  1. Bryce is a really smart kid and I'm sure he knows all the answers to the test but he hasn't been able to overcome his lack of physical tools and other DC's know this and play him accordingly. I think Bryce has good processing but when the correct read is the WR 30 to 40 yards down field and you have a defensive lineman coming at you what can he really do? He just doesn't have the arm to effectively and consistently hurt the defense and I think that's what's gonna do him in. Pime example look at the INT versus Dallas last year when Thelien was wide open down the seam and Bryce threw it from a clean pocket and the ball was way short. Dc's watched that and knew that Bryce can't throw the ball deep.
  2. I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way. 2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out. If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
  3. I could be a great DB to if I was allowed to grab the WR arms when they try to catch it
  4. So we can just grab the arm of the WR now when they try to catch the ball?
  5. Another early snap by corbett. He needs to be benched he's made so many mistakes today
  6. Middle of the field is WIDE OPEN EVERY PASS PLAY!!! GET EVERO OUT OF HERE NOW!!
  7. Panthers win 27-14 The game stays close for the most part but the panthers score halfway through the 4th quarter followed by an INT by Corey Thornton to ice the game. Bryce goes for over 200 yards passing with TD passes to XL and Renfrow and 1 rushing TD but he throws a really bad INT to Travis Hunter and the Huddle hyperfixates on that one throw for the next 5 days.
  8. There's gotta be a 3rd string QB out there that is better than Plummer. Bryce Perkins is probably excited knowing that if he plays well tonight he has a shot and taking his spot.
  9. This is why we need to let our actual play callers call the plays in the preseason so we can get an actual look at these guys. The whole operation tonight looks much better.
  10. No way should we take him at that contract but if he's cut I'd be into bringing him in and switching him to LB. His days of covering guys deep down the field are over but he's still a good blitzer and he'd be a good linebacker in sub and nickel packages.
  11. The Bengals are absolutely delusional if they think they are gonna get anything close to that asking price. Just look back to the Brian Burns trade where we only got a 2nd, a 5th and a additional 5th round conditional pick in the following draft. Burns was in his prime at age 26 wanting 30 million a year and while Hendrickson might be a reasonably better player he's going to be 31 this season and is also seeking a contract around 30 million a year also. You can argue whether you would've made the Burns deal or not but the point is that a precedent was set for what an elite pass rusher going into their franchise tag year was worth. I'd offer them a 3rd and they can pick 2 between DJ wonnum, Adam Thelien or a 5th round pick. As for the contract something like 3 years at 30 million seems like a good fit and I trust Brant Tillis to make the numbers work with the cap.
  12. Bryce is fine I have no worries about him for week 1. However, what I am concerned about is that Andy Dalton seems to have fallen off a cliff and now with his injured Elbow we have a huge question mark at the backup QB spot because there should be no scenario where Jack Plummer should ever see the field again. I'd like to see us bring in another veteran in at least maybe someone like Jameis or if he doesn't make the team in Tampa, I'd really like to see us to bring back Teddy Bridgewater.
