  1. Go ahead and make a push now. Giving up multiple 1st round picks in a trade for a player isn't a good move...but short of that is fair game. Some teams complain that their window was too short. They complain it was "only" X number of years. They don't realize how many other teams never see a "window." They never get one or they only blindly take shots at one. The window is open for us. Whether its a slight breeze or something more is up to you. But its open. This is not the time for a 5 year plan.
  2. Until I picked their brains and watched them take reps at the position...I have no idea. Everything about my "traits" screamed corner when I played...but my instincts and natural tendencies were pure safety. But I love the concept. Glover Quin was a heck of a safety in his time. And he was a converted corner. He had the right mindset.
  3. Teams don't tend to deal quality OL, and quality OL don't tend to migrate to other teams for a "fair price." Offensive lineman are one of those positions that you really need to draft to ensure you get your guy. If an offensive lineman "hits" and becomes a good player for another team...you probably won't see him again. This is a big contrast to a position like CB, where even the best players at the position in their prime tend to be available via trade or free agency.
  4. We have a gazillion dollars. We were pushing $20M worth of cap space this year and we've got over $45M in dead cap this year that's coming off the books next year. And that's before the bump in the salary cap. https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/carolina-panthers/
  5. Wait. So your excuse was you were looking up pictures of DJ's muscles at 9am instead of 1am? How is that any better? LOL If there is actually a difference...it wouldn't be unusual. The kids coming out of college drink and have sketchy diets. Guys in the NFL learn how to eat better and take care of their bodies better. It reduces body fat and fluid retention, hence a more "toned" look. You could see Matt Stafford's transformation from when he came into the league to when his diet changed under Jim Caldwell (JC brought a new nutritionist on board the team). Then you can see another change with him going to the Rams.
  6. Don't threaten me with a good time!
  7. They aren't used to facing an offensive line that has more tackles than they do
  8. Those 3rd down plays must be what Brady has the guys practicing with their free time from not practicing redzone plays.
  9. Jerome Boger is the leagues attack dog. When they have a preferred result, he tends to get the call.
  10. Dallas is doing a ton of holding but when I look around the league at the other games the same thing is happening...including defense. Its almost like the point of emphasis for week 4 was to "let them play."
  11. It was one of the strangest posts I've seen in a while.
  12. Did anyone ask what color "top" he prefers to wear?
  13. I wanted Derrick Brown because a guy like him changes everything. There is a domino effect with a guy like that.
  14. I partied in Moyock with a cover band in their 60s. Okay that's all I got.
  15. Yes, we've heard. But your posts seem to lack...football.
  16. Are they going to do a cover of "Photograph?"
  17. I could do without Buck. There is something punchable about him. I like Aikman. But sometimes it becomes clear he played in a simpler time. I think the difference between Aikman and the Manning's jumps out already. If the QB seems to look at 3 different receivers on a play, Aikman gives the detailed replay analysis that "he found his 3rd read! Way to go thru your progressions!" The Manning's look at the play design and defense and know where the ball is designed to go...and can give you the insight that the QB was only looking off defenders with the first 2 so he would have enough room to fit the ball in to his primary target...that he knew would come open because of the initial read. Aikman actually did this during our game. And when you went back and watched the film, the QBs feet were aimed right at the primary and the "looking" at other receivers was just to freeze defenders.
  18. You heard it here folks. The Jags vs Bengals game is THE best match-up of the week.
  19. You are everything I've encountered with Cowboys fans. It doesn't change. Douchebag after douchebag. I'm just glad you showed up right after someone tried to challenge me on the assertion that Cowboys fans are the worst fans in the NFL. You were sent from heaven to help prove my point.
  20. Yes - there are millions of people who don't know poo about football or Dallas or even Texas that like to call themselves Cowboys fans. We get that. We are speaking to one right now.
