  1. True Story: I sat behind half a dozen hispanic fans at the NFC championship game last time we went to the Super bowl, yeah that game where we just destroyed Arizona. Those guys all had the futbol capes on and went absolutely ape poo whenever the Panthers had a big play or scored a TD. It was hands down the best football experience of my life. I heart hispanic football fans cause damn those dudes know how to get into a game, and Spanish language broadcasts are so much fun to listen to for the same reason. You don't have to understand the words to feel the passion.
  2. I think it's just as likely that Tepper overpaid for his coach because with the salary cap it's one of the few places he can make his wealth matter. I predict as long as Tepper is our owner, whoever our head coach is may be overpaid relative to their prior track record or accomplishments. It's one of the only ways he can leverage his billions that potentially has an impact on on field results. Now whether he is any good at picking the right head coach is an unrelated matter, but he'll always have the ability to pay a premium to make sure he gets who he wants. You'd likely do the same in his shoes and it would be unrelated to your ability to pick the right coach.
  3. Am I not seeing a ponytail going down the left shoulder of the person wearing the jersey?
  4. I think Rhule had already started to lose the team but a lot of them were at least willing to see how things looked once CMC was back. This feels like a nail in the coffin. They got their guys back but it doesn't matter. Offense completely ineffective.
  5. He hasn't helped. And Darnold was his guy.
  6. I was indifferent to Romo as a player, but found the way he retired classy, and regard him as the best commentator out there by a pretty wide margin. He's the one that proves it can be done and done well, leaving all the chuckleheads no real excuse.
  7. Yeah, the players are starting to figure out that this Oline and our QB play don't give us a chance to win, so no point in putting it on the line. I figure Rhule started to lose the locker room a few weeks ago, but this should be the nail in the coffin now. We're not a competitive football team, and it is because of play at only a few key positions.
  8. Most of Fox's guys who we get stuck dealing with are little better. You do nothing for a living but talk about a game that happens once per week. You have all week to prepare. Mispronouncing the very LAST guy on the roster's name should be inexcusable. Does anyone really think these guys put the time in studying the rosters? I mean they can't even get basic information that is on my screen right like current down and distance. Practice your craft instead of doing more shots at a bar and telling stories about the good ole days. You know why I know it can be done well? Because a minority of guys do it perfectly competently. Who works at their craft and who doesn't is blatantly obvious in that game. But the incompetent guys tend to keep their jobs because they have the right hair or playing career pedigree. Whatever. IMO basketball commentators have a much more challenging job with the fluid ongoing on court action and most of them run laps around NFL commentators. It can be done, it just takes effort. Tired of NFL commentators phoning in bad work week after week without consequence.
  9. Ever since cap spaced can be rolled over, ALL wasted cap space matters, because it's always money that could have been better spent at some point in time.
  10. Yeah, really makes you wonder what these guys do all week to prepare for the game. Based on what I'm hearing, literally nothing is my guess.
  11. For you to call ANYONE else a crybaby after the way you poo posts because you got embarrassed two years ago in an argument is hilarious. You have the emotional maturity of a 4 year old. You are THE definition of a crybaby. No one gives a rip what you say. Now do your crybaby poo and go back to your hole.
  12. Bonus Thomas highlight!: Really enjoyed him not giving even the slightest fuging effort to do anything after the INT. No attempt at pursuit, just jogging half heartedly as Anderson tries to chase the dude down. I can't watch this poo anymore. I'm out.
  13. The fact he continues to play when we have Tremble on the roster makes me really question the coaching staff's competence. I'd challenge any of them to explain with a straight face on even a single snap why he is in the game and not Tremble.
  14. I mean props to the girl with the Biakabutuka jersey. That's super old school right there.
  15. Play by play guy just watched McCaffrey run for 5 yards, get tackled, then declares he was Ameer Abdullah. Can't even get the player right when he's a star and of a different race than his backup. This after listening to them get down and distance wrong multiple times in the first half. You get paid very well to talk about a game for a living. Literally anyone can do it. Why networks don't yank these guys and fire them when they repeatedly make mistakes is beyond me. You can't get names and basic facts right on national TV? We'll find someone who can. Such professional incompetence/laziness by the networks.
  16. Don't you love how when a player for a team the league favors does this poo, the announcing crew conveniently overlooks it and just spends all their air sucking the Patriots D's dick?
  17. Nope. I've seen nothing that leads me to believe we win this game. Zero. Defense is keeping us in it with turnovers, but the offense is not able to do anything meaningful. You can't win the in NFL that way.
  18. Didn't get the memo? The internet is for being angry/outraged. It's by no means limited to the Huddle, the Huddle simply isn't meaningfully different from the rest of it.
  19. I don't know that I agree we'd be 6-2 with Teddy, but I do agree we'd be 6-2 with average but efficient. I think Teddy has pretty much been exposed at this point as pretty limited, and I say that as someone who going into last year was willing to give him every chance. Overall we've had a fairly easy schedule with just a pair of teams an avg QB would struggle to best with this D. 6-2 sounds about right. I don't think we'd go very far in the playoffs, but we'd at least make them, and get playoff exposure for our young cornerstones. Now? Seems like a pipe dream.
  20. I'd like to repeat this part because I agree with it.
  21. Carter is perfectly fine as a starting LB for a team that desperately needs 3 OL starters, a starting QB, a backup QB, and has very few draft picks in the next draft. Remember to ask yourself when considering the priority that should be given to upgrades of players who are okay but nothing special: How important is the position they play to winning relative to our other needs?
