The Hornets are a city team. The Hurricanes are supposed to be a dual state team but in reality are only really liked in the Triangle.

Because some people here have no lives, or have terrible lives, and they made themselves feel better by living through the Panthers. Cam gave them a chance to wear a jersey with egotistical pride, thump their chest, brag, and get the attention they so desparately crave. He was their whole world. That's why he's still their avatar. They can't let go of the ONE thing that made their lives meaningful. It's why I constantly pick on them. They need to MOVE ON and learn how to live. I'm actually trying to help them in an odd way.

HBO Max already shows DC stuff: Titans, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing (soon), Stargirl (among other CW shows). I highly recommend Doom Patrol and Titans to any comic fan. Both getting new seasons on HBO Max.

I mean, there IS a baseball team in Durham ... called the Bulls. Surely you knew that. MLB would be pretty rude to just axe the AAA team like that. I guess they could "promote" them to the majors? Send the minor league players to other teams, keep pieces of the current stadium in the new one, etc. But yeah, the Durham Bulls are already a thing.

Taking in a game is one of the most relaxing, fun, family friendly, entertaining things you can do. Been to both stadiums here numerous times and I'd love to see my old city get one too.

Would be the best player the Panthers have ever had as soon as he put the helmet on, lol. But yeah, ain't happening. I saw that he's going to be on an episode of The Conners soon. I think his fiancee and Jeopardy has given him the acting bug and he's done in the NFL before we know it.

I think you mean it's a small and harmless thanks for his fans. Cam couldn't care less if his jersey gets retired at BoA. For the record I think only TD and Smitty deserve retired jerseys.

This. Wait until a career is done and HoF stuff comes around before you decide to retire a number. It won't tarnish Cam's legacy by letting someone else wear #1 for now. If THAT guy balls out? You retire the number for both men (it's been done). I'm glad Cam made some of your personal lives better, but he's not some untouchable god. He's just a dude who gave the organization some great years. The only ones that will get hurt/angry by someone else wearing #1 (not "Cam's number") are the guys who still have Cam avatars.

You can't do anything for future scenarios. You don't work for the team. Talking about what could have been is a waste of time, as you can't change the past. Let it go and move on with life.
