  1. I think it was the KC game in 2020 when he stood out to me.
  2. Sam Franklin is the one Matt Rhule guy who's been good in his role. Excited to see what he does as a starter.
  3. Other than the lack of consistent winning I feel that a big part of the lack of enthusiasm in the fanbase can be attributed to the fact that there's no personality to this team whatsoever. I hate to be the guy who brings up Wilks again but even in his short interim term here as head coach you saw that he was building a culture and personality to this team. Most NFL fans both inside the Panthers fanbase and out view us as the Carolina I hope Bryce Young turns out good Panthers and with Bryce's early results being as mixed as they are then you're left with a dull and neutered fanbase.
  4. What if in 2015 we played the Patriots in the Super Bowl instead of the Broncos? We matched up a whole lot better to beat a team like the Patriots than the Broncos and with the whole deflate gate scandal maybe we would've been on the right side of the biased officiating as the commissioner and the league would've wanted to stick it to the Patriots instead of wanting to give their golden boy Payton Manning a feel-good story send off.
  5. What if Rhule didn't stop Hurney from trading up in the 2020 draft and we ended up with Justin Herbert?
  6. I can't give an honest evaluation on Bryce because of how inept every phase of the offense looks so far. From receivers not creating enough separation, the Olines trouble in pass pro, the turnovers and Reichs vanilla play calling. That whole side of the ball has to get it together quick, or this will be another year of wasting a really talented defense. I think in time the offense will get it together let's just hope that we aren't too far out of running for it to matter.
  7. This is Rhule level of offensive incompetence.
  8. This is the Baker we all thought we were getting last year.
  9. He got baited twice by one of the best safeties in the league. He's a rookie QB with receivers who struggle to create separation down the field but overall, he looked like he belongs, but he'll need time to fully adjust to the NFL game and that's alright. Expecting him to come out of the gate and be elite was always a pipe dream. Today's performance will definitely be a good learning experience for him.
  10. We gave up 3 turnovers in our own territory on the road. Doesn't matter who the coach or QB is you don't win in the NFL doing that.
  11. Arthur smith choosing to risk his job on a 2nd year Desmond ridder instead of trying to sign Lamar is hilarious.
  12. It's almost like guys play better in schemes they fit in.
  13. This is the most excited I've been for a panther game since Cam's return against the Cardinals.
  14. Bryce Young throws for 515 yards and 6 TD's and is crowned king of charlotte by the end of the night. Then Jeremy imposes a new rule on the huddle where any Bryce young slander will result in a perma ban.
  15. For the first time in Panther's history, we will some actual tangible half time adjustments to the game plan and play better in the 2nd half.
  16. The 49ers with Sam Darnold at the helm beat the New York Jets 28-17.
  17. Ron is good coach but his propensity to refuse to play younger players is his ultimate downfall. His old school mentality of "making the young guys earn it' while playing an obviously less talented veteran or by not bringing outside help when a key piece of the team goes down but instead insist always that "the answers on the roster" is why he'll never build a sustain winner. Ron's teams will never be outright bad, they'll hang around being average to sometimes maybe good but never great unless he's being caried by the players.
  18. I wanted Baker to work out here so bad. I love his competitive spirit and his moxie, but he played just so terribly bad here that there's no way to defend him. He did help get Rhule fired tho so for that I'll forever be thankful.
  19. I want Tampa and Baker to play just good enough to put themselves out of range of getting Caleb Willams and Drake May.
  20. The outcome of preseason games doesn't matter but the execution and effort during the game certainly does matter. From the 1st and 2nd string players I wanna see them be able to execute what is called and from the 3rd and 4th string players I can be ok with sloppy execution I just wanna see effort and hustle because you're playing for your job and future in the league.
  21. I think the root of all this outrage over preseason games is due to the fact we had such a universally agreed upon good offseason. Most everyone was pleased with the new players and coaches we brought in and now that we face just the tiniest bit of adversity, we assume the sky is falling and we panic. Of course, you don't want to see all the mental errors from the O-line and the lack of pass rush from the 1st team defense, but most guys are out there just going through the motions and trying to avoid injuries in a meaningless game while the coaching staffs calls a basic gameplan to avoid putting anything useful on film for our first two opponents who are division rivals to look at and game plan for.
