  1. In 2014 the attorney launched a website and billboard campaign to get Johnny Manziel drafted by the Texans. In his press conference the other day when asked about the timing, he said he doesn't care about football and doesn't follow the Texans. Yeah, okay buddy.
  2. Nope, I tried to reference that play. He specifically referenced a different play, where Patrick Surtain actually got Moss'd. However, it was a totally different player. Or maybe Pitts changed his number and name on the back of his jersey, I'm not sure yet. He literally posted a video and specifically pointed to a time point. It wasn't Pitts.
  3. Did he change numbers and rename himself Grimes?
  4. Nope. That was a kid that was mainly a special teams player who had literally made his first college tackle a handful of weeks earlier.
  5. I am not inclined to believe that this kid was a complete headcase and a handful to keep on the field at Georgia...yet the Georgia coachess were somehow able to keep him barely making it to games and then lied to NFL coaches about it. Especially when a fellow Bulldog on the Titans staff called to check on Wilson's character. I am more inclined to believe that Wilson's issues at GA were somewhat normal for a college kid, and something is different now and it needs to be addressed. I would also say that the Titans "tuff love" approach didn't work. This seems like a player with some issues and someone needs to intervene.
  6. Pitts had 1 catch for 10 yards against Surtain. And he had 2 catches for 25 yards if you add in zone coverage as a "matchup." This is not helping your case.
  7. The management in Houston is a dumpster fire right now. Even JJ Watt wanted out.
  8. I would take him. I would just prefer not to give up a king's ransom.
  9. Exactly. I love it when people start their man crush on Pitts by saying "think of him as a WR" to try to get over the TE position value constraints. Well, the only damn reason Pitts is rated so high is because he is so unique as a pass catcher at the TE position. As a WR he's not all that unique...not one of the top 3 WRs...and possibly not even a 1st round pick.
  10. To be fair on the she-said part, its hard for her to talk with a cawk in her mouth.
  11. He was dumb enough to bring in Jeff George, but smart enough to bench Ryan Leaf.
  12. June Jones also thought Andre Ware was going to be a great NFL quarterback as well. So there's that. I think Mac Jones has proven that if you give him time and open receivers, he can work wonders. So if you are a team with a good offensive line and receivers who get open, you can consider him. If you struggle to pass block and get separation in the receiving core...you should run away fast.
  13. The key is to scattershot as many variations of a draft ranking as possible. Then you always have at least one to refer back to that "got it right."
  14. Retired: Peyton Manning, Ronnie Hillman, Demaryius Thomas (maybe not by choice), Owen Daniels, Ryan Harris, Evan Mathis, Louis Vasquez, Demarcus Ware, Brandon Marshall, Aqib Talib, TJ Ward and Darian Stewart. With Denver in 2020: Von Miller and Sylvester Williams (left and came back) Still in NFL: Emmanual Sanders, Matt Paradis, Michael Schofield, Derek Wolfe, Malik Jackson, Danny Trevathan and Chris Harris. Its interesting that we had 2 of their starters on the 2015 Broncos offensive line (Schofield and Paradis)
  15. If you are Ben, you have every incentive to pretend to want to play the 2021 season until after that $15M roster bonus hits. But after that roster bonus, there is very little incentive to actually play the season for $4M. If he chooses to retire there is a small chance they can go after some of his money. I doubt the Steelers would do that, but its an option on the table. So to me if I'm Ben I'm telling everybody I'm coming back for 2021 and I'm forcing the Steelers to either pay me...cut me...or negotiate something with me. Retiring before the 3rd day of the league year (when his $15M roster bonus hits) makes zero sense.
  16. Perfectly said and I agree. Pat Kirwan likes to say "can the backup go 2-2 over a 4 game stretch as the starter?" Thats the target range, as teams kind of figure out what you are doing with a guy after 4 games of film. The reason a guy is a backup and not a starter is because he can't sustain it for more than that. So my take is a guy who has been around for at least a few years who can help the starter get ready each week who is good enough to go 2-2 if he had to play 4 straight games.
  17. That's $1.4M per TD. So that means that if that's the going rate for a Teddy TD, we would have had to give him $56M this year for a 40 TD season. We just didn't pay him enough was all.
  18. "The Bridge is over, the Bridge is over!"
  19. If you watch Packers games you see this concept alot. They just give the Pack a little nudge here and there to get them over the hump, then the Packers run with it from there.
  20. So now rumors are going around that this guy put a $50k prop bet on whether there would be a streaker at the Super Bowl.
  21. I will never forget our accounting girl and one of the management girls getting into a back and forth argument in the office. Mind you, neither one decided to get up from their offices, so they were just arguing and bickering by yelling at eachother loudly and it carried down the hall for everyone to hear. The argument ended when one girl yelled out to the other "shut up you dirty cum dumpster!"
  22. Christian knows he's talking Andrew Luck out of retirement!
