I am a different person at work than I am at home. So working from home full time would be weird at first. I like the disconnect. I also don't have personal and family photos in my office. Again, because I like the disconnect. But as you said, I do not have a legit home office to work from. I think if I could walk into a dedicated work space I could probably disconnect as I crossed over the threshold. We have a remote co-worker who is out in California. She has a she-shed style home office that was built on to the back of her house. I am definitely looking forward to the boomers retiring in mass, so the new generation can rethink some of the things we are doing that's dumb. We had one boomer senior manager who just retired who would come into the office each day at 5:15am. Why? Just because that's what he's always done. Since he was about to retire, they drastically decreased his workload. So he was coming in super early to do absolutely nothing. Until the recent surge of the last few weeks, our President was forcing us to do in person company meetings. Just because boomers like getting that in person time. But we are sitting there in masks. So you can't really see people's faces, and its hard to hear them. And when we were doing zoom calls, it became painfully clear that zoom meetings were significantly more productive because you aren't talking about things theoretically...people can pull up what you are talking about on the computer instantly and you can sort thru it in real time. Not "take a look into that after the meeting and we will circle back later in the week."

Streaming sports on Electronic devices vs a TV subscription
Wes21 replied to Stuart Smith's topic in Huddle Lounge
I cut the cord back in September/October and it was terrifying. I've always had cable. It doesn't seem so bad now, and I laugh at how skeptical I was about it. I mean, if it didn't work out I could just order cable again. But I wouldn't call it TV vs tablet. Whatever you are streaming on your tablet can be streamed to your TV. Its important to be honest with yourself about what you actually watch. That will help you choose the right streaming service for you or piece together the right services for your needs. ESPN for instance seemed like a "must have" for me, but when I really thought about it...I mainly just use it as background noise when I don't feel like finding something to watch. And if a football game is on, I get to stream it for free thru my Verizon account. I am not saying that is the case for you...but you may find a few other channels are like that for you. -
Going back to the original question about cost...I paid $1,200 for my dog back in 2013. After that experience I think I'd be willing to go up to $1,600 for a special situation (whatever that might be at the time). I only did that because my chick at the time was highly allergic to dogs, but for whatever reason that particular animal worked for her. These days I'd probably pick up one of the many dogs available by other means who are waiting for a good home (like the rescues discussed here).

I've been sitting on a goldmine the entire time and never even knew it! I will give her a call. She can subcontract out the farts to me, then rebrand it. No different than alot of other stuff we buy.

I didn't realize my deuces were a part of human evolution. But there it is.

RIP Bob. Its great how perfectly he was cast into his role on Full House, when compared to the direction they originally went. But what makes it weird is how different that character was from who Bob was.

How about one of those pop up dance thingies instead?

I sense alot of butthurt in this thread.

Your post took a weird turn with the Ford's. The Ford's are bad owners...for results on the football field. For much of everything else they are actually pretty good owner's. I would swap out the Lions for the Bengals. That guy is a trip if you start digging deep into the details. Before Marvin Lewis got to the Bengals, players were not allowed to take Gatorade home. That's a small example of how cheap and far behind they were...and they haven't caught all the way up yet.

You say "was allowed to do." But once you know the story of Jack Easterby, it puts an entirely different spin on what we thought we were seeing at the time.

Just to be clear, AB has had issues for a long time. There were around 5 schools along the way before he finally ended up at Central Michigan. And in reality he never should have been at CMU. He was a dang good player in the Miami area and under normal circumstances would have ended up at Florida State, or Miami, or Florida. But he ended up at Central Michigan by way of some schools even smaller than that. Think about it. Sometimes part of your blessing is your curse. As one Steelers teammate said of AB "he shows up to every practice like its Super Bowl Sunday." That's a cute statement until you realize there is nothing normal about that when its 100% true and not just hyperbole.

I remember I said that about Jimmy Clausen, who was dang near 20 playing high school football. LOL

Mike Florio: Could Jim Harbaugh be an option
Wes21 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Mike Singletary "built" the 49ers team, Harbaugh came in and got production out of the QB position in a way that Singletary couldn't. Also, its interesting how many 49ers walked away from football and how the entire empire collapsed when the NFL approved HGH testing. -
Wonder what Gilmore tells the younger players on the team....

I realize you are venting but it takes a special sauce to go 0-16 (now 0-17). You not only have to be trying to deplete your roster so far down that you might not win a single game...the refs have to be against you. -
Good laugh for New Years. Thank you. I do think there is merit in multiple playcallers, though. The Patriots are said to have multiple gameplans built into the same game. But they have the same playcallers for the switch. Imagine switching the gameplan, but then having a playcaller who is optimized for the particular strategy that is being ran in that situation...that drive...that quarter or that half. This has been brought to you by Sierra Nevada in a joint campaign with Wild Turkey.

"Beyond the nightly poundings"...his cellmate seemed like a decent guy.

I'm a Carson Strong believer. But I feel good about the potential of Corral. Ithink Willis is a bust unless he goes to a great situation that allows him to grow and become more consistent. Howell reminds me of Baker Mayfield, with better wheels like Mitch Seabiscuit. I have no feelings about Ridder either way.

The 3rd and 4th OT taken is associated with guys like Anthony Davis, Joe Staley, Anthony Castonzo, Mitchell Schwartz, Lane Johnson, Taylor Lewan, Tristan Wirfs, Taylor Decker...and decide between Larimy Tunsil or Jack Conklin because of the gas mask thing. Seems like there is still talent in the 3rd to 4th ranked spot.

Our staff literally said that offensive lineman are the hardest position group to grab outside of the draft. And yet they still relied on finding them outside of the draft.
