  1. Yea I’ve always said it’s very hard to accept the best candidate was already in house but there is a reason they keep hiring guys with no options. No one wants to play for Tepper, understandably. Or, they’re looking for a payday. Tepper is still meddling. He hires a consulting firm but a big part of me thinks he just has an overbearing attitude that people pick up on right away and realize they won’t be employed if they go against the grain. Tepper always yaps about needing and loving people who disagree with him to go back and forth and there is a reason for that, it’s not true. The loud person always taking about bullshit because they’re trying to convince themselves and others of something completely false, we all know these kind of people. As the dysfunction goes on year after year we can only be described as the Browns. Less and less options coach and player wise and money will matter less and less because there simply is no chance of success under Tepper.
  2. Hurney’s bloated contracts paying for the past and his god awful ability to fill holes with vets/FAs made him a terrible GM. Basically the opposite of Gettle who couldn’t draft but had an eye for filling holes with vets. Also his hometown hero obsession. Don’t forget trying to trade into the first for Little lol
  3. Tepper wants to win his way. That’s really all there is to it. There is no other way. And since he doesn’t know jack poo about building a winning franchise and isn’t qualified, we will continue to lose until he changes his mindset.
  4. I personally worked with him for over 10 years. Can vouch he is NOT a yes man. Makes me think more of how long he’ll last. I’m also very tempted to ask if he wanted Stroud over Young lol
  5. Anyone in the building who was vocal about Stroud despite knowing Tepper loved Bryce should be retained. But Tepper would never.
  6. Oline wasn’t the worst in the league? For context- most metrics have them ranked around 29/30. No it’s not 32 but that’s on par with the worst in franchise history which was 2021 (31). Cam’s own Chandler and Bell lineup came in at 23/24, and Cam’s career average oline rank was 16/17, seems people were pretty upset about that. Franchise sack record. Second record for any first overall rookie QB pick in NFL history. Very, very teams have fielded a bottom 5 oline twice in a three year span. I didn’t go back to a five year span but I’d bet money the Panthers would have or be very close to having the worst average oline during that time in the entire league.
  7. Really baffling. All we had to do was suck like we deserved and get a top pick. Gell could’ve redeemed ourselves and trade burns. Could have kept cmc and Moore and lure a coach to use them but not with dumbass Tepper’s would ‘I am smarter then everyone’ qb cheat codes and become the bottom the barrel nfl team for 5 years. And for what? Fit was now fired and any dumbass fan knew he was awful to begin with. I really hate Tepper for what he’s done here, it’s really just unbelievable.
  8. I mean y’all are too damn extreme. Two things can be true. Young can be a back up and that number can still be atrocious. That sack number is now the most in franchise history and also the most any number one overall QB in history has had besides Carr. Regardless of Young not working out that is some really shitty numbers for whoever the QB is and doesn’t exactly attract talent. No wonder Stafford said fug that poo.
  9. Who cares what we want. What do the players want? We don’t play on it. And we already know the answer. And what are you on about profitable? Lol they are PLENTY profitable with just the NFL but let’s be real there is never enough profit for some. You can have it both ways it just comes with less profits. Thats the issue and is not one people want to discuss and for good reason. You can’t not look like a complete ass and POS human by arguing for turf for better profit and worse player safety/health.
  10. lol ‘grass vs turf debate’….’most players prefer’… Are there players who have come forward and said they prefer turf? seems like the only preference for turf is by those who don’t actually play on it and that’s not what I’d call a debate, it’s greed
  11. I’d imagine people talk in the NFL. People know what’s going on here and it’s bad. Coaches and players (Stafford) were already declining coming here. That was before this season. Money is the only, single selling point. We will not be getting a top candidate, time to accept that now.
  12. Imagine paying 10K+ to watch a game from this team lol If I’m going to throw that kind of money away I’d rather go to the Super Bowl or just do nothing
  13. When you sign on to deal with Tepper and the atrocious Panthers, I think it’s safe to say now you either wanted money or your career is on the downswing. No one comes here for a chance to win a ring or build anything. It’s sad.
  14. this would only work with a proven HC, I see people posting this is how teams do it and other than all star, successful HCs, I don’t really see it… I think teppers issue is he has no clue what a good GM is, course he doesn’t know what a good HC is either so who the fug knows what he’s doing
  15. Difference is if I take days off because I don’t think I’m paid enough or earned that money last year I’ll be fired. Burns does this and thinks he deserves more money. But I am only a pleb and don’t have it as easy so what do I know. I do however wonder how that mindset translates out after a big contact and I’m sure other GMs do too.
  16. Tepper specially said almost every guy in the building in his presser, that’s what I am referring to.
  17. Yea and a lot of times these are the promotions. People will literally follow a loud, confident extrovert off a damn cliff if they proclaim it’s the way to go. It’s taken me years to find employment where that is not the case.
  18. Actually it was report *almost* everyone in the building. I’d really like to know who wasn’t on board. I’m guessing McCown. Maybe Reich.
  19. I know Morgan and his wife pretty well. Morgan (or his wife) is not the type to not say what they think. They are great people. I highly respect and admire them both. That said, it’s always hard for be to believe the best possible candidate is already in the building as this franchise has tried to sell for a while now and it never works out.
  20. I find it very, very odd to start listing issues with other teams as an argument as to why Carolina is more appealing. Carolina is probably the worst landing spot not just of available teams today, but for the past two decades. And coaches know it. But if we were just talking about teams with HC openings this season, the Chargers, by far and away, have the most appealing opening.
  21. If he comes to the NFL, Harbaugh is going to LA, too many connections and an QB for it not to happen.
  22. Unfortunately tag and trade deals really aren’t that common. I mean it could happen but a tag and walk is in the mix as well and god damn if that isn’t the epitome of this idiotic franchise.
