This is the first year of my life that i've ever watched more college ball than NFL ball. It's truly upsetting that we've gotten here. Might have to start getting more into hockey for the Canes, they seem fun.

While I'd never switch teams, I don't think I can continue to support or watch this team as long as Fatt is here. He has the audacity to try and scapegoat the only icon this team has ever had not named Mills to save his own ass and hide his incompetence. fug him. I was neutral on him on a personal level but this game completely changed that. Fire his ass tomorrow and let's get a jump on finding a competent replacement.

Can I be head coach? My qualifications include leading my NCAA 14 Rutgers Dynasty to an undefeated National Championship.
-
I've just muted the game audio and now have this playing on loop in the background, it's a great way to enhance the experience!

this is legit a fuging circus LMFAO

I honestly can't even watch this team seriously anymore, this is hilarious. Our games play out like an IRL Adam Sandler movie. I mean look at that PJ int, it looks like a scene straight out of The Longest Yard.

lol fuging package related yeah matty is a dead man walking, good riddance.

Yep, this should hopefully be the nail in Rhule's coffin. Getting run off the field by a bottom 5 team and benching your qb for no apparent reason (panic move?). The personnel decisions are just baffling. The main issue is; who would actually take over? The staff is filled top to bottom with nepotism hires. Who knows, just get him out of here.

what on gods green earth kind of punt was that
-
Couple reasons. 1- People are fed up after we wasted the talent of the previous core. 2- Unlike Rivera, we are not losing close games. We are getting hilariously outcoached and beaten by inferior teams. 3- Pourous personnel decisions that give even Ron a ron for his money, both in the lineup and at the QB and on the OL. 4- Ron usually finished strong, recency bias and all that. I'd also say it's harder to win later in the year, since this is when there's more film on teams and adjustments have been made. Hence why we are 5-31 after decently fast starts the past few seasons. I understand why people are frustrated, but it gets grating very quickly.

This is the guy I want. He has been an AHC in KC for a few years now, could TRY (i know it's unlikely) poaching away Bienemy to be our OC for a season or so by giving him a chance to audition for a HC spot (assuming he gets snubbed again) and call plays along with AHC which he does not have in KC. If he doesn't wanna come then I'm sure having been around so long he has connections being an experienced coach. Our special teams would near immediately become one of the top units in the league based on his past and he could let his coords do the work on the offensive and defensive side of the ball if he hires the right guys. Him followed by Eberflus are the two candidates that intrigue me the most.

He's pretty athletic for a punter too. Araiza, whose four tackles this season leads Aztecs special teams, becomes amped at the opportunity to shake stereotypes. “I saw everyone’s reaction (to the Utah tackle) on film,” Araiza said. “In the moment I couldn’t see it, but our sideline erupted. That was awesome. I saw the returner was tripped up a bit and I had a full-speed shot, so I took it.” Part of the reason Araiza provides a legitimate extra defender on returns is because of his athletic ability. Araiza set freshman and sophomore track records in hurdles at Rancho Bernardo. He also played as a striker in soccer (of course), before focusing on football. College Football News, for context, deemed Araiza the Aztecs’ fifth-best offensive player. He’s already been adopted by another unit. “We claim him on the defensive side,” McDonald said. “… Matt’s going to punt it like 60 yards, then he’s going to go down and tackle them. Him flying down, making tackles adds energy to the whole team. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/sports-columnists/story/2021-10-12/matt-araiza-san-diego-state-aztecs-kicker-punter-brady-hoke The whole 1 top 100 pick thing really stings in general for this draft. I think picking him around in the 4th or 5th could be justified if we had any picks but we don't. Our offense doesn't look particularly potent either, so having a punter like that could help us quite a bit more than other teams for better or worse. It's a hard pick to make when you have no 2nd or 3rd and need 4/5 spots on the o-line. Hope we consider trading down or find some picks somewhere.

Could just be nothing and it's being read into too much but it didn't strike me in a positive way, lol. -

That's definitely possible. I was speaking from more of an ideal perspective, but that tweet Gilmore's wife put out of a few days ago about the CMC injury didn't seem encouraging regarding his retention. I just don't know if we can keep both Reddick and Gilmore, if we do it will have to be done in conjunction with other cap saving moves because they will both want 15m if not more and that's before resigning anyone else, free agency and the draft. -

We're gonna have to let go of Reddick. It was a nice free agency find but him and Burns beside eachother simply wont work against teams that can run the ball and we need to fill that spot with a more traditional run stopper. Maybe YGM can step up? The defense isn't going to work how we want it to with him on the field, and that's ignoring that we only have 30 million dollars to work with and he'll likely command at least half of that. Try like hell to retain Gilmore tho. Also I don't know what y'all see in Suleiman considering the fact that our cap management has been bad since he got here and it now spans two GMs. I doubt he does much more than give out contracts, but the contracts he's given out for the most part have been poor. -
What exactly did Matt Rhule excel at in college?
beo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean, he beat a #21 ranked ECU by a whopping 10 points after they turned the ball over 5 times and ECU outgained them 428 total yards to 135 total yards. That's one of his two ranked wins. -

randomly subbing brady in at guard instead of tackle out of the blue after starting dennis daley over him for some reason, cmc nowhere to be found on a drive where we desperately need points, TMJ a healthy scratch, derrick brown barely in the game. did i miss any? this staff's personnel decisions are maddening. the third quarter awaits eagerly -
Or as someone else pointed out, a read option which had worked all game and gives both of our guys a shot to make a play. Maybe a triple option even if that's in the playbook. Give CMC a route the defense won't be all over, maybe like a drag or a texas route then hurry to the line and spike it. Or just run cam. The affermentioned RPO, of course. Just ANYTHING else. If Washington's defense makes a good play then poo happens but he didn't even try, he lost us the game. I can't believe an NFL offensive coordinator would do that. That was Ask Madden level bad.

That playcall at the end by Joe Brady was a fireable offense. You have not one but two of the better short yardage options in the game for a cruicial make or break 4th down and you line CMC up at wr, have him run a fade and essentially serve as a decoy to an underneath out route that we had ran multiple times that drive (and given the situation the defense will be all over those anyways) when you had 58 other minutes of the game to do that in, effectively taking the play out of both of those short yardage weapons in CMC and Cam's hands so that he has to force in a tight window pass on 4th and 2 or take a sack. Either run it with Cam or get the ball into CMC's hands in some, ANY way. That was just awful especially since we failed another 4th down running another chicken poo out route that looked nearly identical. Absolutely inexcusable. Brady called a good first half but that entire sequence at the end was putrid. I would not be mad if he were given his walking papers after that. We NEEDED this game for our playoff hopes.
