just replay any game from the past half decade…missed tackles on the outside followed confusion my entire gameplan vs the Panther would consist of screens and running off the tackle
-
they’re not even remotely worried about stretching the field gee who woulda thunk it

-
Guess the panthers had their decent drive early already and are ready to fug up and do dumb poo. 2018-

He’s not a real GM. Not sure why that isn’t understood yet. But slim pickins when you’re hired in under Tepper and Rhule I’m sure.

Burns is pissed. Let’s hold off on paying him as long as possible lol

Nice to know Young falls on fumbles Don’t hate

Falcons vs Defense. It's Going to Feel Like Christmas
onmyown replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean the title says it’ll be christmas…the defense has one pass rusher and no depth whatsoever, literally an injury away from being over…don’t get me started on the DBs its not going to be Christmas is all I’m saying, it’ll be a grind -
Falcons vs Defense. It's Going to Feel Like Christmas
onmyown replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
I suspect a very boring game. Falcons are going to Titans route to success. And honestly the Panthers have been quite bad at the run game for years. Low scoring game with winner playing best 4th qtr imo -
I think most are excited but hardcore fans have become more casual and casual fans have checked out and will probably check back in if the Panthers do well. There are a couple Cam fans left surprisingly but for the most part they have completely checked out…and tbh that was a large portion of fans, they are for sure not on the forum anymore. Im fact I think a lot of fans while excited just do things out of routine or for the sake of nostalgia/memories. I use to go to most games but stopped when Tepper took over. He is by far the worst thing that has happened to this franchise. I’m going to go to a game this year but due to schedule it will have to be a late season game. And I’m not spending $500+ if the Panthers look like crap. I think most long term fans will always be fans but it’s a two way street. We can be disappointed at home much more comfortably than going to games and that’s what we have come to expect. For a while now there’s always been a reason to get excited at the beginning of every season but the result has been the same. Until otherwise, not sure what you’d expect differently.

Bump this thread when Miles Sanders is the main reason for winning
onmyown replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
You’re probably right for this year but I hope to god that’s not the plan going forward. The NFL has moved on from that for a while now. It’ll win some close games but it won’t do much to beat the best at the end of the day generally speaking. I do think our oline will be much better in the run game. And we probably won’t be competing with the best for a couple seasons minimum anyways. -
New Tennessee Titans turf...with new technology
onmyown replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I read it. The transition zone also includes Charlotte. And other stadiums. Sorry, Not buying it. It’s very expensive for sure, especially when you need to revamp things for controlled staging areas, or a half dome/retractable glass stadium cover, and even changing the type of grass depending on the season - but it’s not even close to ‘nearly impossible’ for the kind of money the league makes. Not even close. It’s just costly. Article after article it is obviously just pushing an agenda since players are speaking out. But the costs don’t outweigh profits simple as that. It should read: ‘determine the best, and safest, plan moving forward when considering costs to maintain a consistent grass field.’ Sounds like enough money was not put into maintain the grass. Surely no one is surprised by that. -
Not if you have a competent FO. If we did lord knows we should be able to replace Burns’ production with two firsts and a second. Also if your pass rush turns to zero after one player goes down…well again…the issue is the competency of the FO. Reddick is making 15m/year and just had 16 sacks. He is also mainly just a rusher. I know we didn’t have the deal for Burns at the time but it is what it is. Im just comparing production. Wish we held onto him. I don’t mind resigning Burns but he isn’t a complete DE and even supporters of a new deal should be concerned with just how much he appears to be wanting. Especially considering for years now teams have ran the ball on the Panthers with ease, ranking below average (for years) in rushing yards allowed. Again, I’m not completely against a new contract. We need Burns…albeit a little too much. But at the same time I wouldn’t have been made for them to make that trade. The Panthers would’ve won that deal. Some seem to be on either side of the fence but you can see it both ways. Which way ultimately would’ve been better is yet to be seen.

New Tennessee Titans turf...with new technology
onmyown replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seriously. ‘Titans amped up their research with data to determine the best, and safest, plan moving forward.’ What? No they didn’t. No research needed. It’s just grass. Looking at statistics from the 2018-2021 NFL seasons, Nissan Stadium had higher lower extremity injuries than each of the monofilament synthetic turfs in the league. Great. Now let’s compare to grass. Ah, don’t want to do that do we? You notice just how much the article refers to ‘mimicking grass’? Why is that? Just get grass. I’m sorry but this is a big pet peeve of mine. No one replaces real grass for turf because turf is better lol. They do it for money. It’s all for the sake of money. That’s it. To fill a multi billion revenue industries’ pockets with MORE MONEY. Money over safety. I wish they would just say that. Can’t be as mad if they’re at least honest. But we always get BS articles like this telling us something that comes close to grass is somehow the best…without explaining why, aside from cost, they don’t just do grass. Some nasty, greedy ass mofos. -
REPORT: Panthers and Brian Burns not at all close to extension
onmyown replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We should have traded him for a shitload of picks. He said he did not want to play here and egotistical business man JR thought he could convince him and at least buy him like a dumbass. So he was tagged. The first half+ of games he played the year he was tagged he literally walked through plays. Until I think it was Thomas Davis who called him out big time. Magically after that he became his usually monster player. Then after the season he just left. Zero compensation. It was comical. This is how an egotistical owner, especially a hands on one, ruins a team. Tepper os even worse than JR, and I never thought I’d say that. -
Meh, Burns will be completely wasted without anyone to take attention off him. If he has a down game or is taken out by the opposing team, the defense has already lost. Same story with CMC and the offense. And we remember comments that no that we have Young we can focus on defense lol. He has little to no weapons. Panthers love replying on one player/dimensions all the time for some reason. Signs of a poor franchise. Would be nice to have to competency to get out of that pattern.

But the moron who hired that moron and paid him like a moron and gave a college coach that kind of control like a moron is still calling the shots. It’s weird how this doesn’t bother people as much as Rhule being here did. Personally, I see the issue/plague still here until I see otherwise.
-
The idiots he hired wasted resources. He is a hands on owner and wants the credit and doesn’t understand he’s incapable. Everything comes back to him as such. Are you dumb? You’re a the owner can do no wrong poster and just insult other posters when they call out their BS. Why don’t you ignore people who disagree with you in that the FO is always making the best decisions and never to blame? This question doesn’t need and answer.

every year we have the same sunshine crowd coming in here pumped up expecting playoffs, claiming everything the panthers do is gold, and telling people they’re so negative and to be optimistic fans if they’re fans at all and yet every year we have the same exact sunshine crowd disappearing in early October when the team isn’t doing so well and/or not on track to the playoffs. typical casual fans - only understanding wins vs a team needing to be built and the positives/optimism won’t come in the form of a w/l record this year now is their season, let them have their moments. Tepper better watch out though, that crowd is getting smaller and smaller as the years go by and that’s where the money is
-
Lol this franchise is a straight joke. i really wish Tepper cared less about taking credit, didn’t treat this team like a toy, and got out of the way
-
I’ll disagree. Darnold has superior talent and plays much better. We’ve seen it. Granted we are arguing top of the poo pile, but still there is a reason PJ was on practice squads and XFL instead of on a team until Rhule came in with his Temple favoritism BS. Honestly though, and hence the dinosaur comment, Wilks probably doesn’t give a poo who is QB. We wants to win games 10-7. It’s why he can be a HC in todays league and neither can Rivera. Personally I have no faith in Reich either. People want to complain about a round peg in a square hole mentality and that’s Reich offensively. However he has surrounded himself with excellent, young coordinator and coaching talent. Part of me feels he knows he needs it. Which in and of itself is why he is a at least a slightly better dinosaur to me. We shall see.

Wilks the dinosaur thought PJ Walker was better than Darnold… no thanks.
