  1. I really don't get this move by the Vikings. Why trade away assets to move up when you are still not gonna be able to get any of the top 3 guys in Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels because it's pretty much a lock that all of them will go in the first 3 picks with MHJ going at 4. I mean are they really gonna package 11 and 23 and probably more to get to 5 to jump the Giants for jj mccarthy?
  2. The past couple of years I've expect the Panthers to be at least average to maybe good so I won't be surprised if this year when I expect us to be awful, we actually go out and win a bunch of games.
  3. The dude's back story has me rooting for him. He would definitely be a DAWG that Morgan is looking for.
  4. He's gonna have a game where he has 10 catches for 150 yards and 2 TD and then go bass fishing afterwards.
  5. Bryce seeing an open WR and having a pocket to step up and throw into next season. 432326315_24924415317202434_521484527188498064_n.mp4
  6. I get that point but this year we need to make sure we surround Bryce with as much offense talent as we can so we can see if he can be the guy moving forward. I just don't wanna end up in a spot where the WR we take at 33 has the same non-existent impact as Mingo did last year.
  7. Do you by any chance know our draft history of taking WR's in the 2nd round. Spoiler Alert it's not very good. I'd be ok giving up pick 39 if we were able to get Higgins to sign a fair long term deal but if he's asking for top tier WR 1 money then yea I'm out and would rather roll the dice in the draft.
  8. The Bengals can kick rocks if the demand is both 2nd picks bit if they just wanna take the picks we got for Burns then I'm all in.
  9. Deion Sanders would be a worse HC than Matt Rhule at the NFL level.
  10. Give me Damien Lewis and Evan Brown from the seahawks as our new LG and C. Both guys are young, and scheme fits with the added benefit of having already established chemistry with each other.
  11. Bring back D'onta foreman and go ahead and cut Sanders to start cleaning up all the bad contracts Fitt left us with.
  12. Ian Thomas is the new Brenton Bersin in that he somehow manages to stay on the team year after year of being terrible. If Dan doesn't cut him to save $6 million in cap, then I'll fully believe that Ian has dirt on either Dave or Nicole. Just let it sink in that Ian had 56 TOTAL YARDS RECEIVING YARDS LAST YEAR.
  13. With all the cleaning up of Fitterer's bad moves it seems that Dan really was the only guy who spoke reason in the front office and that maybe he and Fitterer disagreed on a lot of things that were just never reported or leaked.
  14. I would like the pick but regardless of if we pick him or not, we definitely need a WR who can go get the 50/50 ball. My pro comp for Coleman is Tee Higgins. I'm a little concerned about the 40 time but I'm sure he'll have the typical pro day improvement that everyone has when they run a bad 40 at the combine.
  15. F it lets hire Nicole for GM and have Matt Rhule's wife be assistant GM.
  16. We all know that Bryce doesn't have the strongest NFL arm but to blame the lack of a downfield passing game solely on him is laughable. We had the worst WR's in the NFL at creating separation and a scheme that did little on getting guys open. Also, the O line couldn't block a strong gust of wind for more than 2 seconds so it's no surprise that defenses played within 20 years of the LOS because they knew that.
  17. I bet one of those is not running by the QB and only grabbing them with 1 arm and missing the sack. I like Burns but he has so many miss sacks.
  18. https://www.sbnation.com/2023/2/21/23608375/nfl-franchise-tag-transition-exclusive-rules-salary-lamar-jackson-daniel-jones I'm defiantly a fan of the Non-exclusive franchise tag. If Burns thinks he's worth $30 million a season, then allow him to test the market to see if another team will offer it. If he does, then we can match the offer sheet or let him go but get 2 1st from the team that signs him. Burns is a good player, and I would love to have him back on a fair deal but his lack of a take over a game skill set makes him not worth $30 million a year. During the 1st half against ATL in week 1 Burns flashed the ability to take over a game like other $30 million a year pass rushers do but that was the only time he's ever shown the ability to do that.
  19. Frankie Luvu is the type of guy you wanna reward with a good payday. Dude came over as an unknown reserve player from the Jets and worked his way up to being a starter and has turned into a really good player.
  20. If not for Keith Taylor blowing 3 coverages against Mike Evans and getting cooked the entire game against the Steelers, then Wilks is probably our HC right now. Wilks took over a dead team from Rhule and put his heart and soul into this team and for a short time brought back the culture of this franchise.
  21. If Ben Johnson wants to stay in Detroit and not be a HC then that's fine no one's got an issue with that, but he needs to stop taking all the Head coaching interviews with teams and scheduling 2nd interviews with them only to pull out the day before the interview. If he only just did it once to us last year, then his story is believable, but he's now done it in back-to-back years with Washington and Seattle. The whole thing just seems sketchy and little bit snaky to me. Just my opinion but I think that Ben Johnson knows that he doesn't have the personality or the leadership ability to be a HC which is why he keeps pulling out of jobs where he's the obvious Number 1 choice for that team. He knows that despite that red flag teams are so desperate for a young offensive HC that they ignore any and all red flags and offer him the job.
  22. Yeah, if he doesn't wanna be here then I'm ok with him going now because it's clear he probably won't resign with us or would get a HC job soon so might as well rip the band aid off now and move on but I'm not letting him leave this year to go to a contender in conference for no compensation.
  23. Owners and front office people talk too. Just think if you a GM or an owner of another team are you gonna wanna hire a guy who quit on his team in the middle of his contract just because he didn't wanna be there. That's not a good look for someone who's looking to be a HC.
  24. If Evero truly doesn't wanna be here then I'm ok with allowing him to seek out a trade for himself but I'm not letting him out of his contract to go to a contending team in conference for free. I don't think it's holding him hostage it's just the nature of the business. Evero is a talented young DC who's gonna be a head coach soon so if the Rams or Packers really want him then I'm asking for a 3rd or at least a 4th round pick in this year's draft to let Evero leave. Him leaving would also mean we'd have to hire an almost new defensive staff and our players would have to do another year of learning a new scheme.
  25. I think it speaks volumes for how well Dave Canales was thought of in Tampa by seeing him be able to bring some of these solid veteran coaches with him. They must know that without Canales Todd Bowles will go back to being on the hot seat like he was before the start of last season.
