  1. Wait... we released Clay, too? I just saw the OL guys put on IR and waiving Freeman. Wow. Not that he was great or anything, just didn't see it.
  2. As I mentioned in my reply to mav, I wouldn't expect news of it to come from our staff... I would expect we would've heard it reported though. But, I agree, if I was Cam I wouldn't come back here with this staff.
  3. I wouldn't expect to hear it from them either, but I have no doubt it would be reported if it happened.
  4. I've thought about this as well, but in the very least I would like if the staff reached out to him and inquired, but no doubt, if I was him I wouldn't trust their slimy asses either.
  5. Yup, I think letting him go was absolutely stupid. He was the one big, powerback we had on the roster. And of course, our dumbass staff cuts him because they like Abdullah's "energy" and I'm sure his ability to play multiple positions.
  6. Or maybe our staff can just stop fuging sucking. People keep bringing Cam up because he is clearly better than both of the guys they've brought in since, even at half of what he once was. It's fine if they decided to move on from the only MVP we've ever had if they thought he was done and they had a clear plan in place to upgrade the position. Instead, they paid a guy 27 million plus for one year then traded him away to trade away a 2nd round pick for a guy that was 100x worse, is the worst starting QB in the NFL and we owe him 18 million next year on top of what we're still paying Teddy. That's why people won't shut up about Cam. Why should we? When its clear most fans know more than this fuging dumbass incompetent staff about the QB position, you're gonna keep hearing about it. If they knew more, they would've already proven us wrong and they haven't and can't because they don't. They're fuging idiots. Right the wrong and bring Cam back until they can find a young QB of the future to groom.
  7. They just picked this: Over this: fug this staff. Let me guess, Rhule met Barkley at the urinals during a break at a college leadership retreat once and was enamored with his intangibles and just knew he was destined to be a winner.
  8. Cam Newton is still unemployed and we just signed this noodle-armed Leinart redux.
  9. Didn't want to start a new thread for this tweet so I figured this is a good place to put it:
  10. Not that I want him bc we don't even know how to use the receivers we have, but ngl, part of me wants us to claim him just to see how much brighter this dumpster fire can burn. Because of we do claim him, he is gonna be pissed tf off.
  11. Still there are ways to scheme around it and if you don't scheme around it, you're accentuating that weakness. Several teams like the Chargers, Steelers, and Patriots have lines that would average out in the bottom third of the league and none of their offenses look as broken or dysfunctional as ours. Also, look at teams like the Saints and Patriots pass block win rate versus their run block win rate... sure, you could say its because they're built to better to pass block, OR maybe, just maybe, they're scheme gets the ball out quick so they rarely allow pressures. It all goes hand in hand... is our OL personnel garbage? Absolutely. Is it being exacerbated by idiotic, amateurish coaching even more so? Absolutely.
  12. I honestly am both surprised and amazed that he is still employed after yesterday... that isn't just reactive fan speak, I legitimately and objectively don't see how they did not fire him today. I fully expected it. And the longer he remains employed, the more sure I am that Rhule isn't an NFL coach either.
  13. Was just gonna say this is bullshit. Face saving move... if the shoulder was that bad, he would've had an MRI before yesterday and not played. Also, according to Darnold in his presser after the game, he was fine and wasn't limited in any way.
  14. No, they are somewhere between abysmal, completely absent, and non-existent. Below average would be an improvement.
  15. Cold hard facts. As I said in another thread, if this offense is even below average, we are either 8-1 or 9-0 right now.
  16. I opened this thread expecting to see a tweet announcing the firing of Brady and demotion of Darnold. I am disappoint.
  17. Even if we ignore the Jets years... I stated it over and over again in the preseason, the fact Rhule wouldn't play him and the 1st string offense was both a mistake and a sign that he knew they were going to struggle. That was a huge red flag. Now, if we are considering what he put on tape while with NY, it was an even bigger red flag than this preseason... he sucked. He does suck. And he always will suck. All the advanced stats affirm what is easily seen with our eyes. He can't read a defense, pressure or no pressure.
  18. Idk if its gone, so much as its hard to convince Eagles, Vikings, and Pats fans to participate en masse in the chant.
  19. Disagree. While I DO agree that owners shouldn't make impulsive or emotional-based decisions, this wouldn't qualify. We are in year two of this staff, and they have recklessly used his assets for two consecutive offseasons to secure "their guy," they convinced him of, after also talking him into dumping the incumbent former NFL MVP who also happened to be a marketable and profitable face of the franchise. This wouldn't be impulsive. Their ineptitude going on two years is progressively getting worse with each passing week... he has been more than patient if you ask me, especially with regards to the offense.
  20. I've thought about this a lot, again, as a guy who was likely his biggest advocate from early on in that season preceding his hire here... and honestly, I don't have an answer. The perception has indeed went a full 180. What I do know is that we have enough of a sample size now to indicate that he is indeed a huge part of the problem. I said last year, Teddy was the most difficult QB to watch play in the history of our franchise. Then we dump Teddy and get Darnold, and now I find myself saying that Sam is by far the absolute worst QB that has ever taken a snap as a starter for this organization... and he's even worse than a lot of guys who never started a game for this organization. What is the common denominator? Brady. Considering Teddy's lackluster performance last season, many of us were quick to dismiss his complaints about the coaching staff as sour grapes. In hindsight, it wasn't at all. It's not coincidence that Teddy is now looking as good as he does in Denver this season, but looked so confused and inept last season. Darnold was already trash before we got him, and that was always my stance on him coming into the pros... but just as great coaches make good players better, bad coaches make some players worse. Brady has definitely done the latter. Although it seemed impossible, he made Sam Darnold look worse and more inconsistent than he already was. He also made a Top 15-20 starter in Teddy look like a bottom third starter. He's gotta go. I have no doubt in my mind at this point and won't regret it one bit.
  21. This thread should've come with a poll on who the sacrificial lamb will be. I think its Brady. But not fired... I think Rhule follows his predecessor's style, and to allow him to save face, he says he is relieved of his playcalling duties but will still be on the staff in a different capacity. If nothing changes, Tepper likely fires Rhule by the end of the season or right after.
  22. No, the sad part is, they're not. This team has enough talent and ability to win 11 games or so and make the playoffs. The difference in those 4 games were that we were able to scrape up just enough offensive production to complement the defense's play. All the games we have lost were simply because the offense couldn't produce enough to offer some balance to the defense's performance and eventually the levees break. When the offense does absolutely nothing, it changes the whole flow of the game and how the opposing offense can play and attack. Like today, if we generate ANY offense whatsoever, NE can't keep running the ball. They did so because they knew we couldn't threaten them offensively, so they figured they could slow the game down, chew up clock, and beat us up in the process. They also did it because when they came out trying to throw, Mac got his fat ass destroyed early by Reddick and Burns... but, once they saw our offense couldn't threaten them, it changed the entire outlook of the game. If we're slinging the ball downfield and threatening them every possession, they are forced to throw to match our scores/production. But, instead, we decided to run, run, throw an incompletion or interception, or then punt if we made it to 4th down... it's what makes this team so hard to watch. If this offense was even below average, we are likely 8-1 now, possibly 9-0. But the offense is absolutely abysmal and has no business being on an NFL field outside of a handful of special players. But, let's see how Rhule addresses it this week... it's why Tepper paid him the big bucks to make big boy decisions. It's time for those decisions to be made. And if he chooses poorly, the majority of the fanbase and his locker room are checking out.
  23. It depends on your definition of "fix it." Number one, Brady has to go. I'm hoping by 1 pm today, we hear that he has been relieved of his duties. That's step 1, and it may or may not hurt a little short-term, but it's the right move long-term. Step 2 - Cam is better than any QB on our roster, by a million times over. If you sign him to a 2 year deal, I'm confident you fixed "it" for at least two years and bought yourself time to find a young QB to develop for the future. What we can't do is just stand pat. If there isn't a coach fired or Darnold demoted after yesterday, you lost the team. Period. The poo has gone on long enough, and Rhule gave Darnold and Brady more than enough chances. Now the question is, can these coaches put their pride and ego aside and make the right decision for the team?
  24. I hope Mac's chubby ass has a career-ending injury. fug him. And usually I don't wish bad on anyone, but he's a piece of poo. Same for Clete Blakeman. I have a deep rooted hate for Blakeman since the Superbowl and he allowed DJ to be body slammed out of bounds and Mac to injure Burns. fug Blakeman. He deserves untreatable gonorrhea.
