Comparing Sam, Baker, and Jimmy vs. shared opponents last season
onmyown replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
/rant Yea emotions are ok ala Delhomme but when people start saying they or someone is ‘passionate’ about something…it’s basically code word for annoyingly overbearing it’s not a compliment the greats are emotional, which is ok -
Statistically I think they there were ranked 31…so yea not last I guess. Am I forgetting a year the oline ranked last? I think the lowest it ever ranked under Cam was 23/24 if I remember correctly. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-final-2021-offensive-line-rankings If you have another measuring stick besides that, I’d be curious where it ranked the Panthers. I get it, start Corrall because Darnold sucks ass. Which basically covers Rhule fug up. But I disagree, I’d start him because he’s ready, and the team is somewhat stable. I disagree throwing him in there for any other reason. Joe Burrow is simply an anomaly. For one it’s apples to oranges as Burrow was a MUCH better prospect than Corral. Second that is literally the 4th or 5th time a team has made it than far with that bad of an oline since 2000. So 22 years. And the times it did happen before Burrow was the Manning’s. So HOF qbs. Burrow really was an anomaly on so many levels. It was extraordinarily impressive.

p.s. everyone needs to calm their tits for the 2022 season. It won’t be pretty, I assure you.

Last year we set historical records in the oline category, even for this franchise. An oline that was responsible for almost putting Sam in the hospital long term simply due to laziness and shitty mentality. CMC got hurt per usual. An OC who was eventually fired and a shitty interim OC. And Robbie is…well nuff said. Then you have Rhule governing it all. We can’t perfect everything but throw Corral in that situation and you pretty ruin any potential there is to begin with. For what? Because Darnold sucks ass? No thanks. I say give it 4-6 games. Let’s wait and see how all these changes mesh together. If a lot of that has obviously improved and it’s mainly just Sam sucking ass again by all means. I just don’t want Rhule to ruin a QB with potential to try and save his sorry ass, I mean hell even Cam couldn’t come in and over come it. A rookie sure as hell won’t. We as fans need to realize Corral isn’t here to save the franchise. If everything still looks like poo. Keep him on the damn bench until (hopefully) the new regimen next year.

It was just a clusterfug all around. Even the defense wasn’t as good as some are lead to believe outside the magical season. And yea, I remember the year where for the first 6 games they tried to push Cam to be more traditional and he looked like absolute trash until they took off the leash finally. I think Cam held himself back relying on skills that wouldn’t last and didn’t bother to learn technique. Or wasn’t able. Or wasn’t pushed enough. Either way. I think the biggest issue was an old school coach with new school talent. Rivera absolutely loved hard nosed football where you rely on a few big time stars to do everything and that’s it. One injury to them and things crumbled. Just like Fox. Forget about scheme and adjustment, let the best man win. It’s why they don’t take risks and always side with vets. Great for a lucky flash in the pan season, but not sustainable. Success with that mantra is always short lived now days. Always. Personally I see it as lazy coaching. A weakness really. It won’t always fail but it will never be consistent in this decade. I really believe had the coaching been above average and forward thinking (like a Peyton, McCvay even BB) where a balanced team was priority, the 2015 season wouldn’t have just been lightning in a bottle. But those coaches are hard to find for a reason.

so it may happen today and may happen by the end of the week and also may happen well into July…wtf? c’mon man are we this desperate for clicks?
-
i would’ve gladly done that for 5 mil, spent half on hospital bills and then be set for life
-
i mean that’s not uncommon for trash players who get overpaid…don’t blame him what’s funny is the person who overpaid him with this mentality lol maybe all the nut huggers will understand why he gets so much ‘hate’, he’s worthless
-
I actually agree, watching Rhule, I do believe he is really a good coach. I think he’d do well in top program. In college.
-
i think it’s logical to expect more of the same. lose Gilmore but get horn (who is still an uknown), lose Reddick and get ?. we gained ? to fix dline. but to address the ?’s the oline looks decent, problem is there is no depth. not enough draft picks to help the ?’s due to incompetence. still no qb or HC, supposedly better supporting cast though. i’ll be surprised if they crack .500 and I think that’s reasonable. i see zero reason the south won’t be won by Brady though.
-
This is true. But he’s also the most important player on the field. Sure let him run. But it needed to be limited. At what time did this FO get a bruising back to help out and preserve their QB instead of being lazy?

just like Luke in a 3-4 and CMC as Jerome Bettis 2.0…Chinn is next man these are some dumb motherfugers

Panthers have second most cap space in the NFL
onmyown replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
yes it is great we have the cap to cover the dead money from our idiot contracts happy days -
I think people really need to get over this concept Corral is going to come in like a Cam, Herbert, Wilson. That really isn’t all that common. Some players need more time I mean look at San Fran and all they gave up. They’re not a stupid FO, they see the value in it. And it’s beneficial. Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes etc. Allen probably could’ve benefited more too. It really will ruin players who aren’t ready. He’s a third rounder and has a lot to learn. There is no reason to sacrifice Corral just because Sam sucks balls. It may just be Corral’s ceiling is a backup which is fine. I think playing times and whoever wins in camp will show you want you have to an extent. Granted you do have a point in Rhule is making those calls, but Mc is now here, hopefully the right ones are made.

Yep. Value is a BIG factor. I had a $1k Samsung I bought and few years ago. Recently I bought a 55 inch TCL for $500. I spent all my media time on the TCL. TCL is a fantastic value brand imo. I was surprised how much better it was than my fancy Samsung. Any spare room or bedroom gets the TCL 100% and the main room will get the C1 or 80j when I finally decide. I do like the best extra features of the 90j but as it stands the 65 90j is 3k and the 80j is 1.5k. I just can’t justify the difference and to be honest that has been kind of annoying. I’m comparison the gap in the LG G1 and C1 is only $500 and that to me makes more sense. Of course this year they have the C2/G2 but the way prices plummet just months after a new model is released I feel it’s always smarter value wise to get last years’ model. But yea, value to me is more important than price. It’s down to the C1 or 80j for me.

The Panthers are the worst rated team in Madden 23
onmyown replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
yea maybe not a good analyst but statistically the worst and the best are the easiest picks and don’t need all that much effort lol we suck dammit I wanted to like Tepper but he clearly has no idea what he is doing -
Meh…I wouldn’t say 5x… The tiers are basically 1.5k, 1.0, 500. Anything around 2-3k isn’t worth it, it’s just the above prices with extra features (nicer yes but not worth the jump at all and everyone knows it). Then there re a few ridiculous priced TVs 5k-10k and beyond and these are basically showcases of the future 8k, mini led etc. but these technologies are years away from being affordable BUT close enough that OLED are finally coming down. I have been patiently waiting. A OLED today that cost say 3k, was 15k only 3-4 years ago. And so it is time.

Nice, this is good info. TV won’t be in direct sunlight but the room isn’t as dark as a basement. It’s average I guess you’d say? Has one large window coming from the side but that’s it. I’d say picture is more important but not at the expense of not being able to see it 50% of the day just because it’s clear and sunny. I’ve always loved Sony’s quality and admittedly never owned a LG. Samsungs for me have been utter trash. I am like you and looked at the processing. I have asked around and everyone says the C1 over Sony if I spend at least a quarter of my time gaming, which I do. Yet I still like the Sony, this puts my mind at ease should it be my choice.
-
I’m some ways I agree…but if you think OLED and LCD are even close, may be time to visit the ol’ opto. You don’t see how you worded that a bit off? No one knew you were going to enlighten us on what companies made the technology…because to a regular consumer that is kind of pointless information. Sony is marketing OLED as is Vizio, Hinsense and maybe it’s TCL market QLED, someone else is doing nano, there is another called full array and another called ‘mini LED’ who cares? I was more looking for a recommendation/experience and so for that you say LG for OLED and my question would be to share what really matters and is useful… WHY? That may be more useful than ‘they’re both fine’. I know Sony buys their OLED from LG but in looking at Sony’s top end OLED…it looks much better than LG and Sony appears to be way ahead of LG in terms of making a bright OLED.
-
Also Samsung is compete trash. Most reputable critics know it’s between LG and Sony. With some random models from Panasonic and Phillips…but for the most part it’s Sony and LG.
-
Uh…you may want to get re certified. Neither QLED or OLED is brand specific. It’s a type of TV/panel.
-
Basically you want a full array/QLED - (companies all have different names for it) which is basically the best standard LCD or the best on market which is a OLED. Downfalls of the OLED are the lighting isn’t as bright. Big factor is it causing burn in (due to OLED individual lighting sources). Though they are working on that and the the future is basically a bright OLEDs. But for now it’s a less bright OLED looking amazing in pitch black movie rooms or a full array for any lighting. I am leaning towards the full array but I am going to the store to check out if it will be a problem. If it’s not, OLED is the way to go.

In the market for a new TV. Budget is about $1500. Been looking at the Sony A80J and LG C1 (I game) 65 inch. I have zero experience with OLEDs and my main concern is how dark everyone says they are. Is this true, are they too dark for a semi bright room, should I just get a high grade normal LCD like the X95J? Anyone want to share their thoughts/experience with OLED? I game 50% of the time and movies the other half.
