All 7 Chargers fans are gonna jump Rex Ryan after this game.

2nd and 40? Looking like the 2023 panthers out there

I don't understand why Greg Roman and the Chargers coaching staff don't utilize Herbert's elite athleticism more. Roman came from the Ravens and schemed up some good runs for Lamar it wouldn't hurt to try and mix some of that in with Herbert.

Sloppy football from both teams so far

Ladd McConkey is so good.

Deshaun Watson re-injures Achilles--impacts 2025 draft
CmC2k replied to MHS831's topic in 2023 NFL Draft
If Allar doesn't declare then I see the Browns trading the pick to the Raiders for a haul of assets. The Raiders want Sanders bad and they're gonna do everything they can to try and jump ahead of the Giants so they can take him. I think the Browns will go the vet QB route in reuniting kevin stefanski with kirk cousins and hope that they can win enough games over the next 2 years till they can reasonably get out of the Watson contract. -
The Titians seem like a lock to take Cam Ward at 1 then you have the Browns at 2 who could take a QB themselves, but I bet the Raiders try their hardest to get up to that spot to take Sanders. Then you have the Giants at 3 who have the biggest QB need in the NFL.

Yes, there's plenty of examples of guys with his physical skill set rising up draft boards and in a weak QB class I'm sure if he declares he'd still be a top 3 pick.
-
The plan this year was to find out if Bryce was our guy, establish a culture, and build the identity of this team. I'd say we accomplished our goal. Now of course Bryce didn't start off the season as we hoped but I respect the leadership of this team to not panic and to stay the course.

For the 1st time in 7 years we look like a stable and competent organization that has a plan in place. After all the chaos and instability over the last several years to finally see some stability and sense of normalcy around the team is a massive improvement. Hopefully now we can start to build this organization back up and get back to competing at a high level and no longer be the laughingstock of the NFL. LADIES AND GENTELMEN WE ARE SO BACK!!!!!

Big strong physical QB prospect in a weak QB class I think he'd rocket up draft boards in the pre-draft process. He'd be a top 3 lock with a chance to go #1 if he comes out.
-
Agreed. I'm all for getting him as much help as we can but based on his past recommendations, he should have no say in what personal we target. Nick Scott, Jordan fuller, DJ Johnson, Jamie Robinson, Troy Hill, A'Shawn Robinson, Josey Jewell, DeShawn Williams. All guys we brought in cause of Evero and the only decent guys being Robinson and Jewell. He has shown in Denver and last year here that he can run a good defense when the talent is in place but he's an awful scout.

https://x.com/NFLNotify/status/1876292501927288959 With 3 QB needy teams at the top of the draft he should really consider entering the draft. He would have a good shot at going #1 to the Titians.

I can tell you that based on our luck the player drafted right before us at 7 will turn out to be a star

Lou Anarumo getting fired is a shocker. Cincy gave him nothing to work with, but I wouldn't hate him as a Evero replacement if we let him go

We passed over Evero for HC here twice and we denied him permission to interview for other DC jobs last year. The guy doesn't wanna be here and it'll be best for both parties to go their separate ways. Let Canales try and recruit Robert Saleh as they do have prior connections and let's switch back to the 4-3. I'm not saying that Evero was sandbagging but would you give 110% at a job where you were passed up on a promotion you felt you were qualified for twice and have that same company keep you from interviewing elsewhere?

If we lose we can pick as high as 2 and if we win the lowest we can drop is to 9 I think.

You are right about Horn and that's just due to his health but when he's healthy he's been amazing and an argument can certainly be made that he is top 5, but Brown is absolutely top 5 and is the 2nd best run stopping DT behind Dexter Lawrence. Both guys go overlooked because of the fact they play here.

Miles Sanders legacy game incoming
-
Both players are arguably top 5 in the NFL at their respective positions and have stated multiple times how they wanna be here and how they want this team to win. That sounds like a leader to me.

Every class that doesn't have elite QB's at the top is always considered weak by the national media. This class has really good depth on the defense side of the ball and at RB. If both Mason Graham and Abdul Carter are gone by our pick I'd try to trade down and get extra picks to address our lack of talent on defense and our overall lack of depth.

We need to come out of this draft with at least 1 good offensive weapon and as much defensive help as possible. I'd actually be ok with us not drafting a center this year with this being a weak center class and I feel that both Brady and Mayes both can be decent centers. We also have the option of resigning Corbett who should be pretty cheap considering his recent injury history but before he went down he was actually playing really well in his first year as a full-time center. Getting a healthy Derrick Brown back along with Mason Graham, A'shawn Robinson, Jaden Crumedy, and a veteran NT and we could be very nicely set up at Dline next year.

Ickey is gonna be a foundational piece on this team for a long time. He's a good young tackle who's developing nicely and will soon be a top LT in the NFL in a couple years. Pick up the 5th year option and when the time comes pay the man. We have a good Oline now so let's continue to invest in it and maybe we can finally have back to back winning seasons here. I really don't wanna return to the "can he play LT" discussions here on the huddle .
