Ron is good coach but his propensity to refuse to play younger players is his ultimate downfall. His old school mentality of "making the young guys earn it' while playing an obviously less talented veteran or by not bringing outside help when a key piece of the team goes down but instead insist always that "the answers on the roster" is why he'll never build a sustain winner. Ron's teams will never be outright bad, they'll hang around being average to sometimes maybe good but never great unless he's being caried by the players.

I wanted Baker to work out here so bad. I love his competitive spirit and his moxie, but he played just so terribly bad here that there's no way to defend him. He did help get Rhule fired tho so for that I'll forever be thankful.

I want Tampa and Baker to play just good enough to put themselves out of range of getting Caleb Willams and Drake May.

The outcome of preseason games doesn't matter but the execution and effort during the game certainly does matter. From the 1st and 2nd string players I wanna see them be able to execute what is called and from the 3rd and 4th string players I can be ok with sloppy execution I just wanna see effort and hustle because you're playing for your job and future in the league.

I think the root of all this outrage over preseason games is due to the fact we had such a universally agreed upon good offseason. Most everyone was pleased with the new players and coaches we brought in and now that we face just the tiniest bit of adversity, we assume the sky is falling and we panic. Of course, you don't want to see all the mental errors from the O-line and the lack of pass rush from the 1st team defense, but most guys are out there just going through the motions and trying to avoid injuries in a meaningless game while the coaching staffs calls a basic gameplan to avoid putting anything useful on film for our first two opponents who are division rivals to look at and game plan for.

Cam Erving proves to be a valuable piece in the panther's Offensive line room by having the flexibility to play all 5 spots on the Offensive line and sucking at every single one.

Michael Jordan will develop into a solid starting offensive lineman. for a XFL team

I want to see Bumper pool get some more reps.

Brown is a monster

If we had Steve Smith in the Superbowl vs the broncos, then I fully believe we win that game. Let Aqib Talib try that cheap face mask on Steve Smith instead of Philly brown and you would've seen the biggest team fight in Superbowl history. Smith would've given the offense a spark that they didn't have that game.

I know Ron gets a lot of the blame for running Cam into the ground, but I feel that Gettleman deserves more blame for that then he currently gets. Gettleman's refusal to build the team around Cam is what forced Ron to have to make Cam carry the entire offense.

Mecklenburg County manager says no to public funding for Panthers
CmC2k replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Tepper wants any taxpayer money, then the least he could do is return us back to a natural grass playing field. Despite all the disagreements and animosity, we have towards each other sometimes returning to a natural grass field is the one thing universally agreed upon and wanted by the fanbase, players, and media. -
It baffles me how Rhule tries so hard to not accept full responsibility for his failure here. Tepper and Hurney where foolish enough to give him total control over the whole organization so of course he's going to be held response for the failure. You best believe if he would've been successful here, he would've been singing his own praises nonstop about how his "Brand" made us a winner. I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if we have some kind of success here this year Rhule will come out of the woodwork to say how he laid the foundation for it and try to take some of the credit.

There where 2 positives of Bakers tenure here. Number 1 is that his maturity level seemed to really improve here despite his terrible play and negative media attention he received because of it. Number 2 is that he helped get Matt Rhule fired. Other than that, I can't really think of anything else.

I always forget just how massive jeff otah was. Such a shame that injuries ruined his career.

I really wanna see the new staff use Laviska on some down the field routes instead of the stupid orbit motion pass McAdoo only used him for last year. Dude is a nightmare for DB's to try and consistently tackle.

Dave Tepper has become a major asset for the Panthers
CmC2k replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The thing I can appreciate with Tepper is that he genuinely cares about wanting to win. He's not some no-show owner who only cares about turning a profit every year and doesn't care about building a sustainable winner. -
If Drake Maye was in this draft would you pick him over Young?
CmC2k replied to ENC Pantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
1. Caleb Williams 2. Bryce Young 3. Drake Maye I like Drake Maye but 1 year of production in a weak ACC isn't enough to put him over Bryce. Now Caleb Williams on the other hand that dude is going to be an absolute DAWG. -
Going to Tampa would be the death sentence for AR's career.

1. Car - Bryce Young 2. Hou - Tyree Wilson 3. Ten (From Ari) - CJ Stroud 4. Ind - Will Levis 5. Sea - Jalen Carter 6. Det - Devon Witherspoon 7. Las Vegas - Anthony Richardson 8. Atlanta - Will Anderson 9. Chi - Paris Johnson 10. Phi - Christian Gonzalez

Unless it's coming from Charlie Campbell then I don't believe it. That dude has aced our pick every year it seems like.
