yes when cam has a full off-season, elite weapons, excellent oline, superior coaching, iron curtain defense, elite TEs, and refs who finally give him preferable calls, the planets align and he will finally redeem himself to elite status…we get it, we’ve heard it, it just isn’t reality in the NFL

Sam. Losing season either way, but higher pick. Not wasting more money either. Could’ve rolled 10m from last year instead of stupidly signing limp cam 3/4 into a pathetic season to appease fanboys and help Teps bottom line. How’s that helping now? Stop showing Tep that BS will work. Quit making dumbass decisions and take the inevitable rebuilding lumps they’ve failed to do for three years which ended in results anyone except the Panther FO experts could’ve predicted.

Probably a wash. Losing Reddick and not replacing him, even Gilmore, Horn is still really a rookie, CMC is a toss up, DTs are lackluster overall, no LT, one pick in top 3 rounds and above all Darnold is the QB and Rhule is still the HC. There is better supporting coaching staff no doubt but it’s been said multiple times even by them Rhule still calls the shots. I do not want him picking a QB at 6. But I am ok with a collective FO agreement with a QB at 6. But out FO does NOT run that way. In any case I think that staff cancels out some of the above-mentioned issues and ultimately more than 5-6 win is really wishful thinking. It just doesn’t make sense, who wouldn’t be surprised if we won 8 or more games next year with Darnold and Rhule leading the charge? Anyone?
-
I think a top 10 pick is more likely next year than otherwise as I also believe a new HC is more likely, finally I think a trade up next year from said position is also more likely to result in a better prospect, and would make more sense imo. But this is in terms of just taking a qb for the sake of taking one, if others in the FO besides Rhule can confirm that Venice the guy is there, I don’t have a problem taking him at 6. Building a solid team first allowing you the ability to trade and go after a guy is a fine blueprint. But then again we have morons gutting our draft and ability to do that.

i mean…losing Reddick and Brown catching butterflies, our best dlineman is ‘almost a sack’ Burns… it was a huge liability last season and is a big issue, it is going to be pretty bad imo even with the decent signing all those olineman at the top aren’t going to work out I am sure they have one they really like and if he is gone, no sense in taking someone you’re meh on if you like a dlineman and taking a qb you don’t see the future is not smart either i wouldn’t complain unless 3 years from now it was an obvious disaster and that’s one of these qbs works out

today is actually a reminder that euro’s make better chocolate that does not taste like puke

sure would be nice to let our GM have a say picking the new HC instead of a Baylor college coach picking our GM

Robby Anderson wants Panthers to work out Colin Kaepernick

as big of a mouth as robby has you’d think he was a relevant NFL WR if you didn’t know better -
What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
onmyown replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
Because he is focusing on the wrong side of football first, even admitted it. He is not focusing on results but marketing, the numbers, the business. He is trying to market a product and generate revenue through exposure, not results, while trying to build his own legacy. I am sure this has worked for simple products but the NFL is a specific expertise. It’s a commodity and one that should suffer without results. Tepper has PSL owners to help him out. Tep is not home grown/or a fan. Success is a cherry for revenue but it’s just a very small part of things. It truly is a shame the team wasn’t sold to someone with Carolina ties. -
Nah, just because of the qb situation but there are some top heavy OTs and DEs, arguably the second two next important positions on the field. 6 for 24, + second and third this year and second next year sounds good. but anyway you look at it it will suck since it’s basically just making up for Darnold and idiot moves

Todd McShay - Rhlue "won't be crying when the two sides part ways"
onmyown replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
All I know is when he’s fired, I better hear news of Tep hiring an experienced team to do what he’s failing at doing. Including dumbass contracts. Surely he can’t still trust his own judgment anymore. Even JR got to that point. -
is this even a motto? dammit am i too old to understand this? is it some sort of hip way to say something, because I don’t get it at all…the brand? wtf does that mean? the hell is going on?

at that rate we won’t have enough numbers to field a team in the not so near future no. Sam Mills is the only number that should be retired and wouldn’t you know it’s the only number that is. it should be kept sacred, not for just fan favorites I like high standards, the panthers have yet to have a truly long term defining HOF franchise player to do this. none of those are it. wasn't drafted because of a jersey number? stans defying the impossible and embarrassingly outdoing themselves yet again

Moving the chains may be eliminated soon.
onmyown replied to PantherOnTheProwl1523's topic in Carolina Panthers
Referees are (very) slowly becoming phased out, at the least not on the field. Some argue the ‘fun unpredictable traditions of the game’ but I doubt any one of these athletes support anything less accurate or technological methods to call a game their livelihood depends on. As a fan I agree, I want accuracy, not feelings. -
I mean it makes sense and is the smart play, but the same reason they passed on a QB just to do it the year after also makes sense for perennial losing teams, so you have to factor in stupidity. The fallacy in this reasonable article here is things trying to make logical sense of things. If they cared too much they’d wouldn't have signed TB and gutted a draft for Darnold. Never underestimate stupidity with Rhule and Tep in the room.

I honestly just thought he was pointing out how this guy was known in order to jog memories for those who may not recall or know who he was. I didn’t think there was a a reason to blow up over it, but intent/purpose is more important to me than getting flustered at literally everything. There are so many things to be angry and take offense to if you really want to look hard enough. I’m convinced it’s some people’s life mission. I’m outraged. That’s all he was? A standout and first pick? That’s demeaning who he is as a person. There is so much more to him than being and athlete. What about those things? Are we just going to ignore them especially announcing his death? That didn’t define him that was just what he did. This is embarrassing and insulting. And how he died? I mean really what does that have to do with anything? I suppose your first stop is getting gas wherever you go. Why didn’t this announcement come from family? Anyone feel odd it’s his AGENT? Is it his place to announce this? Especially considering he wasn’t just an athletes and I doubt Saunders was the closest person to him. Unbelievably embarrassing. CANCEL SAUNDERS. The headline should’ve read: Dwayne Haskins, 24, is deceased.

That’s exactly what it is. People do not realize our brain is wired to naturally direct us where our eyes are focused, without conscious effort to ‘multi task’. Good example is using a firearm at close/mid range, I’ve seen a lot of people in training. Too many try to aim. When instructors tell them to stop, just look at the target, point and shoot, the scores were near perfect. Some people start to gawk and don’t realize their body shifts them to drive straight at what they’re looking at. Rubbernecking, looky-loos.

onmyown replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
My bud is having a two day draft BBQ at his house with pool, outside kitchen etc. Told em I’ll be there for the first 20 mins. I can’t even enjoy draft day/weekend anymore.- 107 replies

Why I will never, ever check my car on the highway. I don’t care if it’s just changing a tire, I’ll get it towed and GTFO of there. Putting way too much trust in thousands of people. And most people can’t drive in the first place and think they can. My coworker always gave me shut for driving like ‘a bitch’ aka defensive driving. One day I asked how many accidents he’s been in and his insurance rate in front of his GF. The jokes stopped after that lol. And he totaled a company car a year later. Plus…Florida? F no. Anyways really sad to go so young.
