Cable isn't going anywhere. Streaming is actually more capitalistic. I do both. They got my money. That said, I just can't get into 4k. It looks so odd.

It's our own fault. Everyone thought the first streaming services were sooo cool, and the tech was sooo cool, and "I can watch wherever I want", etc. So they got rid of their cable and subscribed to the 1-2 services and saved some cash! Fast forward 12 years and we now have over 10 streaming services (all with shows you can only watch on that service) that are slowly raising prices every year. Some people are now paying more than they were before. It was never about some cool new tech and the future (from the company side) of viewing that will crush boomer cable. It was about money. It is about money. Now they have you trapped and you can't do anything about it.
