it probably feels that way because you’re always on alert to be offended

Guys the picks don’t matter, the cap we cleared is a HUGE plus. Especially for a new coach. This was a win…I guess…a win from ourselves, we never should have have him that dumbass contract.
-
You’re not understanding it because you don’t appear to be considering the cap. It isn’t looking great. Money was spent on sub par players like Anderson and Thomas. Shaq’s contract makes me want to vomit. DJ is a mediocre contract but if his motivation falls anymore off a cliff it will turn to bad. And that’s likely, You have to consider the future, and in saying that you have to realize when getting a pick is better than having to let a player walk. Historically, the Panthers have been god awful at realizing this. And historically the Panthers are a bad team. However if you look at other teams, keeping a healthy cap by making solid moves before forced by hand and then being able to sign the RIGHT players/pieces at will (Bills) are signs of a proper rebuild, and not being stuck. Sometimes hard choices need to be made, you hate to see it, but you see it all over the NFL all the time. You can’t sign Chinn, Brown, and Burns…you just can’t. You need to consider timing. However ideally the new coach and his vision/plan should big a huge factor, only problem is 5th year options and/or pissing a player off not paying them when you’re trying to figure things out and you risk letting them walk. Tag and trade is always an option but you then basically waste your tag and makes trade talks more difficult. So yea, it’s not just about the player.

fug no. Our team needs to be built not just QB. We need dlineman because we can pay burns unless we can unload poo contracts like shaq Anderson and Thomas. Our cap is in the gutter. Your new coaching regimen is going to like a high pick and a healthy cap otherwise not only do you not attract the best but they’re set up for failure. We also need LBs and contrary to popular option we need WRs. Also will need a decent RB after CMC. Time and time again it’s said you try and compete years 3-5 of a rookie QB contract, ideally.
-
This has been an issue since he was drafted. Smitty called it out day one. Then again some time later. Miraculously he does better after being called out, quite a coincidence. Cant blame him, I don’t see him as a professional like CMC. He’s just not on that tier, and hea played with trash basically his whole professional career with lame duck coach then Rhule and what not. Never had a legit qb, z

Brown was being double teamed frequently today
onmyown replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
with cmc aging and or being traded with burns, and brown blooms into anything worthwhile he is next to be the top contestant on most wasted player And then horn cam>Luke>cmc>Chinn> Possibly brown>horn is this the tradition Tepper is trying to continue? -
Even for me this is some stan hyperbole. I get the NFL let alone the Panthers didn’t exist before Cam but relax, believe it or not the Panthers made it to the SB before without him as did many teams. Watching the NFL in general, over a longer period of time, will tend to give a little more grand view of the sport.

disagree, they’re ass

it’s funny we see cmc snag balls like that and then use him as a bowling ball lolollol because ex college qb Edelman had less talent so cmc must not be able to do it
-
You equally can’t attract without cap room. But I agree more or less. Issue is the Panthers have horrendous contracts on the books. But having the number 1 overall should be very attractive to any and all candidates. Add in some additional firsts and it really helps with the lack of talent and make up for the fact our owner is a complete moron.

QB Showcase: The Non-Stroud/Young/Levis Crowd

man you must’ve really hated watching the panthers the past 3 years -
A second look at Tepper's presser after a few days
onmyown replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Basically I don’t give two fugs how hard Tepper thinks he is trying. I care about his self awareness; his ability to recognize when he can’t do something and needs help. Because he has been historically and impressively inept. It’s literally all that matters when it comes to the future of this franchise and the sooner he can learn this skill the better. -
REPORT: Burns practically a "lock" to be traded before the deadline
onmyown replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
ultimately and ideally you’d like the next coach to decide what to do with Burns. the next best thing is to offer said coach draft picks at the least. Not sure if a huge contract is doable in trying to rebuild - rebuilding the right way takes a lot of capital worst thing is he walks and we get nothing which is the Panther way its really unfortunate they paid Anderson and Thomas more stupid financial moves holding the team back what’s new -
I’d allow an owner to retire it only after the Panthers’ complete their first dynasty with at least two SB wins.
-
Tepper is a god damnfuging idiot and embarrassing every time he opens his stupid mouth. The best HCs in the nfl have a ton of control. The issue is Tepper is too inept and gave a Baylor coach ALL control and a moron contract and doesn’t know the difference. Christ almighty I hate that ugly fug.

What? the panthers are in the bottom third of the nfl w/l since inception also the franchise that resembles the panthers closest in all major categories is… the jets. next? the jaguars. They lost their champ game(s), the panthers won theirs only to lose the super bowl (s). is that single game what your referring to as to how we are so much better? lol How many die hard nfl fan friends outside of Panther friends do you have? I have about 25 I watch and hang with on the west coast. No one knows who the panthers are outside of cam. decent success for our age, nah man…the facts and stats are there, the Carolina panthers are below average and can only point to a few teams as worse since inception
-
exactly aren’t we all mad? how the actual fug do you manage to displease a fanbase grounded in mediocrity that never saw back to back winning seasons? that takes a true level of ineptness. and I refuse to believe Tepper is that stupid to not do it on purpose, he was negligence paying attention to other dumbass poo while alienating hardcore fans - fug him.
-
For the past couple of years huddlers embarrassingly claimed the team was only a qb away from competiting (lol)… but this year, it is more close to being true than any other year and yet we have had the worst start just goes to show that’s how badly we need hope at that position and the best chance is the draft considering all data PJ upsetting a few teams won’t change that but it will change our chance to obtain that. No thanks. Though I doubt that’ll happen anyways. Point is barring a miracle I’m certainly not hoping we beat a few poo teams or teams having a poo or injured day on the season since I think winning 12 straight and making the playoffs is never going to happen.
-
This team winning a few games is a horrible thing to hope for. Go watch the the end of 2018 where the Allen lead Panthers fought tooth and nail to defeat the Saints’ third stringers and waterboys to essentially drop 6 spots in the draft or whatever if that kind of weird poo excites you. The moral victories are redundant, why do people need them over and over? That isn’t hope, it’s meaningless. The top pick in a qb heavy class is hope. Maybe even more importantly, having that top pick is going to be a factor in luring the best coaching prospects as possible. Wilks is NOT it.

Hard to imagine with cmc back and oline going from last to top third we actually named a worse QB as starter than Darnold lol Baker is otherworldly atrocious.

Tanking does not guarantee a good QB
onmyown replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers options: draft elite talent and hire competent staff to give best chance of success or pick up an unwanted FA QB that has had little mediocrity play that no one else wants and hope they turn out newsflash: option 2 is what we have been doing. historically it doesn’t usually work out and it didn't here either newsflash #2: a worthwhile FA qb with options will turn this dumpster fire down. It’s already happened. Even coaches it’s happened lol they aren’t playing here, why would they? soooo yea just what exactly is the plan to find a franchise QB? What is the Panther’s best chance? or better question, why is this so hard to understand? -
NFL: Snyder says league "can't ---- with me" because he has dirt
onmyown replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s what the NFL is. Not just owners, players as well. POS humans galore. But the NFL is not here to teach us child book lessons - it’s here for entertainment. I always chuckle at the moral high ground people caring about a single incident but continue to watch the sport lol. I mean we don’t want Peyton because of bountygate right??? Like if you don’t want to support a business because of it offending or violating literally any cause that has ever existed whatsoever in the history of modern mankind, the NFL is it. Rape, murder, human rights, animal rights, child abuse, it’s endless. -
excellent, we need to tank we need pool tables and ski ball, someone install a damn stripper pole in there and let JR come back as a bartender we can make extra space in the weight room throwing out the clutter
