  1. Disagree 1000000000%. The "system" is everything an offense does. From QB to RB, from WRs to TEs, from FBs to the O-Line. You do not design their entire world around your QB. If he gets injured, if he jets for more money elsewhere ... you're doomed. You bring in the best QB available who can run what you the head coach, and the 10+ other coaches on offense, want your offense to be like.
  2. Cam homers are too much. What a disgrace of a thread.
  3. LIES. AR has the highest ceiling of any QB in NFL history ... and all NFL future. We KNOW this because ... well ... um ... wait, why do we know this? OH! We just do.
  4. What was produced as ... not a joke, turned into a joke on the Interwebz and a meme as well. But you know what? I sort of like it ...
  5. Can't stand WWE. Big AEW/ROH guy though. Won't be watching tonight but I follow the WWE storylines. Cody will definitely win, and the Usos will definitely lose. The rest of the card is beyond boring. Just a bunch of thrown together BS in the last month stuff.
  6. Pretty sure there's a lot more worse things going on in this world than what some of you are whining about in here.
  7. I'm going to start searching now for the perfect "I'M OUT!" gif for you guys if we foolishly select AR. I know you'll miss me lol, but I want to go out in style.
  8. No way we get anything better than a 4th for the kid. I say keep him.
  9. People keep saying this, but I've yet to see one person actually explain it. Perhaps you who do say it, are just echoing what Twitter says? Look, can he run fast? Yes. Can he jump high? Yes. Can he jump far? Yes. Can he throw far? Yes. Does that make him an elite QB? No. Does have accuracy issues? Yes. Can you blame that on ... things? People loooove to blame it on things. Can he be coached up? We don't know. So ... uh ... where is this ceiling everyone keeps drooling over? You're saying that IF he can throw it the way an elite NFL QB throws it and you add in his arm, legs, etc. well then that makes him a future GOAT. Is that it? Is it all that simple? If you're doing guesswork in relation to his "ceiling" ... well damn, Young could beef up! He could get JACKED like Hurts. Will that make his ceiling higher than AR's? Stroud could get a personality, be coached up to run more ... will that make his ceiling higher? AR shows that he is a machine playing with little boys in college. A TE playing QB, or an NBA SF playing QB. But nothing shows he'll turn into Brady, Brees, Manning, Mahomes, etc. when he throws into NFL coverage. This "has the highest ceiling" talk is all speculative. It's a wish, man. Stop dropping the mic like it's fact.
  10. Is anyone else getting tired with EXCUSES? Player wasn't great in college because the team around him was weak! Player was only great in college because the team around him was elite! Player played poorly in the NFL because of his O-Line! Player played great in the NFL due to the system! Player played poorly in the NFL because of his coaches! Player played great in the NFL because of the coaching staff! Player had NO receivers! Player had to put the team on his back! Player gets no calls from the refs and the NFL doesn't have his back! Player played great in college because they were the most elite 1AA team! Player played poorly in college because he had to play in the SEC on a weak SEC team! It's exhausting.
  11. I think the lowest I ever filled up my car was 84 cents a gallon. Wow.
  12. I'm 47, I've lived it all (except for sitting around the radio I guess). Life was definitely calmer without social media. Jesus ... I have 102 notifications waiting for me to read or reply to right now on here but I simply don't have the energy.
  13. Show us on the doll where Ben Affleck and Matt Damon touched you.
  14. Probably, but just in case Darnold goes elite on the 9ers ... you might want to look into some blood pressure medicine lol. Same for me if we draft AR.
  15. Whichever player has the biggest amount of OCD will looooove number 0. The geometry!
  16. My favorite life experience to date was a five 1/2 week road trip, taken alone in 2009. It went like this ... Charlotte to DC DC to NYC NYC to Niagara Falls Canada Canada to Chicago (stopover in Michigan) Chicago to Badlands National Park (stopover in Iowa) Badlands NP to Yellowstone NP Yellowstone to the Oregon coast (stopover in Idaho) Oregon coast to San Francisco SF to LA LA to Vegas Vegas to the Arizona/Utah border To Moab Utah and access to many NPs Utah to Great Sand Dunes in Colorado CO to White Sand Dunes in NM NM to Austin Austin to ATL for a Braves game ATL back to Charlotte
  17. If they can play the game, what goes on in their heads shouldn't matter. The problem is that you also want to draft someone who has basic brains. You know, to help with their finances or outside issues. You can say, oh the team will help them with that. But as we've seen in the past, once a player retires, that help is gone and they crash and burn. So I can see value in wanting someone who has smarts ouside Xs and Os. But this is a sport, and all that matters is if they can play. We just can't complain if the team isn't there for them after they walk away. We're not their parents.
