  1. Yup, didnt know he had tweeted this when I created the thread, but when I heard him specifically state "bones," and not "bone" on the show this morning, I had a feeling it wasn't just gonna be a few weeks. Still hoping that's the worst case scenario and we get some more encouraging news once they look at it... Also, sounded bad even in the post-game speech, the team sounded pretty down and Rhule as well. When he addressed them, he mentioned CMC and Horn went down and Horn was in the other room "hurting," so he asked the other players to spread some positivity to those guys.
  2. Was watching GMF on NFLN on the re-air, and Rapaport specifically stated Horn broke "bones," as in plural, in his foot. He also said we should know more about the severity of CMC's hamstring later today. So, I'll use this as a place holder for when we get an update on both or either, and hopefully it's all good news!
  3. Yup, the Jameis sack where he threw it backwards. That is the 2nd one that refs have stolen from Burns that I can remember. The other one was the second strip sack against Herbert last year. I dont know who was in on the sack last night that they rules an incomplete pass, but again, I don't see that happen to other teams. I almost wanted Rhule to throw the challenge flag just to get our guys that sack lol.
  4. All the NFL cares about is their bottom line. They are behind those calls and points of emphasis. They are influenced by both storylines and betting and call games as such, that's why complaining won't do anything. They ask the officials to call the game in these ways... if the NFL didn't do poo about SB50, then they ain't doing poo about last night. You just have to hope that one day, of we get the chance to play meaningful playoff games again, that we're the better team and the NFL doesn't decide to intervene to produce a better storyline for one of their darlings.
  5. TBH, people just need to accept this is who he is now. His frame was a concern coming out of college and people questioned whether he would be able to run between the tackles or be a featured every down back bc of it. Well, he went out of his way to prove he could his first couple of years, and he took a beating in doing so. That concern about his frame, although he defied the odds early, may have been legitimate, bc it appears his frame can't hold up to that much cumulative damage. I hope he isn't forever bitten by the injury bug now, but he's gonna have to stay healthy to change my mind, and it's not looking good... I dont think these injuries are one-offs, like we thought with each one last season... I think his body is just showing the delayed effects of the mileage incurred his first few years. We need to start preparing like he isn't available and be pleasantly surprised if he is, from here on out.
  6. I don't think people truly get how impressive it is that both Burns and Reddick are averaging a sack a game lol. AND, the refs even robbed us of another sack and forced fumble at the end of the game when they called it an incomplete pass. Also, saw a stat last night in the FS1 ticker that we allowed the fewest yards through 3 games since the '92 Buddy Ryan-led Eagles. Incredible.
  7. That actually doesn't sound encouraging at all. If it was just a simple strain, then why would we even be talking about the season to begin with? But, the injury itself did not look severe, so who knows what's going on? We've seen guys pop their hammy and go down immediately. But, CMC finished the run and walked off under his own power without even limping. My belief was, from watching it in real-time, that it wasn't severe and that the lengthy stay in the tent was bc CMC wanted to go back out but the staff had to talk him out of it. I figured Rhule decided to hold him out to protect him from himself and hope the extended rest until next Sunday will help him get back quicker. At least that was my hope.
  8. No joke we need to activate Shi and go 4 wide with 1 back. CMC is tough to stop, but so is not knowing where the ball is going with a field full of WRs who can easily get open.
  9. Not what I was saying. CMC is tough to gameplam for, and obviously hard to stop. But, we have enough skilled playmakers on this team that that should be just as difficult to plan for, in its own unique way. If I'm a DC, I'd much rather have to gameplan to stop one RB/WR rather than having to limit touches for 3 capable WRs, 2 RBs, and a couple TEs. TBH, we really need to get out of this mindset that our offense is best running through one guy. It effectively ended Cam's career, and CMC isn't on a good track currently either. Look at the successful teams in the league over the last decade or so that are in the playoffs consistently. They have great QBs, surrounded by well-rounded, talented casts. TB now, Seattle, LAR, BAL, SF, PIT, NO, etc., None of those teams have a touch-dominant player on the level of CMC that isn't the QB. NO is about the only team close with Kamara, but they even had Ingram and Murray with him, so he wasn't overworked. TEN is the only real exception with Derrick Henry, but that truly is an aberration because he is built like an effing tank with speed we've never seen before at that position and size. I know CMC wants to dominate the touches, but look where it's getting him and us. It's time to shift that mentality for his longevity and our success. When he's out there, great, we have a mismatch everytime to take advantage of when we need it. But, him being out there 99% of the plays and force feeding him is not a formula for long-term success. We need to keep Sam upright and distribute the ball more efficiently. Robby needs more targets. TMJ, too. Spread the offense out and open up the run game as well. The blueprint has been there... that's much harder to stop, imo, than having to plan for one guy who may or may not finish the game bc he's running himself into the ground, no matter how talented he is when healthy. We've seen this movie before, and it didn't end well for the star.
  10. I was also thinking it's blessing, not just because Sam can't rely solely on CMC anymore, but because now, defenses don't have that one guy to key on... it makes it harder for them to gameplan. If we can spread the offense out and open things up with the ball getting distributed more efficiently and in turn, open up the run game, it could really help us in ways we couldn't have ever imagined... then we will really be clicking by the time CMC comes back.
  11. Selfishly, as a fan, I love it because it feeds that football fix every 4 days, but when it's your team on the end of all the injuries, I'm all for nixing it myself. We lost our offensive superstar and our #1 draft pick on defense in the same night bc of this bulllshit. And I definitely think it's even tougher on the road team in these games... but, yeah, tonight was enough for me. At least push it to Fridays and give them one more day of treatment and such... for all the fun and entertainment these games provide, it just isn't worth all the players that are lost to injury.
  12. He's better than Rashad Melvin, but last I heard the Bucs were on the verge of signing him. He'd probably go there, especially if the money is relatively close.
  13. Yup, I was gonna say the same thing... maybe the only brightside is, as high as they were on KT, he's gonna have a much bigger role and learn a lot more on the fly now in Horn's absence.
  14. I'm also really getting tired of the officials robbing our guys of sacks... this has been going on for two straight years, starting with them overturning Burns' strip sack on Herbert. Now this... an incomplete pass when dude was in a human straightjacket and couldn't even lift his arms? Go fug yourselves zebras.
  15. Wow, Freeman never even extended lol. He would've had it.
  16. Whew. Still sucks, but nowhere near as bad... he could still come back in a few weeks depending where in the foot the break is.
  17. Yeah, and in the ones I've witnessed in sports before, guys usually fall and know something is wrong, but still try to get back up bc they just feel a pop, but not sure what it was... he fell and didn't even try to get up and wouldn't out weight on it, which is what makes me think its more foot or ankle related. Kobe said when his popped, he turned and asked Harrison Barnes (I think), if he had kicked his foot and then tried to get up. Of course, no one had touched him and he went and shot his free throws before leaving the game.
  18. I know. Thats why I'm really hoping it's not... I was hoping more like a break in a small bone in the foot or something... but the way he just fell and immediately waved to the sideline didn't look good at all.
  19. They won't do anything because these agendas to influence the games in specific ways is coming from the NFL themselves. As I've said for as long as I can remember - anytime big money is involved, anything can be corrupted. Seeing poo like tonight legit made me have horrific flashbacks to Superbowl 50 and realizing that none of our team's hardwork or accomplishments meant anything, because I was watching everything our guys worked for just stolen from us, right in front of our very eyes, and there was nothing we could do about it. I felt so sick and violated. We knew what was happening, and we couldn't do anything to stop it, no matter what we tried.
  20. Update: Panthers CB Jaycee Horn diagnosed with broken foot - Jeremy Fowler http://espn.com/app Old: Can we ever catch a fuging break? I figured it was bad, but was hoping it was a sprain or break...
  21. NGL, I'm proud of Sam. He has bounced back from those 1st half flubs in the 1st half and he has stood in there and made some incredible throws and manipulated the pocket well. Great work, keep it up, Sam!
