  1. In the end it doesn't really matter. Kap doesn't want to play. So even if we got down the road with him on the verge of signing him, his last card to play will be to ask for an astronomical dollar figure and blame us for not being serious when we turn it down. Our name will get dragged thru the mud. Good times.
  2. Kap wants the "what if" stories. He will never allow himself to actually play and ruin the fantasy.
  3. Corral's nickname is "O.K.," because he's always ready for a shootout with the Cowboys.
  4. The last time Kap was good, so was RG3. It's gonna be tough for him to make an impact as a 35 year old running QB who struggles with reading defenses and has been out of football. Hopefully someone will take a shot, just so we can move on. But in reality he doesn't want a shot. He knows where his bread is buttered now, so he will sabatoge any real opportunity he gets.
  5. Here's a good one, because its prior to the Watson situation and before things had fully come to light. This will get you started in your research to catch up with the current situation in Houston. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2921833-report-texans-staffers-concerned-players-were-being-watched-away-from-facility
  6. We can't even begin to have a conversation until you spend time catching up. Research this man.
  7. Part of the benefit of the Rooney Rule is potentially saving a team from itself. In our case it didn't work.
  8. When your boss hired a private investigator to follow you and other people in the organization around...yes that's "hurt feelings" that are hard to get over. Its the most dysfunctional front office in the league right now. And that's saying alot.
  9. The situation will eventually find a happy ending.
  10. McAfee did not about face. He has tripled down. McAfee was the first to report Rodgers going back to the Packers. However, Pat McAfee was very clear that NO DEAL had been reached. Rapsheet then reported minutes later, but threw in new contract details. Here's the rub. McAfee's source for the breaking news was Aaron Rodgers himself. And Aaron was specific on what he wanted Pat to say when he broke the story. I am very interested to see what happens next. If the numbers hit where Rapsheet said, then no harm no foul. But if they are not the same numbers, things start to look really shady. At that point it says to me that Rodgers called Pat (which is 100% true) and gave his buddy Pat the honor of breaking the story. Rapsheet saw the tweet, then quickly jumped into action while adding an unconfirmed contract figure...just to upstage McAfee. I love Pat.
  11. It depends on how you define "more money." Godwin will get no less than 120% of the value of his tag from last year, which means he's pushing $20M for a 1 year tag. And it guarantees he will cash in next year, because they would owe him QB type money to tag him for a 3rd time.
  12. It actually did. His downfall was for reasons outside of that.
  13. Getting franchise tagged must feel completely different depending on who you play for. Player getting franchised by the Chiefs: Player gets franchised by the Texans:
  14. It could be for a bunch of different reasons. I know that the Lions old GM (Bob Quinn) liked to free up cap space...just in case he needed it. His logic is that you can free up $5M with a player, but then if you don't need it you can just let the cap space roll over and help pay for the money you just pushed into the following year. So in a way it is a "no harm, no foul" in his eyes. Its like taking $200 out of the bank in cash, then putting it back if you don't use it.
  15. You are correct, they are "dead cap hits."
  16. We are freeing up space for all of the dead money we will have for the final 5 years of Rhule's contract after we fire him.
  17. I'm okay with parting with a few pieces but the idea of blowing up an entire NFL roster is fool's gold.
  18. He just lined the guys up according to their physical traits.
