  1. I think Tep needs to simmer down with this whole 5/6 year thing, you’re basically telling players like cmc their prime will be wasted i also am not sure what they think when historically it’s actually only 3 years for new coach to bring in success if you really think it takes 5-6 years, fine but that takes a reset, a tank of some sort, and trade your guys and stock picks
  2. Cam is one classy dude on the field despite his dumb poo off of it i’ll never forget drafting Grier when the analysts and myself were screaming for Crosby and the dumbass blank looks after Grier was chosen I think Rivera was a perfect coach for Crosby fuging Hurney being Hurney hometown heroes and all, god what an idiot
  3. yea he’s got some uncoachable, elite traits no doubt, and tbh I’m not even worried about this off field stuff especially in boring Charlotte lol good city to just focus my concern is really just the general NFL learning curve and dealing with failures - he has to keep on top of it, some of those moves on film are great and all but they won’t fly at all in the NFL…which I suppose you could say about many qbs coming in, Zach Wilson is found that out last year Mahomes made em work tho, but mahomes also got a year to sit and tune it along with elite coaching these are the reasons I really don’t want to see him out there too early, let him learn for half season-ish at least imo even a high caliber back up would be worth the pick. And since Rhule refuses to let go of PJ we can move him to assistant to the back up qb or something
  4. think you’re getting cam stans and Panther fans confused i was not happy about wasting 10 m that could’ve been rolled over on a lost season whatsoever and thought it made Tep look even more foolish from a success standpoint but you’re right in that he was shown all he had to do is play with emotions and he’d be loved no matter the results from the stans pretty much ruined my enjoyment but at some point when those things aren’t an option Tep will have to find success
  5. why you all gettin your panties in a wad about 2025 not even halfway into 2022? lol
  6. successful teams watching welker and guys like kupp dominate, and watching the unfortunately limited film of cmc showing those same flashes, running crisp routes and being productive in the slot, and noticing the panthers think he’s Jerome Bettis 2.0 are probably salivating at using cmc the right way meanwhile Rhule argues if our constantly injured HB isn’t avoiding open space and running between the tackles for 30 carries a game for 1/4 the season we are taking away what makes him special can’t make this poo up
  7. Nah, I think with the better coaching and oline, we’re set up for 7, and 8 would be overachieving. I mean I’d have to believe those changes are worth more than just one single more win. Dare I say if CMC stays healthy 9 wins is not impossible, just unlikely.
  8. I was too young to watch Taylor but I’ve watched everything I could find online of him back when I played for texas state (also a OLB) funny thing - I think his first contract was like 6 years for 6 million dollars back then lol how things have changed
  9. just talking LBs in general, since Luke also played on the inside and in 3-4, (though I thought this was incredibly stupid)…Taylor also played some (albeit very limited) middle but yea generally the best played middle and also in a 4-3 (obviously)
  10. Sorry but Lewis is up there Taylor. Those are the 2 GOATS. then Singletary Then Urlacher/Seau… then Luke in recentish times Lewis, Urlacher, Luke top 3/5 all time is not bad at all if he would have kept going, I have doubt doubt he’d join Lewis and Taylor
  11. People just want to see anything other than Darnold and get hyped about it. Then when poo flies there will be dumb knee jerk pessimistic troll threads after the first bad game or INT etc. Typical off-season on the huddle. Manage expectations. In reality the odds are against Corral and it will likely take quite a bit of time (minimum a full season) for him to even be ready to truly play. Also in reality, a solid backup manager for where he was picked isn’t a bad deal at all and I’d be happy with that. PJ is a waste. Should he ball out before then he will defy history and thus logic. In my opinion this franchise will and does still need a franchise QB.
  12. honestly…if the Mormons didn’t settle it, I’d wager it’d be all the rage, it has some of the best if not the best natural beauty in the US, especially if you include park city unfortunately a lot of the poo hole factors are thanks to the religion. And not just politics. Their money goes to the church and investments go to churches, temples and related things…and is less invested in the city itself. And they’re a frugal people, they prepare a lot of emergencies and stock pile poo despite being surrounded in garbage and very slow change happens. The church hoarded money. On top of it all they have like 10 kids….so yea no money is ever put into the city, Mormons are a ‘it’s good enough’ type outside their church. investments don’t go to social services, they go to the church to provide for members. Why put money into rehabs/family based services when going to church based ‘healings’ is all you need…that’s the mindset here. If you’re not a member we’ll your SOL thats why everything looks like poo. It’s a real shame. I am getting out soon.
  13. im in SLC, will never happen people are in church and preaching door to door all day Sunday. they’ll burn for all eternity if they miss it…or have a beer, or really do anything else on the sabbath
  14. No chance. Even if Darnold bombs the first couple of games or Corral wins the preseason super bowl, I don’t see him starting until at least game 5. Rhule is hesitant to ruin guys throwing them in too early. In the interview he specifically said while it’s tempting, sometimes you hold back because throwing someone in there ruins players. In addition we all see what he did with BC. I mean a mini traffic cone could’ve been better but he still wasn’t really put in until late. Not only cautious, but OVERLY cautious. And while I disagreed with that, I do not think Corral should start day one. It’s not all about physical ability or even meshing with the team, I think he needs time to master most of the playbook, because limiting plays because he’s in will definitely affect his growth. We don’t have a mastermind HC ala Belicheck/Mac situation.
  15. Personally, I wouldn’t get overhyped for Corral. I mean of course I’m rooting for him but the odds are against him. I wouldn’t say drafting a qb is like throwing a dart, in a sense of where they are taken. There is plenty to show qbs taken early turn out better, that’s not a fact mind you, but a bonafide trend.
  16. FWIW: “There have been 27 quarterbacks selected in the third round in the past 20 years, and most of them weren’t successful in the NFL. By my standards, only one developed into a star, while four were better than average and had good careers. Thirteen had unmemorable careers, and the other nine fall somewhere in between. I divided the picks into five separate tiers. If history is any indication, Rudolph is going to have to beat the odds to be successful in the NFL.” https://pistolsfiringblog.com/a-look-at-the-success-and-struggles-of-third-round-quarterbacks-in-the-nfl/
  17. the hate for Rhule should not be blinding. It’s not he can’t redeem himself, it’s that does he have the ability? because it will take a lot and won’t be easy not that we have a say - but if they figure it out and Rhule goes 9-8/10-7, especially with Darnold…or really anyone who is available at this point, it would be monumentally foolish to not keep it going and clutch that pitchfork just cause you’re upset and butthurt, that’s an emotional thought now i would bet against it happening but that really doesn’t have anything to do with it, the sentiment remains that said giving him 5/6 years is dumbassery
  18. wasn’t there a report saying the only issue was browns paying some of his salary? i mean if they just want to offload him for a 5th and will pay a lot of his salary, what’s the harm? could’ve rolled over 10 m for 4 weeks of worthless Cam last year just the same. and he will just add competition. he can be dumped next year too. lastly, i don’t know the rules but isn’t there a limit to rollovers in a certain time frame and also dependent on the spending on the league as a whole? i see no negatives in that scenario tbh but i also don’t see a lot of wiggle room outside of those requirements because he/the risk isn’t worth it. he’d also want to come here which I don’t think he does and there is no point in forcing it just because. same goes for jimmy G. As far as Foles i see zero upside unless it’s for a bag of corn nuts…and only ranch flavor.
  19. My favorite part was Rhule asking Fit what he was going/wanted to do. I could be wrong but something tells me it wasn’t always like this.
  20. Horn gettin sandwiched next to Brown and Ickey lol
  21. Darnold holding out wouldn’t be bad at all. Throw in PJ, high pick QB next year, profit. Corral will need time and competition. This season is a wash anyways.
  22. in the land where any success takes 7 years and good qbs are in their 40s, looks like i’ll be dead before this team ever wins a ring
  23. Chesney? Wtf? They got you doing commercials Rhule? Guess you gotta earn some of that 60m
