  1. Yea I see that. Sucks for those who had to work all day…some of us aren’t able to sit and read a Watson thread lol I am catching up.
  2. Meh, I’m not sifting through 110 pages to check…so for those who felt the same and didn’t know, I thought it was interesting.
  3. “Falcons owner Arthur Blank is fond of Deshaun Watson from the days when the former Gainesville (Ga) High quarterback worked multiple years as a Falcons’ ball boy and developed a relationship with Blank’s family,” Schefter said. Not long later, fellow ESPN reporter Dianna Russini said Watson personally reached out to the Falcons as well. “I’m told QB Deshaun Watson has interest in the Atlanta Falcons and has even reached out to the franchise personally, per source,” Russini said. https://thespun.com/nfl/afc-south/houston-texans/deshaun-watson-reportedly-meeting-with-1-more-team-this-week/amp
  4. probably should wait and see the results, still needs to build a competent team…this is a team sport after all a 4 win Watson led 2020 Texans blueprint isn’t all that appealing
  5. If Watson only wanted Carolina the entire time, why did he wave his clause for Miami? Is it not reasonable that Fit stayed back and signed guys because it was day 1 and important they were on top of the guys they wanted? Deal is done but he’s being reported to meet with more teams?
  6. Except over valuing your worth like Cam did. I don’t see an issue with it NTC. If you FO doesn’t like it don’t sign it, simple. Same for players and their contracts. But I think this is where the only issue comes in, like Watson refusing to play and demand to be traded now. He should honor the contract. It’s a shitty move, but again that’s the risk a franchise takes agreeing to a NTC. It ensures your franchise guy is happy and gives him a perk. Not everyone will be honorable but generally it’s fine and I don’t see it going away.
  7. That doesn’t mean the problem is not throwing the farm at someone, that means your FO is incompetent. Won’t win no matter what with that. This will be the third year straight Carolina has a top 10 pick. You’re adding 3 to that. I think it’s reasonable to predict those will be top half, if not top 10, picks. That’s six years worth of drafts with a high picks. Six. And you couldn’t find a QB or some sort of deal with another team to grab a guy involving less capital than Watson? Or are we to believe six years worth of QBs won’t work out? That’s some serious FO issues imo. The Panthers’ need a FO that can competently build a team including coach more than it does some Madden cheat code QB.

    The Batman

Thought it was great, best one so far imo since Keaton. Considering time period I’d probably say they were close. My favorite things were how they were close to the comic books at least more than usual. I still think Carrey would do the best riddler…but his already eccentric personality didn’t clash well with over the top writers of Batman forever. He could’ve been great. Also it was great how mortal Batman was. His tools weren’t ridiculously over the top like in the past series. He got hurt. He didn’t dodge everything at him but took them. I liked that a lot. Only thing that I didn’t like was the woke crap. Not because of ideology but because it had no place and didn’t make sense. Nothing to do with the plot at all. From the characters and catwomens line to the fact it’s a Batman movie. Hollywood just can’t help to inject this poo everywhere. My very extreme leftist friend was even like wtf does that even mean in context? It doesn’t, just obvious propaganda. Matrix was even worse but whatever.
  9. Being introvert wasn’t the problem, the problem is people think it was.
  10. No choices. Limited cap. No worthwhile player wants to come here. Poor evaluating by coaching. And finally a gutted draft. There are simply no options. Considering the state and future of the team in 2019, this is called regressing. Also known as invisible progressing according to Rhule.
  11. Gotcha. I know it was officially waived for the Dolphins but maybe that was in the time frame you are referring to last year. If this is true don’t understand a timeline for waiving a clause when trades are already happening but is what it is I guess.
  12. “An issue with having the clause waived is not anticipated, the source said.” This may sound like some crazy line of thinking…but…if there is no issue why is it not already waived?
  13. He is indeed. But just because someone likes to flirt with masseuses online and go to multiple random ones all over the country doesn’t mean this should be allowed. Don’t get me wrong it’s weird and creepy. But real victims are the ones who suffer because of these fake allegations. And this level of defamation is unacceptable. They should be sued/punished for it imo. It is very dangerous to allow it without consequence.
  14. Ehhhh, if your franchise can’t find a QB that can compete with three+ first and seconds, plus more first for any decent player…I don’t feel trading it all away to forgo any guess work (and to other extent ineptness) is going to take care of the root cause anyways. I guess we could always do it and hope for a compete team in 4-5 years and pray Watson doesn’t get butthurt and leave and also still plays at a high level. poo at the rate Rhule is going now it may be fastest. But the hope is to move on to something better.
  15. No sure you comprehend what people were saying referring to this. Actually I’m not sure you even understand what you’re saying. Percentage of grand jury influenced indictments, eventually filed by the DA are all over the place, in fact that doesn’t even make sense…based on pure number? Why? That isn’t even a factor. A factor would be like from a specific same exact jury and DA…which doesn’t exist, again, that is why this doesn’t make sense. It’s just about the evidence for each specific case. It’s the conviction part that is, 97%, SHOULD an indictment be granted by a grand jury. An indictment is not a convictions. Which makes sense, a trial is essentially a mirror of a jury. Obviously, this case didn’t get that far, or even close.
  16. Not sure if this is true. Ben is called a rapist left and right after 1. No criminal charges and 2. The only female that confirmed sex with him bragged about it to coworkers the day after and before filing a civil suit, But it is a different ‘climate’ today and Ben is not Watson. I suspect people will be condemned for calling Watson things they called Ben if we are being real.
  17. Is is interesting to see (in this day and age I guess) is that two victims have not filed civil but only criminal. Yes you can award restitution in criminal and yes a civil can (and usually recommended) be filed after the fact, but you’d think it’d be lumped in now. It’s more likely 10% of women actually care about legality of it and not the money, while we usually see more examples (obviously) of the other 90%. Watson definitely didn’t play his odds on that one, having 22 individuals with allegations. As someone who works in law I would really like to see a lot of the discovery.
  18. Personally, if things stay civil and Watson gets imposed a half season NFL punishment (conjecture), I suspect the price to be slightly lower that what Wilson commanded. I do not get the whole three firsts and seconds plus players type trade at all. The no trade clause will affect that as will competitors. Regardless, anything about At or over what was paid for Wilson will be overpaying. Something like two firsts, one second, and one player.
  19. I agree completely. Do not want. But you must realize should he not be charged criminally, which may be decided soon, (Friday or the coming week, deadline of April 1 at the latest). This is most likely a civil only matter. Also keep in mind if it does go criminal, it does not mean he will be convicted. An indictment is not a conviction. It means a case will be built and go to a plea or trial. But it’s a sign when the grand jury declares evidence worthy, it means it usually is and most importantly, gives you a peak at what a trial would result in should you not plea. On a smaller related note though, we are speaking about high paid lawyers and individuals …a lot of things can happen and have happened evident in judicial history when big money is involved. Meaning, as a civil case, the only repercussions from a team’s perspective, will be whatever punishment the NFL decides to impose on Watson, and their limits within their guidelines of something that is in fact not criminal. I have no idea what that is. And I also have no idea if sitting out last year will play into any ‘credit time served’ agreement or argument presented by Walton’s side, on his behalf, that will provide better optics from the masses on the end result (which matters quite a bit) or possibly won’t even matter at all. I’m not an expert in NFL guidelines so not sure. Watson is pleading the 5th in the civil dispositions. Which makes sense, there is absolutely no reason to testify with criminal charges looming, that is kind of a form of double jeopardy in a sense, though only technically applying to criminal cases. It is still self incrimination, and legal officials recognize that. It is not a shocking move. The fifth is generally used in civil cases to avoid self discrimination. He can plead the fifth in criminal court however this will be very unlikely, and can be overruled by the judge. It is also only applied to specific scenarios and questioning. And it can be worked around regardless. Therefore, not really a tool in criminal proceedings, only civil and testifying for a third party case(s). Some crumbs for thought.
  20. I actually agree with every single thing on there but if you notice this list is based on physical well-being. I dated a hospice nurse for a couple years. I was curious about people’s last thoughts and feelings on life. We talked about it quite a bit over two years. There was consensus on 3 things in order. 1. Worrying too much. Of course some may say on your death bed everything is irrelevant, but things are also much more clear looking back. Almost everyone wished they live life more relaxed. 2. Regret not taking more chances and risks, afraid of failure or rejections. 3. And finally my point - working too much, focusing too much on money. Not enjoying life. Point being, I find it’s either about balance of specializing. This list takes a more balance approach. For me, I specialize. I wear cheap clothes and drive a crap car. My meals are cheap. I don’t buy anything on that list and have 401. But I do spend on travel. It’s what makes me happy. It’s not something I want to regret dying. Imo, that’s the key. I’ll be perfectly fine driving a beater and crap apartment but I won’t be ok not traveling. Everyone is different. For some people it’s family, traveling to visit them, buying them things, holidays. The hardest part is finding what you won’t regret on your death bed, and focusing on that to your best extent. You have to enjoy life too, for all we know it’s all we got. On a side note I literally know a late 30 years old living with his parents with decent job and about 2 million in the bank as he has lived with them all his life, he is the most frugal person I have met. His dinner comes in a can and his car is a true POS. He says he will never change until he retires on a tropical island at 65. That’s not living to me. Hopefully he doesn’t die before then.
  21. curious what angle people on here think this scenario will somehow end better than the 4 win, Watson led 2020 Texans…what am i missing strip the team, stack the picks, and send them in with zero chance 2022. fire Rhule, draft qb, profit give up one season and you can have a better situation
  22. i don’t understand why we cannot stack picks for key players outside of Moton and Horn, tank JR 2010 style w/darnoldand get the franchise guy next year with the first pick, while having other high picks and tons of cap…and then move on from Rhule… how is this such blasphemy compared to giving up the only way to build this 5 win team for sexual predator scum…why is this the ONLY way it’s desperation from a bunch of inept morons…if you’re going to be desperate at least be smart
  23. I wouldn’t say that’s a reason for it not to be an option. Even at their state now can you confidently say the Panthers are the better team? IMO, not even close. I doubt Watson will have to wait any longer there than here for a ‘rebuild’. If you’re talking from a Seahawks perspective, Watson is only 26. It would make sense. On that related note the Seahawks were smart and stacked picks. They could trade for Watson and not be crippled. The Panthers on the other hand will struggle massively with such trade. It will be beyond crippling. Also as of now their coaching is superior. Their staff will probably change but betting it will be worse than Rhule is one I wouldn’t make. Lastly, as of now (things will change with contracts and rollovers), Seahawks have about 10 m more in cap for 2022 and a whopping 70 m more in 2023 unless I am reading something wrong. It appears the better situation is Seattle in every category. It would be a smart move for everyone involved imo.
  24. It will be presented just the jury technically has until April 1 to decide.
