  1. Well you're not trolling in this thread so there's no need.
  2. If they both get there, sure. Hell, Arizona could take Alabama out. But yes, if it's Purdue/Bama I'll bet with ya.
  3. Purdue is going to beat them in the Final Four.
  4. Because we've lost a star WR and next year's first. We have to recoup that PLUS get something great in the deal to trade the pick. You don't trade to the top spot, only to get less in return to trade down.
  5. What skills does he have? That he's fast for a QB? Can jump high for a QB? Jump far for a QB? That's it. That's why people drool over him. He has nothing else special that other QBs don't. I find it very odd that people think this kid will be able to out run, out jump, and out leap bonafide elite NFL defenses and treat them like play things. Cam could barely do it, Hurts can do it at times, Lamar can do it at times ... but all three of those men are lightyears better than AR is. And all three could do things in college that AR can't. Hoping ... yes hoping our staff can mold him into them is the ultimate gamble. And the OSU WR thing ... lol. Stroud will be throwing to WRs in the NFL that were good in college. No need to worry about that. This. No, no you can't. Talented at a handful of combine drills? Ok. Talented for a college QB? No.
  6. But it order for what you said to happen ... we have to get a WR as good as Moore and a 1st rd pick before we even begin to celebrate over the haul we'd get trading down. I said it in another thread, trading down makes zero sense. We'd need to get BACK a first AND get an elite WR as part of the deal ... which as some of you are thinking, would include "additional picks". No team is going to give us a WR, and more than one first, just to get in the top slot. One more time: In order for this dream scenario to work, we'd need to swap firsts with someone (but still be able to get a QB), get a first in 2024 (to cover the one we lost), a first in 2025 (to "gain" something), possibly more picks ... oh, and a stud WR ... JUST to make everything worth it. We're picking first.
  7. As mentioned, trading back makes no sense. Not only do you need to get a WR as good as DJ back, but you also have to replace the First you traded away ... before you even begin to look at what you "get" in the trade. No one is going to give us a star WR, and three Firsts (to which we "get" two Firsts in the deal). I'm rambling, but we have to recoup what we gave away before we even look at what we can "get" for trading down.
  8. If Levis ... I laugh and laugh at this stupid franchise but hope the kid is decent as some claim he already is. If Richardson ... I'm done. If a non-QB ... I laugh at this stupid franchise and wonder what they have up their sleeve.
  9. Didn't make it past the OP. Stop with the inferiority complex.
  10. Stroud and Young will both need a vet able to catch whatever they throw his way. Even if it's just seven yards. Thielen could really help both kids.
  11. We should look at DJ Chark, Jakobi Meyers, and Darius Slayton.
  12. I don't see Houston doing anything. I think they'll be fine with either Stroud or Young. The Colts would be the one to look at ... but all they'd need to do is trade with Arizona to get Levis. Now ... if Atlanta, Tampa, or Vegas wanted #1 that's a different story ... but one we wouldn't do. We're picking first.
  13. It would be funny if whoever we draft for a QB becomes an elite legend, and we can trace it all back to DJ and his helmet. It'd be a legendary Panthers story for decades! We could have a statue of it out front lol. Or, if we want to credit the ref, a statue of a yellow flag.
  14. Yep, we would've fallen ass backward into the Playoffs, lost the first game, Wilks would still be our coach, we'd be drafting worse than 9th, and our QBs would be Sam and Matt. THANK YOU, DJ! Or, the ref that threw the flag.
  15. This. CJ and Bryce had similar stats in college, both starting for stud teams. I see them as just about equal. BOTH men will have their game tweaked by their NFL coaches. The only real difference is CJ might hold up better physically through an entire season. Yes, that's the only difference IMHO. I've always wanted CJ over Bryce. The GA just shows us what he can do against a top tier defense. It shouldn't have changed anyone's mind. That is who he is.
  16. OP, just say you don't like Stroud and are salivating over Young and be done with this inane thread.
  17. Trade is a win/win for both teams. We get our hopefully franchise QB, they get a good WR.
  18. "LFG" is the new "It's in the hole!". STOP using it. That said, give me Stroud! He could be the real deal.
  19. Let the SMOKE begin! Let's drop hints about a QB ... knowing another team wants him bad. Then they'll trade with us to get him ... and we'll end up with the one we actually want.
  20. Hey, at least we won't have to be antsy and wait for our pick in the first round.
  21. Look, rookie QBs usually have a rough first year anyway ... we weren't going to go all the way with him and Moore. If the pick pans out ... we have his entire career to give him weapons at WR. People need to think about the future. If we get the franchise QB we're sitting better than a hell of a lot of teams. In the meantime ... FA WRs out there: Adam Thielen DJ Chark Odell Beckham Jakobi Meyers JuJu Smith-Schuster Mecole Hardman Darius Slayton I think it's all going to be just fine. And we ALL know which WR will be in the Draft next season! Maybe if we take our lumps we could have Stroud throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr.
