  1. someone run over and give that guy a panthers jersey and cleats lmao
  2. y u all actin Darnold and Wilks not being the answer is shocking tho?
  3. excellent, was looking for ideas for my time capsule thx
  4. To put this very simply - this was a settlement to avoid liability/lawsuits. That doesn’t mean at all the premise for wrong doing wasn’t there, in fact quite the obvious for the basic reason that people in the right don’t settle. Why would they? It would cost a poo ton less even with the best lawyers to prove you’re in the right legally. In fact, probably 5% or less. But some here can’t read between lines and think a savvy businessman who’s made financial decisions with otherworldly precision his whole life said fug that I will pay 95% more than I have to because ?…THE Rock Hill SC politicians and media? Lol Y’all must live a rough and confusing life. And he’s still under investigation for fraud which unless there is a go getter straight shooter running that (and anyone above him as well), will probably be paid off (or has in a way, already).
  5. A big issue is the NFL, and by that I mean out of touch honchos who have never watched a sport in their life, categorizes what they offer as a product. One barcode. That is - NFL football. In reality, they have 32 distinct and highly individualized barcodes; ‘32 products’. What they assume is by moving from Charlotte to Denver, I will now become a Broncos fan and everyone is happy as I will still enjoy NFL football. The issue however is that type of casual person /customer in this type of business is 1. rare and 2. sure as poo isn’t paying any money to casually watch a sport. So you alienate the die hard, dedicated fan, who lives out of area. Yet this is the fan willing to pay money, even a premium, being a said die hard fan with no options. But, only for their team, for their product…BECAUSE they’re a die hard fan. THIS is their prime demographic with money to give when it comes to streaming, not some casual fan of the sport, and they’re too god damn stupid to figure that out.
  6. Yes, after reaching a deal/settlement. And as part of that settlement lawsuits were dropped. With respect to the payment. As in Tepper paid for his mistake. That is also in the article…this is PR fluff talk. Surely you understand that? You could say he’s a nice guy for paying for his mistake I suppose. However it did take a federal judge to sort this out. What that means is it wasn’t mutual. Oh yea and he’s still under investigation; “Tepper and his company remain under investigation by York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson and Solicitor Kevin Brackett for possible misuse of public money.”
  7. you don’t need a MBA to make fairly obvious business observations and connect dots that are already dotted for you well…most of us don’t anyways
  8. Welp guess I’ll keep streaming on questionable sites since the nfl clearly doesn’t want my money by first punishing me for where I live and secondly wanting me to pay more for a ‘package’ and though not mentioned, prolly a dumb contract too. I think they underestimate how many fans they alienate and money they miss out on. But that’s what happens when 70 year olds are likely calling the shots. Hell they might even just keep it status quo on a fuging outdated satellite in 2023 lol
  9. Politicians are generally slime however this particular case is a reflection Tepper was in the wrong (as I said the minute this news came out) and would pay dearly. Penny pinching, ego driven, successful businessmen do not pay that type of money for any other reason.
  10. flashes in the pan are a dime a dozen in the NFL, who cares. when there is tape, controversy, roster turnover and as time goes on, continuing at a high level is what’s rare.
  11. But they’re not speculation/opinions, there is plenty of evidence based on historical facts and examples from being HC already. Your measuring stick is Rhule, and what he brought to this fanbase, as evident by what you’re saying so your opinion is already kind of skewed. This board always has these bipolar, exception to the rule and larger sample of evidence takes/reactions and this is one. And I personally would rather have a defensive coach. But barring a playoff win, I do not think the best coach available for the job miraculously also happens to be our interim HC.
  12. NO. have you guys watched Seattle this year? Smith has been lucky as hell with his play and it’s finally catching up with him. He’d should have a poo ton more picks than he does. And his hype will get him overpaid. Would rather trade for a top qb imo.
  13. No. However the only olines we have had that were better went to the Super Bowl, plus 2008, and one was on roids. Of course everyone in the nfl is on them they just cycle them so they don’t get caught. This is probably the fourth best maybe fifth, but is for sure the best with the worst record. Rivera could’ve easily went at least 8/9, 9-8 with this team. It’s pretty rare a coach makes a team worse, usually they don’t do poo or the team is just poo. Not Rhule, his awful results makes you believe there was some sort of conspiracy to be as purposefully bad as he was.
  14. Yes. Do you know how rare a good oline is? #11 out of 32 is about top 30%…that’s very impressive. I think one more year keeping them together could prove a top tier oline. Oline is the second most important aspect of a winning team aside from defense and even ahead of an elite QB. If you watch the top oline teams like the eagles and chiefs, you can tell they’re on another level than the panthers. I still see a few bonehead blunders every game and that’s probably keeping us out of top 5 but this ranking is about where I would rank them.
  15. I’d say it’s pretty close to Rivera and Norwell….or Norman…actually at least Norwell was an unknown UDFA I think so yea you’re right. I have always generally had a sense how other coaches worked, but I literally have no clue how Rhule worked. Probably names in a hat or some poo.
  16. At this point I am in the trade for one. I think we can afford it given this team just needs a qb (and a legit dlineman). But only if they think the franchise qb is there. I do worry about not having draft capital, our FO isn’t exactly an elite franchise and could be crippled by this type of move. But at the same time they will cripple themselves anyhow. If not just take BPA and see what options are available in the off-season. Sam is kind of null, bring him back to compete or don’t he’s not the future but he’s not going to demand a lot of money either so who cares.
  17. are you referring to beating the Cardinals third string QB? lol
  18. I will say statistically speaking in comparing teams who’ve made it in the past this team is similar. Outside of a QB of course. But having a beast offensive line and stout defense is great. I think the pass rush and qb is what is going to be the demise of this team. Geno Smith has made a lot of risky/dumb throws this season, he just always lucked out but that’s catching up to him. Point is, we have had games where the panthers give the opposing QB all day. That will get you obliterated come playoff time.
  19. Soon as we were out of range for top two qbs, I really don’t care. If this team beats the Cowboys in round one, I will be much more interested because even by chance they make it, it will be due to a trash division, just like when we made it 7-9 and it was realized very quickly that team had absolutely no business being there.
  20. ahhhhhh remember when you all had me racking up poo for saying Marshall should take Robbie’s place in the beginning of the year? yea, good times. idiots.
  21. man I miss Reebok and even starter, quality turned to trash after them
  22. but y is this 3 pg thread 90% op’s posts tho?
  23. The offense is literally the oline. They are just fuging straight up mauling opposing teams. You can actually go pretty damn far with that even without a QB. As I’ve drilled into the ground on this site, top oline is #2 commonality between super bowl and championship teams for the last 20 years. #1 being defense and #3 being an elite QB. With that in mind, it’s really dumbfounding this franchise has neglected it as much as it has.
