Interesting thing I just thought of though ... If we were to draft someone other than a QB with our first rounder, what position would people want? BPA is the easiest way to answer that, but some might say "we NEED a ... ", to which I say, isn't every pick in the draft just like picking a QB early then??? If we need LB help for example ... we could get that in a later round, etc. So it boils down to every pick is a gamble. So you may as well gamble! And what it all boils down to on the Huddle is very clear to me now: Guys who simply HAVE to see us in the Playoffs versus guys who are fine with not making it.

Yes, because the percentage that we draft a stud QB early is actually BETTER than the percentage we'd somehow upset multiple teams in the Playoffs and make it to the Super Bowl.

He's not going anywhere this season. 9ers were impressed with Purdy and signed Josh Johnson. Baker wouldn't be able to learn the plays in time. Purdy already knows them.

There are so many links. One site in particular has like 30 links to choose from. HD quality. With an ad blocker there are none you'll see. Some links require you to make a few clicks before the stream starts. Some have a chat window, some don't. It's how I've watched the Panthers all season and last.

I just don't see it. Cool ... he can throw it far. Cool ... he's got a big frame. Cool ... he can run if needed. But his college stats are pedestrian. Nothing at all about him screams like he's headed for elite level in the NFL right now. We can do better. We should do better. A guy like that, right now, will not turn this franchise around. He's a gamble. As are all the rest. But some of the others are a much safer gamble.

Dude, he was here for like 5 minutes. If Chicago's, Indy's, Baltimore's, and San Diego's coaching needed to be filled in a hypothetical universe, Carolina would be dead last.

Dude played for the Bears for seven seasons, the Colts for four seasons, the Ravens for one, the Chargers for two, and then dressed for the Panthers for six games. He has almost zero connection here.

But he wasn't a good player who had his options. As a good coach, he does, and will want to take over the team that has the best chances to win. But money talks.

DJ should go to like ... Jackson St, or Toledo, or Lamar, or Kent St, etc. He has no business running a "top flight" program.

I think Auburn will be who they usually are, no matter the coach. Sort of like the Panthers. They'll have this amazing year all the sudden, then fade away. They just can't compete with Alabama.

For the record, the Heels basketball team has been "my team" since I was 5. I'm 47. From age 1 to 6 we lived across the street from NCSU. To be different than my dad, who rooted for the Pack, I decided to root for the Heels lol.

MIGHT Maye be a star in the NFL? Sure. MIGHT he be a bust? Sure. Is it too soon to say? YES. But the Heels homers sure won't admit to it. Kind of like Grayson McCall homers.
