  1. Tepper and Rhule seem dead set on Pickett at 6.
  2. Watch Teddy pre injury in 2014 and 2015. People really forget just how bad that injury was and how much it killed his arm strength and his mobility. I think the offense will really benefit from having a QB who's able to at the very least be able to operate it. The offense in 2020 would run circles around the 2021 offense and that's all because we had a competent QB.
  3. Teddy used to be really mobile before his knee injury and Pickett has a slightly better arm, but they are really similar.
  4. I do think Willis and Pickett do some nice things but you're crazy if you think you can compare this year's draft of QB's to last years.
  5. Love is better than both Willis and Pickett and if we can get him for something cheap like a next year 3rd and our extra 5th this year, I'd absolutely do it. If it doesn't work out, you're only really out a 3rd and you can just move on and draft a QB next year in a better class and with hopefully better coaching staff.
  6. I wouldn't absolutely hate this I'm just curious as to where you heard this from.
  7. We already have an $18 million bridge QB on the roster. Let's stop taking shortcuts and do this the right way by scouting, drafting, and developing a QB.
  8. Whelp pencil us a pass rusher in at 6. Tepper is going to want to make him pay for skipping out on us after he offered the house.
  9. Production gets you in the door, but traits and character get you drafted.
  10. The falcons got the ok come get me sign from Watson. Now it remains to be seen if they can actually do it without crippling themselves if they do get him. Entirely possible the falcons come back to him and say they just can't make the money and personal work. One thing that helps Carolina is that we are pretty much set to bring him on as soon as he signs the trade paperwork. These other teams have to jump through 20 hoops just to make him to be able to fit into their cap.
  11. No, I like Minshew but all of panther nation is done with these half measured "just good enough" QB's. Get Watson or draft Malik Willis and let's get stable at the position again.
  12. The only thing I want more than for Watson to come here is for all this to be over.
  13. We really just entered the 3Q of the trade negations. Let's hope our first half lead holds up
  14. If the saints can go from being 70+ million over the cap to being able to afford Watson in the matter of a few days, then we need to demand that the NFL launch an investigation to whatever they are doing because there's no way that should be possible.
  15. Let's be honest and put the politics and personal convections aside and let's look at this from just a football perspective. He's almost 35 and hasn't played football in 6 years he'd have a hard time being half the QB Darnold is.
  16. With all the picks we look to be throwing at the Texans I hope that fitter can find some way to include Darnold in the trade. Waston has a $40 million cap hit this year that we can't afford to take on at the moment.
  17. Cam and Willis seem too already have a good relationship and I think Cam knows that his time as a starting QB is almost over, but he can still be a good leader for a team and mentor for a young QB.
  18. If I was forced to sign a QB in free agency I'd much rather have Marcus Mariota than Mitch. Ultimately any sign or trade that isn't for Watson is just a waste of time and resources. Take either the safe option in Pickett or gamble with the upside of Willis in the draft.
  19. I'd rather watch Teddy checkdown on 4th and 8 again than trade assets and pay Kirk 35M a year. Kirk is also on the last year of his deal and with how we reek of desperation for a QB right now you best believe we would get screwed in extension talks.
  20. We are either going to trade the farm for Watson, overpay for a veteran QB, or take Pickett at 6 unless Corral just shoots up the board. Malik has a crazy high ceiling but he's nowhere near ready to start for a team next year. With Malik needing that much development we are going to end up taking Pickett who's more ready to play and has the best chance to save Rhule's job.
  21. I like Carson Strong's arm, but that knee is gonna scare away a lot of teams.
