  1. When you take a QB with the #1 pick in the draft the hope is that they are an elite franchise QB. With how the much elite QB's are getting on their 2nd contracts I don't have a problem with Tepper being in on the conversation about who we take. Obviously Tepper doesn't need to be making the pick or overruling the group consensus of our coaching staff and scouting department but if he wants to be in the room and be a part of the conversation then I don't got an issue with it because if Bryce Young or CJ Stroud turn out to be elite like we all think they can be then it's gonna be Tepper who's gonna be giving out that 200 million dollar plus extension. At the end of the day Tepper writes the checks for the franchise and it's clear he at least wants to be involved in the big decisions but he's not some super crazy meddling owner like a lot of people claim him to be. If he didn't step in an overrule Matt Rhule as he drove the franchise into the ground, then what makes you think he'd come in and overrule his new elite experienced coaching staff?
  2. Since it seems we are locked in on Young at #1 I want the rest of the draft to be pure chaos. Please take Will Levis at #2 Houston
  3. So many games in the NFL are decided by one possession or come down to one play and Bryce seems to have that magic that'll show up in those big moments. That is what separates and makes Bryce the favorite in my book. CJ could very well have that ability too but with Bryce, we've seen it where with CJ we just haven't.
  4. The big difference in why I believe we favor Bryce over CJ is that we saw Bryce's ability to elevate his team with a lesser supporting cast this year at Bama. We've also seen Bryce's ability to show up in big games and in the clutch find a way to win. With CJ we just haven't had the opportunity to see that skillset with how loaded Ohio states roster is.
  5. "The answer is on the roster" "Missed opportunities"
  6. I think Marvin McNutt is still available
  7. With the signing of Hurst to be the starter I could see Thomas requesting a trade and Fitt told him that it would be impossible with his current salary.
  8. It's definitely a nice change of pace from past years where everyone always knew our pick weeks beforehand.
  9. Everyday there has been a new report on who the panthers prefer with the 1st pick. The national sports media people have no idea who we want and are just guessing to help build up excitement for the draft. If any of the local beat writers or insiders come out and say we have a preference then I'll take notice but until then I'll stick to my gut and say it's either Young or Stroud whichever one, we pick will be a great pick for our team.
  10. I'd be down for Jakobi Meyers as long as the price is reasonable. Just make sure he's not on the field for an end of the game lateral situation.
  11. All this talk about trading down is just a smokescreen to try and get the Texans to panic and trade up 1 spot. Thers's been smoke for months that Stroud is the "Apple of our eye" and he'll be the pick if Houston doesn't bite. If Houston is truly comfortable between Young or Stroud, then they'll stay put but if they truly want Young above all else then I believe they'll throw us a 2nd round pick to move up 1 spot to secure their guy and make sure their division rival Colts can't jump them.
  12. We do get the Texans at home this year. Hopefully the NFL will give us a primetime game so we can watch these 2 go against each other head-to-head under the lights on national TV.
  13. I love Bryce Young, but Stroud looked to be on another level vs Georgia.
  14. Carr had a short reign of being the best QB in the division.
  15. The best part about this is how to completely screws the Colts.
  16. We need to execute a trade into the top 3 as soon as possible. Don't wait for the offseason QB carousel to unfold or risk the chance that another team gets aggressive and outbids you. Go ahead and lock in your plan to get one of the top 3 guys so you can go into free agency and the rest of the offseason with peace of mind and start to put together a development plan in place for the rookie QB.
  17. I think trading up to #5 with the seahawks is far more realistic. Fitter still has ties to that front office, and it'll put us in the perfect spot to select Stroud or Young when the Colts or the Texans fall for the Levis hype train that'll build up during the combine and his pro day. I think we could get to #5 with only giving up #9 and our 2nd and 3rd round picks from the 49ers. Would then probably need to trade down from our 1st 2nd round pick to recoup some draft capital after.
