He gave you an insult instead of a real response? Weird.

ITT we learned that CNN is actually hiding how bad things are, to protect their boy Trump.

See anything wrong with this picture?

This is so true. If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it. And as individuals we sometimes try to justify how we vote/what sources we go to for information by saying "well despite them doing X, Y and Z..." But it doesn't work like that. When they get the desired result (votes, ratings), whatever tactics they are using become reinforced.

Oh look another "Republicans are evil" post.

You have a serious obsession with people "barely passing" things in high school. You even assign it to people who were standouts in that domain. So many times the most intelligent people can get the farthest off track. They've been right about so many things for so long, that once they set down a path...they become the hardest to convince they are wrong.

That's great advice to give someone via social media. LOL

Well, it depends on who's President at that time

Because that's not how masks work.

I don't think you understand what he's saying. You can say what you are saying, just not in this thread. Go over to the TB and fire away. This is a special thread that's being allowed on the main board...with conditions. There is another coronavirus thread (over 200 pages long) in the TB.

A friend of mine just got this notice from tickets she bought a long time ago for a baseball game. When everything appeared to be cancelled, Stubhub told her that she couldn't get a refund until AFTER the date that the event was supposed to take place. That would make it official. Then the day came and went, and they held onto her money with the idea that the game might be rescheduled. This notice is basically saying they acknowledge the cancellation (months later) but will be placing her money as a coupon for future events?

I went to Michigan State and lived in Michigan for about 10 years, so I am aware. The stabbing happened right around the corner from my friend's house.

https://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/news/local/2020/07/14/police-two-crime-scenes-following-stabbing-windsor-township/5433647002/ DELTA TWP. – A Grand Ledge man who stabbed an elderly man inside a Quality Dairy store after being refused service for not wearing a mask was shot and killed by an Eaton County deputy several miles away, Michigan State Police said. After the Grand Ledge man, Sean Ernest Ruis, 43, walked into the QD at Lansing Road and North Canal Road at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, a 77-year-old male customer confronted him about not wearing a mask, MSP Lt. Brian Oleksyk said. Tuesday was the second day of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s order that masks must be worn inside businesses.

More insults - nice. That was literally copied and pasted from his post history.

Translation: I hate anyone that isn't white

Why do you need to launch personal insults? And YOU are trying to outsmart the experts, since you declared anyone who says something has no clue what they are talking about. Now the tap dancing starts. So you won't stand up and address what you said to that guy. You were wrong, but I wouldn't expect you to admit it. This message board stuff is serious bizness.

Would you say Dr. Fauci doesn't know how masks work? Would you say fiddling with the mask and touching your face is perfectly fine? Did Dr. Fauci make up a lie about it being a potential issue? You want to call someone out on bringing it up, let's really hash it out. Because lord forbid we say its an issue, but the reward far outweighs the risk. That's too damn rational.

There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask. When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And, often, there are unintended consequences — people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face. - Dr. Fauci

My American friends make fun of and laugh at people in European and Asian countries.

The higher risk category starts in the early 40s. And it goes up with health factors, including obesity. How many chubby teachers did you have? How many teachers in their 40s or older did you have? I think when you combine the two, you will see a ton of them. And the sheer number doesnt matter as much as the fact that every school has them. So once a handful or more of them get it...now what? And again, you also have to account for the administration staff as well. Lots and lots of them are in the higher risk category as well.

If you have kids teaching kids, kids running the schools, kids driving the school buses and kids raising themselves when they get home...there's no reason to shut down the schools. The issue is not the kids, its all of the people they come in contact with. And maybe school has changed since I was there, but a majority of my teachers could be considered higher risk.
