Its an even dumber name when you consider that buffalo are not native to North America. What Americans call a buffalo is actually a bison.

How does someone say they are out of touch without saying they are out of touch.

Matt Rhule said that the circumference of his fingers are below his standard, therefore he could only play special teams in his scheme.
-
That's how they do it in baseball. The winner of the all-star game dictates home vs away in the world series.

It felt like it was going to be a bit dysfunctional as soon as I heard it was going to be a "group effort" in making decisions. That seems more like a "business guy" mindset that doesn't quite understand how things work in the NFL, or has a limited vision of it. It definitely can work. But it takes a special culture that's built over time or a special group of guys who happen to be on a similar wave length and have a certain level of respect for eachother already. Its always interesting to get coaches involved in the personnel side, because their interactions with players are completely different than other members of the personnel staff. In Detroit Matt Patricia had too much player say, and he shipped out perfectly good players because they challenged him as a coach. He took it personally and off they went. With a different model, the GM would have told him to get over himself. But on the flipside you also have the Eagles situation under Howie Roseman (recent decision making). He wants to make himself look as good as possible when it comes to landing drafted players that play, that he's force feeding the coach drafted players when the coach would rather have a player not drafted by the Eagles. It seems like Howie not only directed Doug Pederson to play certain guys, he shipped out a couple of non-drafted guys just to make sure Doug had to play the drafted ones. That's not good either.

That was an interesting question, so I googled it. It turns out SoFi has more than 3 locker rooms. "Behind the scenes, SoFi Stadium boasts of separate Rams and Chargers home locker-rooms, two visiting NFL locker-rooms that can transform into four smaller locker-rooms for events like the Final Four (northside of stadium) and performer dressing areas on the venue’s southwest end." https://ifollosports.com/nfl/behind-scenes-tour-spectacular-sofi-stadium-los-angeles

The Bucs were the home team. That's why the Rams are the away team. It flips back and forth between NFC and AFC as to who is the home team.

So either someone is an idiot, or they ran into major licensing issues with the other names. I can't imagine it any other way.

Here is a pic from a random photo I found after a quick google search. Notice it literally says Giants Stadium and the entry gates are blue and red. This is the type of thing that Pat Kirwan described as being all over the stadium. There were many "blue and red" elements and Giants related items as you walked thru the stadium.
-
Since you are curious about the details, I will throw in something that Pat Kirwan has said. He said one of the things that he hated about working for the Jets was that it was the Giants stadium and the Jets were just tenants. He said you could walk thru the facility and it became obvious who's stadium it really was, even when they tried to dress it up in Jets gear during Jets home games. I've never been to that old stadium so I have no idea how true it was. But he said it made it harder for them to recruit free agents, etc. I believe the Jets corrected that mistake when they built the new stadium, and have an actual joint ownership stake now. He was very vocal when the Chargers were moving, and said he would recommend they get their own stadium or find a way to become equal partners. He said it would be a mistake to become tenants in another teams stadium like the Jets were. And that's exactly what the Chargers ended up doing...becoming tenants in Rams stadium.

Tepper: "So what you do is you take the gameplan from the coordinators and bring it down to the players?" Rhule: "Well, no, my secretary does...or the fax." Tepper: "So you must physically get the gameplan from the coordinators." Rhule: "Well...no. Yeah, I mean, sometimes."

Its kind of a weird thing to think about, but the Rams will be the away team for the Super Bowl. Each conference takes turns being the home team, and the NFC was the home team last year. But I guess if any team is prepared to be the away team in their own stadium, its the Rams who share a stadium with another team and regularly have half the stadium filled with opposing teams fans. So the Bengals will get their choice of uniforms, and the Rams will call the coin toss. I would assume the Bengals get the home locker room as well. Normally I wouldn't even think about that, but Jon Gruden made a comment that SoFi stadium made the visitor's locker room awkward...“The locker room here is the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen," Gruden said. "I mean you can’t see anybody. It’s like a maze. Whoever contorted this visiting locker room, I’d like to meet this guy, see what his idea was." https://sports.yahoo.com/jon-gruden-blasts-maze-of-a-locker-room-weather-delay-at-roofed-so-fi-stadium-195255272.html

Matt Rhule as captain of the Titanic: "Settle down people, everything that is happening right now is all part of the plan. Everything is exactly how we intended for it to go. Trust the professionals."

This game is boring.

The Steelers were successful before Colbert, during Colbert and after Colbert. /end

Congrats on earning your sign.

Incorrect. Take your crazy pills if you think that is true.

Kevin Colbert was a piece of a puzzle that worked in Pittsburgh. The idea that he could come to a different organization that is in a completely different place than the Steelers is fool's gold. Does anyone here think that Colbert could take the Detroit Lions to the Super Bowl? Because that's where he came from. There are 2 different things your answer can reveal. The sane answer is NO. If you say yes, check yourself into the looney bin. And if you answer is NO, then why would he be the answer here?

Here's the deal. Jameis Winston belongs in the NFL in some capacity. However, he's also a benchmark. If Jameis Winston is an upgrade to your starting QB position...its the surest sign you need to seriously address your starting QB position. And Jameis isn't the answer for that.

Small-handed QB argument sounds foolish on its face
Wes21 replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm going to say that the NFL ball is still bigger than the college ball, because that is one of the adjustments Ja'Marr Chase said he had to make to an NFL ball. And that obviously just happened this season. Also, in college teams have the ability to "personalize" the balls they use on gameday, as long as some basic criteria are met. They can even play with the material of the laces to give the QB more grip. In the NFL there is only one football and you don't get to custom order a ball for your tiny hands QB. LOL To me handsize matters but its another thing that gets overblown during underwear olympics time. I hear old time coaches and scouts say that want guys with 9.5 to 10 inch hands. I think time has proven that you can move the marker down to 9 inches safely as long as the game film checks out and you don't see any perceived issues handling the football. Not many guys who are tall enough to play QB have hands smaller than that, so there is a limited data set. The shorter guys seem to have larger than normal hands for their height. I'm not sure if that's coincidence or if its one of the things that allowed them to keep playing QB while other "shorter" guys didn't make it.
