  1. This oline is really holding back all the potential who woulda thought
  2. Man if Darnold could make better reads sometimes he could really be something, he has the arm and mobility…it’s all mental good news he’s still young, as time goes on and he gets comfy these things should come
  3. meh my view, 27 glorious inches in a luxurious 2.5 hotel while house is being renovated and yea, that is full 720P definition
  4. I think it has more to do with the schedule. Panthers play poo teams until the second half of the season.
  5. if we finish anything less than 15-1 TD will need to remind everyone he very clearly said ‘talent’, and in which case I’d rather have the results of the much lesser talented 2015
  6. not knowing we don’t have a second because we traded it for Darnold smells a little fair-weatherish tbh
  7. Lol no, sorry. Cam wasn’t having to get it out in 2 seconds in 2015 like Darnold. He had the second best oline in the league overall. And Cam was going bezerk. I’m going to disagree with this. Cam was better, the oline was hella better and the defense was just as good if not better, special teams…not even close as sad as that might be. Thing about ‘talent’ and ‘potential’ is they’re essentially meaningless, measureless words. If you want to be real TD is either full of poo or trying to hype this team up…or both. Only, single position I’ll give them is cmc…and coaching.
  8. Finally don’t have to drink beer here on the west coast at 0900 am. Lol Let’s do this!!!
  9. lol Burns is not going anywhere. He was drafted here and will play at least his first real contract here. Way too much investment.
  10. Shame we only got him for one year but, I think that was by his design not ours. He knows a longer deal would’ve cheaper him on some money and took a bet on himself. If he continues to ball out, I have no problems with the Panthers extending and paying him.
  11. Haven’t taken a sick or vacation day in almost 3 years. Told the boss this Friday is a no go, he said he already planned on it…I have Panthers crap all over my office and I’ve been talking smack about week 4 since the schedule release (he’s a Cowboy fan). I love Thursday and Monday football. Who the hell can go 6 days in between any football at all!?
  12. I agree completely. I think a win vs. the Cowboys next week will get me excited. They’re legit. If the Panthers can win that one, and despite it still being early, it would appear at that point only the Cardinals, Bills and Bucs really stand in their way. Especially the Bucs.
  13. I feel the same. Lived in Charlotte 15 years, went to college and high school there. Watched it bloom from the 90s to recent. I wasn’t born there but consider myself from there. Became a huge Panther fan. Went to 100+ games. Met lots of people, and players, even worked for players, lots of depressing nights after losses, lots of drunk nights and one night stands on game day after a big win. Great memories. But alas life comes along and I had to side with my livelihood. Had to move to the west coast over two years ago. I like parts of the west coast but there a few cities out here to grow old and really feel settled that aren’t in the damn desert (looking at you AZ and Palm Desert). I hope one day to make it back to Charlotte but it seems unlikely. Yet every football season I get to watch my Panthers out here (completely legally of course) and get to experience nostalgia and a piece of home. I’ll never stop watching/following them.
  14. Yep. How many deep shots do we have in two games. One? Two? Better question, how many should the Panthers have with Robby and DJ while CMC is taking attention? I suspect once teams adjust, have a guy who can contain CmC (the Jets didn’t have anyone close and Saints didn’t either due to Covid) in check and play man, forcing that line to block it won’t be pretty. Teams aren’t going to be putting an LB on CMC all year long.
  15. this dude is obviously fleecing the Panthers just like Okung, M Kalil, Olsen, and R Kalil at the end of his career…why does this franchise continue to fall for it? Stop fuging signing injured big men who ‘feel healthier more than ever!’ and go right to IR lol.
  16. Ehh, the 19th ranked oline and worse has made the deep playoffs like twice in 25 years. I think that’s what will hinder the Panthers. Course it was 19th last week not sure where they are now and yea they could progress as the season goes on…they’ll have to progress quite a bit. Special teams doesn’t hurt as much but yea, no kicker and crappy returns will hurt.
  17. I’m just saying…I spent a lot of time making a thread with these stats looking at the biggest common denominators for super bowl contenders since the Panthers existed. Nothing ranked more in common than a top oline except a top defense. Not even Qb play (which was 3rd). The defense is there this year, albeit only 2 games in (last year it was not), The oline is…pretty far off. If Darnold continues on this route, the only thing holding this team back is that god forsaken oline.
  18. It really depends on what you’re going by…emotions…being a fan…wishful thinking? Those are kind of inconsistent. The great thing about statistical facts are they’re surprisingly pretty damn consistent on a few common factors that are needed to make the playoffs, but more important actually win some games. There are are significant differences. Saying this was a playoff team last year with a better QB makes literally 0 factual sense. There are several statistical categories where this wasn’t possible according to (I am talking like 4 categories, not 1) never being done before in multiple decades of NFL football…I am not sure what people are thinking when they say this other than a emotional response (thinking we are so special nothing applies to us, or they really hated TB) or if by a better QB what they meant was P Manning or Mahomes, but it simply doesn’t make any sense. Hard enough to break 1 trend/record but 4? That in itself is a record. For it to happen this year, though it is only game 2, as of now all that’s needed,(from significant common statistical elements based on history) is the oline to do better. Other things will help but if you look at statistics, that’s what is needed as in, nothing in history says the team will make it being the oline ranked so horrible in quite a few categories.
  19. Ok but people generally don’t believe you’re going to break NFL history records and trends and go deep in the playoffs with the 18th ranked oline or worse. It’s been done a few times with a HOF qb in 25 years with identical metrics. That’s bold for you saying fug those stats and fug a HOF qb, we are special….but it’s asking a lot for people to follow it.
  20. Not a lot of substance here. Can you please back this up with stats and comparisons to other teams? Hint: it’s already been done here and discussed, it’s not pretty.
  21. CMC carrying the load: Told Chuba will play the last 90 seconds before imminent win:
  22. Lol Yea the Saints are always screwed by the nfl right, the dirtiest team with most PFs for years Obviously head hunting cmc the entire game with the cheap shot bullshit cause injuring players is the only way Saints have a chance It was a pathetic display.
