  1. I’ll never forget Norwell sitting on the bench and not even given a chance until injury. Then went on to be the top paid guard in the NFL lol...that’s a serious issue IMO. Shouldn’t take a decade. But hey, least he’s owning up to it. That, adjustments and time management were his biggest issues. If he is willing to learn and do better he could be a great coach.
  2. Sand would be most entertaining. Few patches of quick sand here and there would turn up the excitement as well.
  3. My buddy is a die hard 49ers fan and he knew as soon as the trade happened it was Lance. I guess it makes sense, you make that kind of trade for the biggest ceiling, not who is going to look/come in better.
  4. As I said besides shitty weapons and shitty qb play, yes, stats, history and ranks compared to the rest of the NFL say otherwise.
  5. TB was checking down under a much worse oline and a defense who always made him play catch up without a HB to make a difference. No doubt TB sucks, no one is disputing that. But Cam was simply throwing balls in the dirt with great protection, decent HB play, whether his shitty weapons were finally open or he was checking down or not. And a defense/ST that rarely put him behind. Difference is Cam has way more potential than TB if he can get over his injury, no one is disputing that either. In fact Cam has so much potential, you’ll see it even if his weapons suck. 2015 obviously.
  6. Lol no, he wasn’t. Other than weapons Cam was given a playoff caliber team and coaching easy. One of the best olines in the NFL, too 10 defense 7th in points allowed...best special teams in the NFL. TB preformed better with better weapons sure (aside from RB), but also with a god awful team all around and a back up RB compared to Cam and a new college coach. Yea, no, sorry. As much as you patriot cam fans don’t want to admit it, cam was just as much of a problem in NE as his shitty receivers.
  7. A good post, unfortunately our oline isn’t much to post about. Paradis admitted late last year his injury is still hindering him. Big mean don’t heal - especially at his age. Fact is the line is looking pretty bad. Panthers have neglected it for so long. Well maybe not neglect, but have made horrible moves there. That’s probably worse. As important as the line is, I see it still a couple years away from being playoff caliber. Given the top teams to make the playoffs every year also so happen to have the top olines...it’s not looking good. My main issue with the line last year was consistency. Easily the worst 3/4 quarter oline in the NFL. Except the Jets. The oline can be average but will have to be average for an entire game.
  8. Objectively would technically mean actually seeing results. That’s why it’s speculation. What quantifiable results from playing in the NFL do you have to say they knocked the draft out of the park? None. It really isn’t that complicated. Please don’t be the one making ‘Fire everyone!’ threads during the season when in fact the draft may not turn out to be the best of all time ever.
  9. With the amount of drafts picks Rhule likes, his style is just to weed them out. Unlike past regime who would gives years and years to show something I have no doubt Rhule will be quick to cut slackers and inadequates. Anyone that doesn’t work out will be an accumulated pick next year via Fit. The whole ‘the more players/picks you have to choose from the better’ mantra Rhule has. Which is a good and bad thing. It’s good because you’re not wasting time, if you’re good at it, it will be very effective in a very short amount of time. The bad, if you keep on passing up superior talent to feeding your ego thinking 2-3 picks turning out to be duds will be better than picking a better possible stud it’s going to get old real quick. Only time will tell.
  10. My neighbor literally has .30 acres of straight turf no joke, even in the front. He is disabled so I get it and it does look great in winter lol. But as a whole...no bueno.
  11. that one receiver from the giants that didn’t do poo for a whole fuging season except make an unbelievable catch that won the home prime time game against the Patriots and I got to see Brady run off the field literally crying which made me cry think it started with an H
  12. What events can you have on turf but not grass, honest question... I’d really like to know, other than cost, how this benefits the players. You’re not in an extreme climate, growing grass should be pretty damn easy.
  13. Yes sir. Went on a cruise, got one gold and one STFB. $110.00 for both. Been savoring them ever since can’t seem to find any in stores now that they’re ‘legal’, but I think there is still a cap on proof depending on where you live. Time for another cruise soon as it’s feasible. Keep em in the cabinet if they’re newish, I find about the 3 year mark from dump they are so much better...of course they’re already great.
  14. Single barrel Blanton’s on the rocks. Straight From the barrel and gold edition. Delish.
  15. Well yea, compared to arguably the worst ranked oline in the NFL the past few years no one can deny being ranked on average 18th over that time isn’t better. Doesn’t mean it’s good. And fact is the 18th ranked oline or worse made the playoffs a few times in two decades and the ones that did, had a HOF qb...pretty far from Darnold or really any typical QB. Nothing stat wise indicates the line has been even average for the past few years... 18: 17 19: 18 20: 18 Take away Moton and you’re competing for the Jets. One player in a 5 man squad. That’s context to two things. 1. How good Moton is 2. How awful the rest of the line is. More context pertaining to last year, when the oline played above average quarter 1-2 and probably played the worst in the league quarters 3-4. Take what you want from that. More context, Cam’s average oline over his career ranked better than last year, with almost a half second longer release time/qb rushing... Lol And some more context, out of starting QBs who had at least 400 pass attempts, which is 21 QBs (TB 492), TB ranked third in time to release at 2.6 seconds and still got sacked 36 times. That is laughable, no QB with around that release time got sacked even near that amount. Finally, Cam and TB were injured due to a horrid line. Unless one thinks the oline is the absolute worst in the NFL, it’s damn near impossible to think our oline is worse than it is. I still laugh at the morons who think the line is fine, and we will be one of the few teams in 20 years to go anywhere without making changes, just breaking those NFL records and trends. Granted there are only a few...for a reason. The oline blows.
  16. I think Curtis is irrelevant given the talent Darnold has. But the fact the oline is still straight trash for the most part and the Panthers did pass up players and traded down, I see not problem with this article...as someone already said only time will tell. Problem is all you homers only concur with any article saying everything was a masterpiece without actually see the results. That’s what’s going to flood the forums with knee jerk doomsday threads when poo hits the fan and it becomes apparent one offseason won’t fix issues like 36 sacks allowed in a season.
  17. Same. I got offer for $125k over what I paid for my house exactly one year ago lol. Only out about 5k worth of repairs in it. Course I am not in NC. But just like you said I’d have no where to go where my profit wouldn’t really matter. Seriously debating taking it and just living in an apartment for 1-2 years until this settles and have 100k+ in the bank. My realtor said to hang tight, he’s thinking it’ll cap during that time around another 25%ish increase.
  18. Patriots 2020 defense: Points per game: 22.1 (7th) Total yards allowed: 5660 (15th) They weren’t the best but the Patriots sucked because of shitty weapons and shitty QB play. Everything else (oline (ranked 4th in the NFL), special teams (ranked 1st in the NFL), coaching, defense) was playoff caliber.
  19. It really is. Have the Panthers ever made the playoffs without decent LT play? I know they’ve never made it without a top oline. Yet here we are. I like Christianson but he played garbage competition and had top oline coaching. And Erving? Really? Lol It‘ll be patchwork with Scott and the rookie’s learning curve and it will be ugly. Moton at LT seems like blasphemy to this organization for some reason.
  20. As someone a few hours outside of Vegas this is the only time I get to see my Panthers and not drive 12+ hours. I looked it up soon as I moved here. I really hope this bullshit goes down...I assume it will, I mean we’re talking years away. When I went to the Falcon game in Atlanta in 2017 at the end of of the season I believe that was the first year it opened and I got two club seats on the 40 for $300 ish.
  21. I should think our 4 year vet Qb can outmatch a rookie on a worse team full of rookies and first year coaching staff. If the Panthers win I wouldn’t even blame the Jets, they’re at stage 1 rebuilding....on the other hand... I feel like a loss will be a really really bad sign for the rest of the season for the Panthers.
  22. There HAS to be a better place...Wofford? Really?
  23. I’m not in Charlotte anymore but plan on moving back in the future. I would much rather have a pro MLB team than this soccer crap. That said baseball on the TV is pure torture. Maybe it’s nostalgia but I love actually going to the games so this sounds good to me. Really wish they’d cut down the number of teams and ridiculous number of games and up the stakes/talent/quality to make it more enjoyable...but revenue.
