Is there nothing said for common sense, logic, reading between the lines anymore? Surely you don’t imply a courts decision as a bonafide compass for innocence or guilty? Innocent until proven guilty is n reference to a legal proceeding, not a condemnation, and certainty not a process meant to disregard common sense and logic.

To be objective, let’s list pros and cons: Cons: -Hurney, and furthermore trusting him with contracts and a coach search -Showing inexperience, ineptness and embarrassment by thing like trying to interview capable GMs while not possible as Hurney was GM -Refusal hire help, doing it, and failing, himself -Hiring Rhule, too much to point out here -Rhule’s contract -Rhule’s control from draft to cronyism, and in essence trying to defy history’s couple of blueprints to success; trying too hard to be a path maker -Not firing Rhule, and yet to be seen but sabotage the franchise future even more so, performance has gone downhill somehow coinciding with destroying a healthy cap -Allowing poo to be thrown at the wall instead of focusing on targeting capable people to conduct meaningful evaluations and analyzations -Goes into hiding, which would be fine if that was his personality, but judging by the past two years that’s not true - he’s hiding -Disregarding PSL owners with things like putting his revenue first (getting rid of end zone seats fuging their owners etc.) -Changing tradition (keep pounding), ignoring game day experience for the most part -Most likely fuging tax payers and doubling down fuging PSL owners with a new stadium (wait and see but likely) -Just needs one more losing season to solidify the worst era in Panther’s history, and as a historical below average team sitting on top of the bottom third of the NFL in many categories, that’s saying a lot -Claiming success takes 5 years or according to Rhule, 7 years, another embarrassing and distraction, clearly a statement from inexperience and possibly complacency, but probably true for his strategic method of throwing poo at a wall -Leaving the franchise to rot while focusing on side projects Pros: -Logo at midfield -High tech practice field, moving on from Wofford (thanks god) -Including SC somewhat more, though this was more a revenue play I won’t go into Cam. He’s clearly done and didn’t want to play without an extension. So that wasn’t the mistake. The mistake was not having a replacement or capability to find one, for several years and ongoing. Not looking good.

April 1 is when a lot of legal poo is going to play out, including the conclusion of whether criminal charges will be perused by a grand jury. In my opinion, that will be the main deciding factor for a lot of teams - nothing will happen before that date. It will determine if all this stays civil. Keep in mind the NFL will still do what they want suspension wise. In addition, as far as discovery, therapists speaking out in Watson’s defense has been ordered by a judge to disclose who paid for the legal fees, and other financial interests, of the (if not more, there are 18) therapist(s) because it was claimed they are doing this ‘voluntarily’. This has most likely has already been written up, sworn to and submitted to the judge but as an investigation that is ongoing, it’s probably information that we will find out out later once there is resolution, if it comes out. Think what you want of Buzbee, but he knows what he’s doing. And/or has a lot to work with, which is a given in my opinion, as logic, discovery we do have, and common sense says Watson is not completely innocent. As of now, the only thing happening is discovery is being reviewed by all parties but primarily, the DA office. Because April 1 determines how the lawyers are going to angle themselves in this case. On the one hand, criminal charges in itself supports and is huge evidence in any civil suit. On the other hand, dismissal of criminal charges is going to mean lawyers will be playing a strictly civil suit angle, which will certainly not be as much of a ‘slam dunk’ with criminal charges but still very possible. Something to be aware of, and where this gets messy for everyone, is the DA can press charges and go for criminal consequences even despite victims deciding they want to drop the charges (because they’ve been paid off). A lot of DAs will drop it at this point as a case is all but dead with victims who won’t cooperate, but it all depends on the evidence and some political elements such as making an example of a high profile athlete, metoo movement etc. With so many victims though, it’s unlikley ALL of them won’t cooperate. I’d bet against that - thought some victims will be more relevant than others. So in essence criminal charges give very solid basis, almost guaranteed successful civil suits. However the lack of criminal charges don’t affect whether there is basis for a civil suit or not. Any team claimed to be willing to trade before April 1 is just setting themself up in talks, getting their foot in the door. That notion is an empty conviction or media wanting clicks, or not knowing better. No one in the right mind would trade before then.

BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA
onmyown replied to Woot's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s virtually impossible to guess what will happen, the amount of and specific information needed is not something everyone is privy to - and aside from that very important factor, you simply can’t guess what a jury, judge, state prosecutor will do when presented with such information, course the latter would be easier to do with the former, but still not fail proof. That said, it would be incredibly stupid a try and obtain Watson before his legal situation plays out unless there is some sort of clause, but even a clause would be very complicated if not impossible due to retroactive and obviously unequal capital ie specific draft picks and capital that cannot simply be replaced. This probably isn’t as simple as a ‘conditional pick’. Another personal perspective point from someone with experience - settling is the only way at this point. He is not innocent. You simply do not have this kind of case with nothing. You do not have this kind of magnitude with nothing. It would not be allowed. Problem is, some victims are refusing to settle. This actually might be a rare instance where some care about the truth out there more than money. That tends to happen when you have a mass amount of victims vs. a couple. All it takes is one. Some are even willing to take the money and drop the charges with the exception that the truth/evidence is allowed to come out (refusing nondisclosures), but won’t do so otherwise. Watson has refused this. Funny, isn’t that? So in essence I can’t begin to fathom anyone, even amateurs, in the legal realm that would advise for this without it being resolved. Then you have what the NFL will do which is a whole other topic. It is a monumentally horrific notion and the fact some huddlers even consider this absolutely blows my mind. -
damn Ian found those nudes of Rhule and Tep together

Could we really pick something other than QB or o-line at 6?
onmyown replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s really simple, there isn’t too high for anyone really as long as you make the right pick and get a STUD. it’s all about getting it right was D brown a reach? No. In hindsight tho, I’d go back and trade picking him for any average player in the entire draft need is another question tho…no cbs and no WRs trading down is preferred -
just my observations read the post above yours for context this post is about stats, numbers, well at least one of them as well all know you cannot simply look at that out of context, let alone just one i feel like the huddle likes to look at a number for a certain player but for another with maybe poo number context makes all the difference i don’t get it from my observations having DJ at #1 paired with WRs with less talent around him would easily be a fail for any average opponent…just isn’t elite tier
-
Lol Moore avoids contact he would never be a HB Moore is alright, lot of garbage yards since being drafted, gives up a lot on routes and blocking…drops balls, part of a motivation problem. not a red zone threat at all. above average cb will shut him down so not quite elite tier hard to evaluate really but resigning is good with me so long as it’s not stupid numbers because Moore will never carry the offense, will need another above average quality WR to pair him with..or TE

onmyown replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
why the fuuuck…but Rhule already chose Darnold at the expense of the future what in the fug is going on why just why, why are we looking at giving more im seriously beginning to think there is some sort of conspiracy like Tep buying bulldozing down his ex’s house….did another ex or someone who fuged him over ever work for the panthers? is he a spy/mole for the Steelers or nfl? is he more of a soccer fan and that’s what this is all about? what vandetta fugedup is going on? this is fuging scorched earth in Panther land my god -
Tepper in the War room on draft day.
onmyown replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be honest, if Rhule gets into the playoffs either with Sam or a rookie QB, from the worst oline in the league one year removed, after a winning season I’d have absolutely no problem with him staying. I think people should remain objective - the hate for Rhule shouldn’t be so great that there is nothing that can happen next year that won’t warrant a return. Historically year 3 is very telling, tons of examples. It’s the pivotal momemnet for new HCs, most of the time they’re either fired or retained. 10 wins and a playoff spot? Would be foolish not to give that more time. But that is a high bar I just can’t bring myself to believe it’ll happen because there is zero progression unlike Rivera for example. -
Tepper in the War room on draft day.
onmyown replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
too much at stake, no one is going to report that he’ll be gone, he’s obviously given another chance to win 2-3 years of failure before termination is very commonplace 4 years? does anyone know a HC that was granted a 4th year after 3 losing seasons? that’s extremely rare…i mean that’s historically rare nah Tep isn’t that stupid, fans will already be scarce after next years’ imminent failure and to get yet another year he knows that means fans and revenue will be nonexistent to do that he’d have to defy history, odds, and be otherworldly, unheard of stupid…all at once - i don’t see that happening -
Tepper in the War room on draft day.
onmyown replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
yes he will 100% be there long as 2023 picks are safe i honestly don’t give 2 shits what happens, Rhule is gone next year anyways and there isn’t enough cap to make a monstrous mistake contract/cap wise with all that has spent on Darnold, I don’t see how it’s not obvious that’s the guy Rhule needs to be (and had chosen to be) the qb personally I feel much more was spent on him than TB, picks are not cap, they’re worth so much more. Rhule set himself up like this, let’s not let him set up the new regimen for failure so again, long as those picks and cap are safe for the next regimen who cares if future picks are allowed to be traded, I’m pretty much checked out for a while, just no point -
Anyone going to the Megadeth Concert in Greenville?
onmyown replied to Datawire's topic in Huddle Lounge
Just saw Tool…not sure what kind of fan you are but if you’re old school, don’t do it. They played awful songs. Look up their lineups for this year it’s awful. Hooker with a penis and intolerance were the only good ones for me in a two hour plus concert. Their 2020 tour was amazing though. It’s rare, but if you ever get a chance to see a perfect circle DO IT. Amazing. I’ve seen just about every band in metal/grunge from mid nineties to today multiple times. Can’t even list them all. APC was #1 followed by Staind right after their Dysfunction album dropped. They played a lot of their album no one knows about - Tormented which imo is their best, most raw album. I think at one point it got banned it was so brutal. And it’s not on Spotify. Lewis never talks about it or mentions it, it’s even too brutal for his own band. Pantera in Texas was insane. Chimaira is always good (they do a lot of shows in SC…or did). Gojira is good, Messhuggah is good. Old, you Manson was great. So was old young slipknot. Chevelle is great, It’s hard to name every band I’ve been to. Deftones is my favorite band and honesty after 10 shows of them, they’ve always sucked live. Godsmack always sucks live too, never liked their radio carp but if you dig deep on their early albums, it’s great stuff. But after all the moshing and life at rock and roll concerts, I can honestly one band’s show literally made me fear for my life. Bones were being broken right in front of me (also happened at Staind in their infancy). My best friend crawled out of a mosh with flood everywhere, face full of mud and blood, nose was shatter, he looked up at me and said bro we have to leave this poo is getting dangerous. It was the funniest poo I’ve ever seen. He is pretty hardcore. That band was Slayer. APC and Staind (when they were really really young) stick out to me the most. One was 4 or 5 years ago, the other like 24 years ago. Personally, I’m looking forward to the rage against machine reunion. -
this year’s OL free-agent class boasts some major talent

Breer: Panthers "between a rock and a hard place" at quarterback
onmyown replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Uhhhhhhh…I’m pretty sure it’s clear who Rhule has already chosen and solidified who his QB is this season…I’m not sure what the confusion is?? kick out TB after a contract and pay him the remainder…trade picks and sign 5th option…and then decline top prospects in a better draft… I mean good lord it sounds to me if THAT wasn’t the deciding factor, you’re simply just letting this idiot run poo into the ground We already saved his stupid man infant face by signing Cam to throw fadeaways into opposing Ds to make some fans happy (yay more wasted cap) but frankly it should be pretty plain, FORCE Rhule to produce results with Sam and when you fire him tell him his way didn’t work -
Was Rhule forced by Tepper to hire experienced coaches?
onmyown replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
How fuging stupid, is Tepper our HC now? Tepper is a moron if this is true. Having to make moves as an owner cause your idiot hire is inept is asinine. Tep is fuging clueless. Should’ve been a huge red flag when he kept Hurney around. By 2022 season start I have a feeling there will be more more faith. If 2023 isn’t a winning year, I will be checking out as a fan since 1998 and will undoubtably crown JR better than Tep *cringe*. -
As much as I hate the qb moves made so far, really the only opportunity to get one in the past several years was Herbert, and no one really knows how feasible that was. There was Lamar Jackson if the FO had the foresight to see Cam was done. But we did still have Cam. Corse this is based on Fields and Jones not working out which I find hard to fathom. And no I’m not considering FAs since they laugh when they hear the Panthers. Building a stout team first or until the opportunity arises isn’t exactly a bad plan, nor a disproven blue print. The problem is if you’re not finding a qb you can’t be doing dumb poo (trading for Darnold, amateur drafts moves) and you actually have to be building that stout team. The Panthers aren’t doing that. In fact I’d argue they’re regressing.

Name something specific that would get you pumped for this season
onmyown replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah. It’s cam. Throw him a poo ton of money to run around and throw fadeaways into the defense. It’s a pathetic way to this teams’ fans. You saw last year, fans ate it up and couldn’t even see what it was and got mad for anyone that did. It’s a loophole for his failure. As long as that is an option, no reason to care. It’s literally all he has to do. It’s genius I’ll give him that. But for long time Panther fans it’s just more of the clown show. -

that’s true as Rhule said, we do have a ton of invisible success that’s what gets me pumped -
Is the NFL priming us to have new minority owners?
onmyown replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
As I understood your post - it was the discrepancies as the topic topic, not the semantics of directly or indirectly selling it, though ‘doing his own investigation’ did relate to that fact as well as the discrepancies at the same time. Whether it was direct or indirect seems like an irrelevant side effect to the topic of why. But sure let’s say he was forced indirectly to sell it…cause that makes a huge difference. -
Is the NFL priming us to have new minority owners?
onmyown replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
Incorrect, he was not forced to sell, he decided to after he found out could not do ‘his own investigation’ (lol) into UKNOWN discrepancies because he paid several victims millions of dollars to not discuss ‘blue Jean Friday’ (rolls eyes). Point is due to legal non disclosures, no one has a clue what happened except the people that will face (by their own choice) severe legal ramifications for speaking out. Millions of dollars to several people and legal non disclosures, before during and after deciding to sell, suggest something very very bad was going on - and no we are not taking racial slurs, blue Jean Friday, or creepy letters (hopefully that’s obvious). -
How far would the Stafford led Panthers have gone?
onmyown replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
It would look similar to the Lions just as getting Watson would look similar to 2020. Wheb you don’t have a supporting cast or coaching, it just does not work. That is why the Bengals are so impressive and the underdog, exceptions verify the rule. But that’s in a general SB contender sense, the Panthers aren’t even close to underdog status.
