podium and select him. No more trying to take short cuts at fixing the most important position in football. Cam isn't the player he once was and he's not coming back to play for Rhule and Sam while he shows just some truly great throws and physical talent at times his mental game is just completely shot, and our staff has no way of fixing him.
  22. I'm watching for Evan Neal and our 2023 draft pick Bryce Young
