  1. Omg, if we just rated all that to get a fuging tackle, I give up...
  2. If we traded our 2nd,3rd, and 6th and take Devin fuging funchess,im suspending myself.
  3. Welp, that didn't take long... Devin Smith gone... Edit:WE JUST TRADED UP!!! IT'S GOTTA BE JALEN STRONG!!!
  4. I hadn't posted for two hours. Why does it bother you that not everyone wants to give gettleman a backrub for every single move he makes? I never said Thompson won't be good. I don't like the pick. In my mind, even if he comes out and kills it from start to finish, I still won't be a fan of the pick because a guy we actually needed (not wanted) was taken 4 spots later. I'm honestly tired of talking about it myself... And that's because he has severely neglected WR in both FA and the draft for two years. Great, he got us KB... He also got us Cotchery, Avant, Demario Presley (lol), Bersin (lol), Underwood ( lol), and Boykin (lol). I purposely left Philly off the list because he actually has a viable chance of being an NFL player. That is not addressing WR. For a man renowned for all of his experience and football knowledge, how the f*CK can you possibly sign that list of guys and believe it when you tell people it'll work? You signed career slot guys and #4s and tell people you can just plug them in and they'll work like anyone else, lol. It is mind-blowingly dumb. When we signed Cotch and Avant, I told everyone that espoused all the great things about them and cited cotch's 10 tds in the season before, that they were great in the appropriate role... Which is as situational guys out of the slot as a 3 or 4. It is not acceptable. It's like taking a guy's Lamborghini and then coming back and giving him a Pinto and saying, "don't worry, it drives, it'll do the same thing." Look, I'll say this to everyone who seems to take it personal anytime someone doesn't agree with gettleman or his moves... Do you think I enjoy bitching and moaning about WR? Do you all personally think I can't wait to get on here and rain on your non-stop high-five parade? You think it's because I know you love gettleman and I apparently he hate him, so I can't wait to come troll you guys? Lol... No, man... I've been here since 2004,and I'll be here until I leave this Earth old and grey - if we're not all communicating through a cloud or some poo by then lol. I'm a Panthers fan for better or worse. I'm bitching because I want what's best for my team, and imo, ignoring WR is a fatal flaw on a team that's very close to being a contender. I don't hate gettleman. I've hated some of the moves he's made, but I've also praised many he's made. Believe me, if he drafts 3 WRs through tonight and the weekend, I will be in complete chill mode. Now, if those WRs suck when the regular season comes around, then I'll point out that we should've signed a vet WR for reinforcement, but odds are, we will hit on at least one if we took three. That's all I'm asking... Address the position with speed and skill... Not that aforementioned pinto. We don't need a lambo, but at least give us a viper lol, and maybe some challengers and mustangs. I promise you, I don't enjoy complaining. I'm only complaining because this is a board we share as fans of the same team, and these are my concerns that I feel hold our team back. If gettleman addresses WR thoroughly, I feel our team will be complete going into the season... Any changes needed from there would be extremely minor and easily fixable.
  5. They're not the only ones saying it. I just thought that write-up reflected my opinion of the pick also...
  6. From what I recall, KB was almost universally and unanimously going to us in 99% of mocks out there prior to the draft. Plus, we had ZERO talent at WR going into that draft. He was projected where he went and we had no choice. Shaq wasn't even projected in the first by most pundits and he doesn't have a natural position. With as bad as WR is for us, if we took a WR, whoever we drafted at 25 would've stepped in immediately as our #2 and made huge contributions. Instead we took a tweener that lacks instincts without a true position on an already loaded defense. If he was the BPA, we must not have offense on our big board for the first round. From ESPN:
  7. The thing that gets me, if we were so enamored with him, we could've traded back and picked up another pick in the process. The only team I'd see gambling on him outside of us would've been New England. 25 was a huge reach.
  8. Just stating my opinion... It's pointless to argue about it,but you know the continued neglect in addressing WR is a sore spot for me. My issue is there is no sense of balance between offense and defense. We're collecting a surplus of defensive guys for no apparent reason, despite it being our biggest strength already... Especially the front seven. We went into FA with WR being the biggest need, and here we are, in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft and nothing has changed except we have a surplus of talent at LB and DB, despite that being our biggest strength going into FA. Oh well...
  9. People also seem to forget that it took TD several years to develop into a starter-level player. And TD was, IMO, a much better football player with better natural instincts. Whether you hate the pick or love it, really doesn't matter... He's probably going to be forced to start and play regardless.
  10. Between their 12 wins and coming within a game of the Superbowl, AGAIN.
  11. Interesting, when we picked him, Mayock was almost speechless. He audibly said, "oh..." followed by a long pause and the shortest breakdown of any of the prospects I saw. That's pretty much how I felt. It'll be fun to come back in a few years and compare his level of production to that of say, Philip Dorsett, taken 4 picks later.
  12. Yeah, like I said, he reminds me of AP, and if that guy is there, the only reason I'm not taking him is if I have Barry Sanders or Jim brown in their prime, lol. Can't blame them, just seems kind of weird when they have a lot of other needs.
  13. Damn, forgot they took him last season... And I thought he was pretty good... That's crazy.
  14. I'm not gonna lie, I really think Vic Beasley is gonna be a problem in the pros. I really liked him... But, I'm not too worried about him. He's primarily a pass rusher, and we made it through how many years of John Abraham? We'll be fine.
  15. Wow... Gurley went top 10??? Damn. I saw him going in the teens, but not at 10. Well, like I said, Gurley reminded me of AP, so you can't put a value on that... If he was healthy, he probably would've been the #1 overall or taken right after the QBs.
  16. Idk how they can be excited about anything knowing that.
  17. Surprised Bears passed up Beasley. I think Falcons are gonna take him.
  18. "Jameis, you are the #1 pick in the NFL Draft. What does it feel like right now?" "I've waited a long time to say this... ... "F*CK HER RIGHT IN THE PUSSY!!!"
  19. looks like he's repping Hornets nation too! Love TD!
  20. Also, was wondering if anyone watched the Jennings/Klitschko fight? Jennings is amazing! Only 6 years fighting and he won rounds against Klitschko... I was hoping for a rematch, as I think Wilder already ruined his chances against him after agreeing to spar with him. Also hyped for the upcoming Golovkin fight... That dude is a beast, that we haven't seen the likes of since tyson in his prime, he is also hilarious - "What did you see in there from your opponent Triple G?" "Uhh, he was a good boy, but I like to bring major drama show. I fight like Mexican. But, he's a good boy." "Thank you, Triple G."
  21. Man, I kept wondering where we were going to have a thread for this at? lol... Then i found there already was one. People can say what they want... Honestly, boxing might be my 3rd favorite sport behind football and basketball. I don't know all of the rankings and such, nor do I expect anyone except commentators who are paid to cover it, know it. That's one of the problems with boxing, the utter confusion and disorganization of it all. That being said, it is a beautiful and yet, violent sport. I love it. I watch as much as I can, anywhere I can. ESPN2's FNF, HBO, Showtime, Foxsports' Goldenboy promotions, etc. If I wasn't already 30, I would want to find a ring somewhere and get into it myself, lol. Anyway, there are so many good fighters out there, the problem is the promotion of the sport and all he hands in the cookie jar, so to speak... So many of them aren't known like they should be, like say, if it was the 80s, these guys would be superstars. That's why I'm happy they started those Premier Boxing Nights on NBC, CBS, and other network channels with legit boxers in primetime. The sport needs exposure like it used to get, and it would easily surpass MMA again. All that being said, I have no idea who I want to win... I like each guy for different reasons... I like Floyd for his brashness, cockiness, being an asshole, and his unorthodox defensive-fighting style. I like Manny for his humility, his faith, his heart, and his workrate in he ring... He loves to put pressure on guys and just keeps coming. So, it's a tough call... I think it's one of those things where I won't really know until they get in the ring. Part of me is hoping for Money to break that longest-undefeated streak, but then another part of me is hoping he gets beat and doesn't reach it and it makes him hungrier. He's good for the sport... As you can see from all of this surrounding hype. I'll be watching at my cousin's house, as he is a diehard Money fan and has bought all of his PPVs for as long as I can remember.
