Possible London game next year at Titans
Brooklyn 3.0 replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's incorrect. The Bills are one of the five teams going. None of the five have had their foe selected yet. -

Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
Brooklyn 3.0 replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Give me a break. As nice as that motto is, it has done nothing for the franchise. Because that's all it is, a motto. -
I don't think there is any saving it. We've entered hell. Look, for decades boosters and the big wigs cheated to win. So rules were made. Then when the sport took off, and "the man" started to make bank ... fans started to feel sorry for the "kids". So NIL was created. Now it's just as bad as it was before those old rules. And it's in more ways than just the boosters and the big wigs channeling money into a NIL. We also have (insert that hot gymnast) making like 11 million dollars JUST because she's sexy. How does that make her teammates feel? How does that make ... um ... not hot female athletes feel? Holy crap, if a portion of female sports and the NIL turns into OnlyFans then lol. The NIL is a mess and it will only get more obscene. There should have just be a salary/rate type payment players get based on the income their sport brings in. I think that was the original idea? Back then I said that would open a can of worms; where a golfer, for example, would complain that a football player gets more money. But I'd much rather them have that headache than the outrageous mess they're in now. We don't even know the half of it since it's so new. We're about to see dozens and dozens of multi millionaire children paid to play college sports. It's insane, and we started it, worrying about how the NCAA and other organizations were making money off of them. Welp ... here we are and it's even worse.

People STILL can't spell Wilks right.
-
You act like Rhule put this team in the most impossible situation in the history of pro sports. We had the same players. Same coaches. Whatever Wilks changed up worked to show he was better than Rhule, but that's it. Going 6-6 is still average. It makes me think that you think if he was here from day one we'd have gone like 12-5 or something crazy. Wilks is average. Face it. He's better than Rhule, if that's what you want to hear ... but the Panthers have always been average sans a year or three ... and we need to strive for more than just average.

What you wrote doesn't matter because you don't get it. The NFCS sucked. Whomever won the division gets to go to the Playoffs ... and none deserved it. So who gives a poo that Wilks could have snuck us in. And the three names I mentioned are just as average as Wilks, so they are all in the same boat. But keep talking Wilks up like he did some sort of miracle.

You live in Crown Heights? I'm in Bed Stuy.

Anyone who uses a gambling site as a legit source for what might happen ... lol.

They all had a shot at getting in. All of them. But there is no reason to debate you. You see things one way, I see things another.
-
Dude, ALL the NFCS teams were in Playoff contention. No one had a winning record. Stop. Had he gone 10-2 ... THAT is a resurrection.

I'd want Vrabel easily.

Since the advent of Twitter, journalism has died ... or at the very least allowed journalism to be seen as a fraud instantaneously. Every one of these Twitter guys has a "source" that they never reveal, every one wants to break some big news, every one wants Follows and clicks, every one more than likely does ZERO fact checking, etc. The worst part is, young folk today think Twitter is reliable! The way misinformation spreads is insane. Again, I can admit that newspapers or nightly news back in the day could have just as easily reported rumor or "fake news". But with Twitter ... anyone can do it now, not someone who has a degree in the business, etc. Our very on Verge has "sources". But it's not like she has the phone number of somebody working for the NFL who is giving her, and her alone, inside info. Twitter is an abomination ... but we like it because it's 24/7.
-
Going 6-6 isn't a resurrection. It's keeping a damn from bursting.
-
You know who else had their team in Playoffs talk? Arthur Smith, Dennis Allen, and Todd Bowles.
-
Let's look at it this way ... 1. Former player in college and the AFL 2. HC of Savannah State (5-6) 3. Left coaching college to join the Bears staff (fired) 4. Joined Rivera in SD (they were in Chi together) as DB coach 5. Joined Rivera in Carolina 6. HAD CAM NEWTON 7. Left Carolina to be the head coach of Arizona (fired) 8. Joined the Browns staff 9. Left the NFL to coach at Missouri 10. Left college again to come back and coach with Rhule (went 6-6 as IHC)

My Bad Idea - Dorsey + Richardson + Wilks

Ok, fair. But Wilks failed in Arizona. Failed. He went .500 here. That's average. Most players like their coach and back them ... so the guys saying they like Wilks means very little. So what is it about Wilks that makes you go ... "oh hell yeah, this guy can build a dynasty"?

The old NFL is almost dead. You need to move on from ground and pound, run run run football. It's over. And the Bills are not doing Carolina ball. If anyone is, it's Tennessee. Buffalo is a passing team. Allen and Diggs are scary good.
