They forgot to mention when he ripped open his hand punching through his wife’s parent’s window on Christmas after getting sloshed instead of visiting with his kids which resulted in a protective order. Multiple players from different teams in NFL have spoke out they do not want him in the locker room period. That says a lot. I think one team even had him come work out for them to ‘assess his mental state’ (forgot who it was) and very quickly said fug no. He is unstable and surrounds him self with unstable people (shocking).

NFL Sunday Ticket’s last season (with DirectTV)
onmyown replied to onmyown's topic in Carolina Panthers
That is correct, unless you happen to be in an area DirectTV does not service (rare). Then you’d be able to stream it separately. There is absolutely no legal way for a fan of an out of market team to watch live games without DirectTV. And it will cost you $3,000 to do so. Either update your virus protector or get your lube ready. -

Not sure if you moved, but you can ONLY stream NFL ticket without a subscription if you are NOT in an area DirectTV services. -
NFL Sunday Ticket’s last season (with DirectTV)
onmyown replied to onmyown's topic in Carolina Panthers
Balls. I just read more articles and it appears you’re correct. Some are just outdated I guess. So if you just want NFL for the next two season you MUST have DTV with: 69.99 x 12 months (first year NFL ticket free) 109.99 x 12 months + 300.00 for 2022 season. = nearing $3,000.00 for two NFL seasons lol In 2021/22 are we really in an age where this is necessary? I mean really, this is extreme. This is why people illegally stream it. Just offer an NFL package to buy and stream instead of a selling point to coax people into an inferior broadcast provider. If it wasn’t inferior, you wouldn’t need to. -
Kinda slow around here so perhaps this topic will interest someone. DirectTVs rights to out of network games are up at the end of this season. ESPN+ is likely getting them and claim they will make it much easier to stream out of market games. As an out of market fan this is glorious. I’m tired of shady sites of ads, malware, poor quality etc. I just want to watch my Panthers and relax. I don’t mind a reasonable fee (though I think it’s insane the NFL basically punishes and outcasts it’s out of market fans in the name of local marketing and revenue, but that’s another topic). As of now DirectTV is offering packages starting at $69.99 WITH NFL ticket included. It does not appear at this point you can buy just the NFL pass for $300 like years’ past (gee, I wonder why). A 24 month agreement is required...yet NFL ticket will only be included this year, not next year. People will be hooked into a year+ extra contract without rights to, let’s face it, the only reason people have DirectTV in the first place. DirectTV continues their sleazy, fine print, bullshit ways. Many people are saying it will finally die once it loses NFL Sunday Ticket and I say good riddance.

Easy thing to say because had he made adjustments, it’s impossible to know if we would’ve won or still lost. But it’s pretty clear from the lack of adjustments, he sure didn’t help and his well known stubbornness cost him at the very least a better chance. I mean from the comments of that Broncos defense...hopefully that’s pretty obvious.
-
Any fan that watched the play calling the entire 2015 knows this players fought their hardest, tooth and nail to overcome miserable play calling, schemes and compensate for zero adjustments. It was always horrid to see plays beginning and then gratifying to see our team come through. Positive results were often a result of busted plays, overachieving players, and our players became elite at adapting (gee wonder why). Feel free to go back and watch. No, the coaching didn’t lose any games for the team but it didn’t do anything to help and already elite team either.

Ian Thomas on Sam Darnold: 'He's the Quarterback That We Need'
onmyown replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he sucks, fire everyone. -
I body cares about them because people like consistency. People start knowing their name when it’s used season after season for a long time. Not 1-2 years. Also 1k was the old standard some of you are showing your age. Doesn’t mean as much now days. Nevertheless, I don’t understand how they went from 26th to 8th 2019,2020...and now losing Samuel brings them to 20th? And at the end it says they have the pieces to be one of the better units...is 20th one of the better units? The rank does not match the prediction. I like PFF for a lot of things, usually grades after the fact. These draft rankings a day later and positional rankings before the season even starts they do is trash.

We will be in the Super Bowl next year
onmyown replied to Italianpantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
lol only $100? Why not $100,000? Doesn’t sound like faith to me! Just a forewarning - the ‘fire everyone!’ threads after our first loss, are usually bans. -
I think the idea was saving his entire contract and eating money this year. Course, I don’t know what the savings/guaranteed money was but he still had two years left. While he did well in 2019, 2020 was pretty bad. Maybe Rhule/Snow didn’t see him as a fit for what they wanted to do and wanted to save as much as possible on his 3 year deal. I don’t think we lost much by cutting him, but it is a legitimate question as to who will be replacing him. But the bar isn’t that high from his performance last year so and he is still a FA.
-
Yea I used the wrong wording. I meant restructure. And isn’t have a problem with the extension at the time either. Though if we used hindsight in this scenario, we would’ve been better off not never resigning him. We got one good year after his massive contract for 80 million or whatever. But again I understand resigning him at the time, though I think his decline was evident after his peak in 2015, and 80 million was way way too much when you consider what company he was in ranking salaries over that contract. I believe he was even slated to be the top paid DT in the NFL for 1 or 2 of those years. Had we never signed him we would’ve been better off.
-
Not only that but wasn’t it coming off a super bowl team/year? He fit very well with our defense and scheme. Hindsight isn’t 20/20 when the huddle breaks down due to these idiot moves (the Armanti edwards/Chandler Bell/Brown/Armini ‘experiments’, extending Short, signing Kalil, drafting Little, signing Jake, letting peppers walk for nothing, having the two highest paid HBs on the same team... lol....etc etc) the moment it happens. Armchair GMs should never be able to predict dumb moves like the huddle has. Not saying this place is right or wrong all the time, just scary to watch your favorite team make blatant, dumbass moves.
-
But how many were worth actually keeping around? Norman? Bradberry? Norwell? Perhaps they went on to be overpaid. But then again, overpaid or not, you have to consider where did their money actually go? To players like M Kalil....Shaq took BBs...Gano...fuging Short. Would you rather overpay a young draft pick or sign M Kalil? I think we all know where more money was wasted, overpaid or not. Not to mention being cap strapped later on when Gettle took over after Hurney went full on idiot in 2010 which was slightly a result of JR being a dumbass ‘businessman’ putting his money first. Just bad management overall. Bad moves everywhere, constantly. Success often came as a result of luck. But this is what happens when you have Hurney and then fuging rehire him as ‘interim’ for 4 years. This is what happens when you reward old players like Olsen and Kalil with farewell contracts instead of moving on. This is what happens when you are too stubborn to move on from vets and progress (Rivera mindset). You end up paying the wrong, old players and never have any talent to come in and take their place. Build through the draft my ass, always made me laugh when FO/fans said this. We paid aging plays and let draft picks go. It’s the exact blueprint for having a good season every 3-4 years, then resetting, as the Panthers have had since inception. It’s the recipe of mediocrity and the anti perennial winner.

How much of the Jets performance was really on Darnold?
onmyown replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s funny how this fanbase has no self awareness, always nagging on the Jets and jags...lol but but the Panther lost 2 Super Bowls!! And the Jets lost two conference games...does one game REALLY matter with no SB wins? Not really. Panthers can only look deep into the bottom of the barrel for any relief. Going into my 26th year as a fan just hoping for two winning seasons in a row. -

onmyown replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
You left the Jets for the Panthers? Lol -
Ehhh...the Panthers defense ranked at the top of the bottom third of the NFL, with pass defense average and running defense really fuging bad. In fact other than WRs, any unit that had a Panther’s uniform on ranked in the bottom of the league as well. Whether Terrance becomes the best rookie ever wouldn’t really matter as it’s the strongest position on the team. I’m not going all doomsday, I get the reasons why, but some of you are way too homer about things. The entire team as a whole will need a huge improvement to contend. I expect an average season to be happy, anything more will be a welcome surprise. Rhule will need more than 1 year to build a winning team, as ‘doomsday’ as that may sound to some.

Yes it is very normal. Nothing to see here, unfortunately.

Sam Darnold talks about The Adjust To Charlotte And The Panthers
onmyown replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
No body cares about TMZ drama bullshit. Rodgers, Brady, both Mannings, Brees, Jackson, Allen, Herbert, Mahomes are all pretty damn boring. Some of you might be too young to know, but ALL of the older ones were vanilla too at age 23. No reason to be talking poo if you haven’t done poo or ever really. Cam was boring as hell aside from his dumbass remarks and goofy, attention hoarding clothing. No one cares the GOAT talks more poo than a dude who just grew hair on his nuts. -
