I remember those reports even after the reports of the charges came out, but are you saying you've heard personally from someone inside that they are negotiating with him as well? If so, what is your feeling about what will happen?

So Goodell almost entirely ruined our season, basically strung us out due to Hardy's cap number and forcing us to suspend him, cost Hardy a season of his career because he's an asshole... ANNNNND, where are all the White Knights defending Holder? The ones that without a sliver of a doubt KNEW she was a victim, simply because she said so? What a joke. Good to see she is principled person that wants to see justice served for the crimes she suffered... Oh wait, that's right, she didn't... She manipulated the system, had the cops arrest the very man that called them to come remove her crazy ass from his home, and is now walking away with what she wanted all along, including when she was with him... A PAYDAY. Our front office would be idiots to not at least try to retain Greg, even if it's just to keep him away from a division rival. I really hope they at least explore it. At the very least, we have to tag him and trade him for value.

Do I need to have watched BB in order to watchand/or get this show? I watched the first 45 mins or so last night and it was really good... I stopped at the part where he made the plan with the skateboarders at the intersection.

I do wonder now if it was Carroll or Wilson responsible for it now though... But the point remains, because supposedly a lot of their locker room problems were between Wilson and Lynch... But in Wilson's presser, he just said something along the lines of "we came out in a formation with the chance to pass," with it pretty ambiguous as to whether he was saying it was a called pass play, or a formation that he audibles into a pass play with. I know ultimately whoever called the play did it to win, but I still wonder if those underlying issues affected the decision.

I heard his interview SZ, but it made absolutely no sense to me. The windows are so much smaller and there is so little space when you're that close to that goalline. The risks of throwing it there are significantly greater than the reward that could be had by just running Lynch three times in a row, IF THAT.

Idk... I just saw the Lynch Extension thread now. Thats news to me because from the regular league news guys throughout the season, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion that they were cutting him after the season. Regardless of whether that was the case, I still think the constant back and forth throughout the year (the interviews, hold muh dicks, Wilson's race debate, Harvin trade reaction, etc.) could have had an influence on that call.

I have to wonder... There were issues bubbling between the organization, and specifically Carroll, since training camp. Add to that the fact that Lynch repeatedly brought more unwanted attention for the Hawks as the year went on with his interviews and gestures. I like Lynch myself, but I just think this was a constant battle of one-upmanship between he and the organization. Now, coming full circle tonight... Once Lynch didn't get in on the first down and Carroll had time to think about it, I think he weighed out whom he would rather get the shine in this win... Because no doubt, as confident as Carroll is, I think he was sure that they would win regardless of the playcall. Did he want to go the rest of the offseason with everyone talking about how Lynch won them the Superbowl and they cut him? Or would he rather everyone admonish Wilson with love as the franchise qb who won them their second Superbowl in row? Otherwise, I just can't understand why or how you make any call but giving it to Lynch there.

Although Gronk is a meathead and plays for the Pats, it goes against every natural inclination, but I find him to be a cool ass dude. Same for Marshawn. I think they both are hilarious.

Lol Thanks so much bro! Yeah I definitely have to clean out my pm box but it's hard to navigate on mobile and I don't use my computer enough to remember to do it when I do. Regardless, it is much appreciated and I never took it personal. We are united as brothers in this thing called fantom! Much health, success, and prosperity to us all (including our teams lol) in 2015! -

Okay, okay, a Hornets forum on a Panthers board lol. Sorry KG, I've grown to respect Kobe's game over the years, but I'll always hate his guts for shunning Charlotte and just for being an overall asshole, jmo. -

Oops, shouldve fact checked that one, but you're right, the point remains the same... The teams MJ had with the Wiz had no business sniffing 30 wins, and in all honesty, he shouldn't have played those years himself as it was clear he hadn't prepared to play with his conditioning. But, he carried them and they still ended up with a respectable record each year. IIRC, only players outside of MJ I can remember from those teams were Chris Whitney, Popeye Jones, a rookie Rip Hamilton before he became Rip of Pistons lure, and of course all-world Kwame Brown. Wow, those teams were really bad. -

Lol Kobe, calling people soft... I think Chris Childs has something to say about that lol. Idc how bad of teams Jordan was on, they never sucked like this. He's a fabrication... He wants to be Jordan and isnt. Jordan took the fuging Wizards to winning records lol as an overweight geriatric with bad knees... -
I don't know about you guys, but I would absolutely love to be labeled a woman beater, regardless of the facts, and sully my reputation while incurring criminal charges to my name, just so I can get paid for one year while doing nothing.

Have at it...

True, but see the post below yours regarding Ginn. That is why, even with his drops, he was so invaluable. The Pats play is the perfect example... a routine curl route and he DID catch it, turns upfield and makes other grown men look like they're all stuck on treadmills. Add to that, he filled three roles in one roster spot. Now, we're scrambling to see if we can fill that void with multiple people who probably won't do what he did as well as he did it. 11 mil was affordable. As far as Mitchell, I LOVED him. One of my favorite players on last season's team. I even made a thread about him being the "tone setter" of the defense. While I still feel he won't be replaced because of his ability to come down in the box, lay huge hits, AND his range in pass defense, Decoud is a serviceable guy to step in. I really don't have much hope for Roman Harper and don't think he'll provide much for us.
-
I didn't say we COULD. I said I knew it wasn't possible to keep ALL of them, but those were two guys that we had to ensure that we gave our best effort to keep. And honestly, if we would've made a fair offer during the season to either, it wouldn't have costed that much to keep them. And hindsight is 20/20, but as much as I love Hardy, putting the tag on him and neither extending him nor trading him is pretty stupid, ESPECIALLY if the plan is to let him walk after this season anyway. Some of the moves made this offseason just seemed to lack any and all signs of planning and/or preparation. Oh well, we'll see what we have...
-
I posted this in another thread, but I'll leave it here as well... As most know, I was pretty upset about the guys we let go during the offseason. I know it wasn't possible to keep all of them, but IMO, Ginn and Mitchell were priorities. I still feel we aren't going to replace either of them with anyone currently on this roster. My impression from reading some of the recaps herd is that even "fast" guys like Underwood and Philly Brown still aren't Ginn-fast. And that sucks...

I've been meaning to ask, but it's likely not all that relevant here, but isn't his father in law enforcement?

Out of all the possibilities I laid out in my first post here, I did t expand on my last one... and that is IF he did indeed assault her. The old adage comes to mind, "money doesn't change people, it just makes them more of who they already were." And if this is true, which i'm hoping it's not, then Hardy just got more out of control.
-
And @ TheRed, i've never understood the desire to push CJ out... I thi k people have been resentful since he got the big contract. I think we did what it took to keep him and he is still a great player, plus it kept him from becoming a divisional opponent.
-
He also looks a bit toasted in the mugshot. Not good.

Just saw this, so forgive me if anything else has come out... but, it's VERY possible that it could be accusations by an angry/scorned woman, knowing it would potentially ruin things for him. You all do know Floyd Mayweather went to jail for simply snatching a phone out of his woman's hand? Didn't hit her or anything, but that was good enough for assault. When there is money at stake, thr athlete is put in a vulnerable situation. If this is BS, had Greg just been a washout 6th rounder, no one would even care to press a fake charge on him - again, if that's the case here. OR He may have done something in actuality... but, the problem here is interpretation. Doesn't simple assault include "arguing"? Let the facts come out.
