Well, I think if you benched either one the OL would've improved markedly, I just happened to think Miller is by far the worst of the interior three.

The drag route drop was absolutely indefensible. Every other one he has had today he had to completely lay out for it.

If Erickson had any speed to speak of, he would've had that ball and not contacted until the 50 yard line. I wasn't even mad at that. It was needed and probably the best throw Sam has made all day. Robbie just had to lay our for it because he was being held 20 yards downfield. That next play was atrocious, though. Everyone was locked up, like they already knew exactly what we were running.

I agree, but even with DJ's physicality, one thing that always worked in Smitty's favor on those was he had a ridiculously low center of gravity and contact strength/balance, so a lot of times he could take that first hit in stride. If DJ caught that one, he had 2 defenders crashing downhill on where he was headed. It was unlikely he would dodge both of them.

Yeah, a lot of huddlers seem to just be waiting for an opportunity to pounce on Robbie, I suspect because they didn't like him getting that extension. A dude doesn't blow up like he did last week if they aren't trying and don't care about winning. The pick thrown to him last week and the one to start today's game should have never been thrown. They are 100% on Brady and Darnold. If you're throwing late to the sideline, you better get you tackling shoes on. There was nothing Robby could do on these passes.

That pass had no shot even if it was completed. Horrible decision by Sam. Trying to get DJ knocked out.
