Wilson will rebound next year. His numbers are average, just not elite. That’s his floor. -

Been saying this for a while. Some people are butthurt for some reason. Baker and PJ can’t read the field either. 11 weeks on the bench vs one of the best ds in the league. He still is trash but not like baker or PJ. -
Tepper is already as dense as a fuging rock, can’t help but feel a business minded individual be more prone to idiocy with zero financial consequences. Then again, with his level of ineptness it probably doesn’t matter anyways.

where is that poster with ‘inside info’ who said he’s not going there lol

Dan Graziano: Panthers interested in Frank Reich

Definitely weird since Mr.S was so adamant he would never do such a thing when I brought it up. -
Dan Graziano: Panthers interested in Frank Reich

Really? Must’ve missed that. I thought he said he was to remain the only one making the decisions with the help of the GM (who he would hire). But if true, it’s huge, and I am much more positive for the future. -
Really like him. But I also understand Young. Both have concerns. No one is perfect. But I lean towards immeasurables with a prospect for those exact reasons. It’s always a risk but I do feel better about either one than anyone lay season. You have to take your chances. Plus we will undoubtably be in the mix for the first pick next year. New HC and if done right, GM. New staff and likely a lot of new players and turn over. Usually first years are very ugly. Personally in todays age and the value of a qb I see absolutely zero problems drafting a qb high back to back and picking the best in the end. The Patriots of done it. If you don’t have to trade up and waste resources doing it it makes sense. Hell I’d spend pick 1 three years in a row swinging on QBs if it meant a franchise qb, even if that’s not ideal. And honestly we don’t exactly have great scouts/Fo personnel like other teams to just take one big giant swing.

With Tepper still doing the hiring, it doesn’t matter. He’s way in over his head and has absolutely no clue what he is doing. He’s like that business owner that’s really good friends or family with the investors or whatever and was given the keys to take over despite zero experience. Normally, you ignore what he says to keep things productive having a lot of experience. But every once in while he comes in an makes this huge, batshit weird, off the wall decision to flex, even though everyone knows he has no idea what his decision will mean and for the next few months you scramble just trying to keep poo from hitting the fan and finding/maintaining workarounds of said horrible decision until his next blunder. Meanwhile he takes all the credit for things running smoothly and even excelled while you’ve done essentially the opposite covering up his dumbshit behind his back. We have all had this happen in some degree. Except Tepper is the owner and no one is overriding him and but like said owner, he isn’t even smart enough to realize how dumb and out of touch his mentality is. And no one will tell him otherwise not because he doesn’t welcome it but because he hires very like minded individuals whose are full of poo and ‘sway you’ (see Rhule). Tepper says he likes it when people disagree but then hires people who think like him. Weird isn’t it? Tepper would benefit from actually hiring someone he really hates and disagrees with. I would doubt and be extremely skeptical of anyone Tepper would hire because it would be done for all the wrong reasons, by someone completely unqualified. -
Just like that back that went to the falcons everyone around here claimed was the second coming of Barry sanders lol I don’t even remember his name when teams dial in after some tape, that’s the real tell cmc had half the defense locked in on him in this shitty ass offense for years and still put up respectable/elite numbers and if we had anyone worth a poo, they’d take advantage of all his attention too huddle going to huddle per usual

Lmao this thread is win sam is not

My only concern with keeping Wilks as HC…

god dammit people no, fug is wrong with our fans jesus christ -
except they don’t know how to hold a bat and are facing the wrong way

Ehhhh. I think he’s good but he’s overrated. And Wilson doesn’t look like Clausen lol he looks average. Not elite like expected though for sure. But I’d bet he rebounds next year. The only times trading for a qb, or even FA that also needs money ever pays off is if you have a good team already. Bucs, rams etc. Broncos failed bc they had like zero offense. And I wouldn’t say the panthers are a good team. you have the reasons why which include coaching and more importantly ownership. So in essence, for this to pay off, Tepper would need to get his head of his ass and miraculously hire a good GM who then hires a good HC who wants to come to Carolina over other options, then you need Lamar to say fug everyone but Carolina… that’s just too much poo that needs to happen, I don’t even think we’d get past step 1 tbh
-
Bro, no offense but you sound delusional. I get your point about building a team to compete and CMC going to a NFC team but I am not sure you fully comprehend how far this franchise has sunk, and from being mediocre at that. Tepper just said he will still be doing the hiring without any outside help. He will still be calling all the shots. He is refusing any self awareness. He saw what his decisions led to, and somehow concluded he was competent to continue. What the fug do you think this means for us? This is the Browns blueprint. Meanwhile You’re over here worried about building a team that can handle the forty niners and nfc in what? A playoff game? A championship game? Lol This team has no HC no QB and no GM and no owner basically. There is zero reason to worry - the Panthers won’t be on the 49ers level or legit playoff level until CMC is about to retire, mark my words. the trade was a good trade, don’t be mad about some hypothetical that will never be. Look at what actual is. Read between the lines, observe the details and follow the trend. We suck and we suck hard.

Matt Rhule joins GMFB Tuesday & Wednesday
onmyown replied to Ocpanthertew714's topic in Carolina Panthers
exactly who gives two shits about rhule when the head of the snake lives on until Tepper hires consulting and admits he needs help (he won’t) we are royally fuged. this guy is playing real life madden after just finding out what madden is. -
I agree cmac is more than just a hb and people are really ignorant to that - but fact remains he was being wasted here. He has got to be on a team that has multiple weapons and San Fran understood that. Otherwise opposing teams will just dial in on him and kill and offense designed with his as the main star. not to mention an OC/HC that knows how to use him and extend his career. Carolina wasn’t doing poo with cmac, and that is the fault of being a shitty franchise with a dumbass owner. For those reasons it was a good deal for everyone.

Quote ‘DJ needs to catch the balls when thrown to him’
onmyown replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude prolly shouldn’t have signed a new contract if that’s how he felt. This is the new Browns. Get on board with the dysfunctional, embarrassing, perennial losing franchise or gtfo. In five years Tepper has (literally) not done a single thing that has positively impacted the results on the field. Unless you include firing his own inept hires. That’s what you sign up for coming to Carolina. -
People who thought Forman was as good as CMC don’t understand football at even a Madden level. DJ is not ‘explosive’ either. If you even casually watch NFL games outside the team, DJ is not really impressive in any sense. This offense sucks big time and has a ton of needs.

The Panthers simply aren’t tough enough to win in the NFL

The Panthers simply aren’t tough enough to win in the NFL
onmyown replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper looks back at his decisions so far and decides to announce he feels it’s important to still be heavily involved in hiring process. Seriously. You can’t make this poo up. It was that moment that I knew we are at the least in for another round of idiocy; at most, this losing culture and dysfunctional franchise are here to stay. Losing will become the norm. Going to games will be a drunken novelty event. In essence the new Browns. -
The LA Rams are 3-7…. We had their second round pick this year
onmyown replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wtf that does not even apply to this lmao, do you even understand the theorem you linked? It relies on infinite time and random input and isn’t relevant at all. Since Tepper took over most of his dumbass blunders were immediately called out and shortly later failed over a spans of five years, which is a just a tad shorter than an infinite amount of time. Furthermore, as much as the huddle argues at one another it was a general consensus of probably like 80% of the huddle (which is impressive), far less than 100s or 1000s, not random patterns, and not infinite time. 50 posters (declining over time), one pattern, foresight, five years. Finally, your conclusion also makes zero sense. These things don’t mean huddlers would be a good GM. It means our GM and owner are not good enough to be a GM/owner. Get it? -
people point to djs stats since he was drafted with trash qbs but then blame trash qbs, which is it? DJ is not a #1. Gives up and can’t block. Past stats largely cam in trash time playing from behind near end of games. I’ve watched his whole career. that said he is a solid 2 and would be better with a 1 on the field, not just for defenses attention, but also said 1 barking at him. It’s what he needs. Proof: smitty calling him out twice and twice miraculously played better.
