They really don't have much of a choice. He has almost all of the leverage. Sure, they could just threaten to sit him another year, but he's hamstringing them still because that's just a ton of deadcap getting eaten up for a player that isn't even active. If we woo him and he says this is where he wants to go, they will have to acquiesce. I'm also hoping the same kind of magic that Pat Stewart pulled off with his former peers in NE with thr Gilmore trade will kick in with Caserio here, and we'll be able to get a little bit of a discount compared to what's been reported.

I've been saying, replace one of those marquee names with an extra high pick. I'd throw them an additional 2nd for Burns and Chinn each, if that's what it takes. We have two proven commodities in them, so we need to keep them if at all possible. I'd even be more comfortable with giving up Jaycee. I think he's a phenomenal player, but the foot injury scares me a bit and he still is fairly unproven as he only played in 3 games as a rookie. But anyway, I'm thinking 3 1sts, 3 2nds, and a 3rd, plus Brown. CMC, Darnold. It also needs to be considered, this is a #6 overall pick in the 1st this year. That's crazy value alone.

I thought he's missed quite a bit of time since signing that big deal with JAX. Don't get the feeling he's the same player, but he'd still be 100x better than what we've had. I'm kind of wondering why we haven't heard much about Saffold, myself.

I dont see it. Maybe 2 teams max. After how his time in Houston ended, I doubt he wants them having any real say in the issue. I think he's only gonna waive it for one team, so we have to get it right.

I wonder if he's committed to visiting all the teams interested, or can he be wooed from the jump? If so, we need to pull out all the stops and try to do everything in our power to keep him from making the next visit.
