  1. One of the rules to the Star Wars drinking game is: Drink whenever someone says "I have a bad feeling about this." The OP made me think of this for no particular reason.
  2. Listen to the deafening silence of me not disagreeing with you.
  3. Aaron Donald and whoever plays next to him would like a word with you.
  4. No but I would like to talk with you about some of our fine Amway products....
  5. Yeah I read an in depth interview/bio piece about him after he won DPOY and it left me really impressed with him as a person. Very excited to have him as part of the team.
  6. My company sells a product I almost guarantee you'd recognize. I've mentioned my role in the company before in other posts so for reasons of privacy I won't get more specific than that, but it's something you'd put on your home.
  7. This literally made me burst out laughing. Thank you for that.
  8. And those fans are broke. My company has 50 branches across the country and the one that struggles by far the most despite having an excellent GM is the Jacksonville branch. The median household income there is one of the lowest in the country for any major media market and Jax has to compete for team loyalty with 2 other FL franchises, one of which is defending SB champs.
  9. This is because we no longer have a flashy star like Cam Newton that draws media attention and we are a smaller media market team. The only smaller market team that the NFL cares about is Green Bay, because they have a strong national following based in large part on having Rogers and then Favre before that. Think about this for a moment: Since 1992 the year before the NFL even awarded Carolina a franchise, the Green Bay Packers have for all intents and purposes had 2 quarterbacks, both HOF caliber. If Rogers plays one more year in GB next year at a high level, that is a single franchise with 30 uninterrupted years of top flight play at the game's most crucial position. Man, that must be nice. And yet....despite having that huge advantage and what is generally regarded as at worst competent coaching and FO management, the Packers have still only won 2 Super Bowls in all that time, one by each qb. Just shows how hard it is to win a Super Bowl in the NFL. Especially when you don't cheat. *cough* Patriots *cough*
  10. Because the refs only help so much. A meddling owner who treats his team like a glorified fantasy league team does a lot to undermine that team's success. As for making excuses, I made exactly one point about an officiating call. It was a call we could all see was quite clearly wrong, and it was obviously enormously impactful in a close game. As a fan of the team who consistently gets favorable treatment from the officials, you can of course be relied upon to turn a blind eye towards that bias and use rhetorical strategies to shift the focus. The point remains. When I say bandwagon fans with regards to the Cowboys, I mean that a large percentage of their playerbase cheer for the team because they are hyped nationally, not because they consistently produce winning football. Over the years that I've had discussions with fans of other teams, what I see is that fans of the Packers and Steelers consistently know their poo when it comes to the game, Eagles fans are consistently obnoxious win or lose, and Cowboy fans consistently know the least about the game. The Cowboys have fielded the best offensive line in football for several years now, featuring Tyron Smith and Zach Martin, two of the very best at their respective positions, yet Cowboys fans consistently speak only of how awesome Eliot is. Most cannot name even a single offensive lineman. When I talk to Packers fans and Steelers fans, they are intimately aware of the strengths and weaknesses of their team, Cowboys fans are oblivious not only to their own linemen, but to what a tool Jerry Jones is.
  11. No offense but your stretching that line of reasoning a bit. It might be a factor but the overall difference is not just qb play. If that premise were true, then great qb play would almost universally result in great running production. As we can clearly see from the history of the NFL overall, this isn't really the case. There is no clear casual relationship between the two.
  12. This was my thought. Being bad when given time to throw may just be a hangover from life with the Jets when he rarely had time to throw or open receivers to throw to.
  13. You won by 8 points and you know good and well that not reviewable fumble was a huge momentum shift in your team's favor that the refs just happened to get wrong. Been watching football my whole life and it's always been this way with Dallas. It's just a cold hard reality that there are certain teams the league favors for marketing reasons. You're arrogant because your team always gets the calls and most of the time your team still sucks. On top of that, on average Cowboy fans are the least knowledgeable of any fan base in the NFL. I honestly have nothing against most of your players. It's your garbage of a human being owner and your bangwagon no nothing poo for brains fanbase that I take issue with. Cowboys fans are always the first to run their mouths when the team wins and the first to make excuses when they suck, so get your sorry ass outta here with your pot calling the kettle black bullshit.
  14. So Dak Prescott not being a rookie is the reason Zeke ran for a ton against us?
  15. I can't imagine why anyone would ghost a person of such obvious self control and even temperament.
  16. If you watch the games, we are moving the ball because Sam consistently gets it out before the rush has a chance to get there. Who is our big deep threat? Robbie. Why are his targets way down this year? Because they have more and better options on short to intermediate throws and the coaching staff knows our OL can't block long enough to throw deep. We are that bad. It's just Darnold and the coaching staff have done a great job of compensating for it.
