Yeah, agreed, LP. I'm in the minority here because I like Robby and feel like last season was an aberration caused by a lot of different extenuating circumstances. But, this just isn't a good look. If we end up acquiring him, it becomes a media firestorm with questions about it every week. There are guys in the league all of the time who don't rock with other guys in their own locker room, but thats where it should stay. Now, in his defense, I understand him being especially vocal about the QB position considering what has taken place the last two seasons... but, you gotta know when to hold em, and know when to fold em.

Baker is not the sexy get, but when healthy he looks like prime Aaron Rodgers compared to Darnold. I say if he can be had a for a cheap future pick, probably like a 3rd or 4th, I do it regardless of what the plans are for or what happens in the draft. If we add him before the draft, there's less pressure to reach for a QB early... now, if we're in love with a guy like Willis, you pull the trigger regardless, but from everything we've heard and seen, it sounds like we like these rookie QBs but not necessarily enough to take them at 6... which is why I would be 100% okay with trading for Baker and taking the BPA at 6 or being able to trade back a few spots, pick up a LT or QB and another pick. I wouldn't be overly hyped up about the acquisition, but I would be fine with it. Baker can win games, and at the very least, he isn't going to often be the reason you lose them like Teddy and Sam the last two seasons.

Was just sitting here pondering this question, because of the potential that we may get a franchise bookend in the draft and outside of Gross, it's kind of been a potluck of OK in the past. Brockermeyer, Steussie, Oher? My vote would probably be Steussie off the top of my head because he was part of what was likely the best OL we ever fielded, even though I seem to recall him struggling a bit with penalties as his tenure wore on here. Regardless, I guess the point is, the list is not very impressive and in the past, perhaps in my immaturity, I was just always so put off by drafting an OLineman in the 1st round, especially early, because I feel like that's where you need a franchise impact playmaker... but, after watching our once in a lifetime, franchise QB get the poo beat out of him until it essentially made him a shell of himself as a passer, I'm not gonna lie... I really like Willis, Corral, and Howell at the QB spot at various points in the draft, but if we decide to take one of these LTs at 6, it will be the first time ever I have been excited about taking a OL with our first rounder.

Just came to say fug Bill Pollan... And nothing against Pickett, but fug him too.

Colts get Gilmore. 2 years 23 mill. 14 guaranteed.
Proudiddy replied to NCTHFL0567's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good for Gilly, but you're telling me he signed elsewhere for almost exactly what we paid Donte "sure to lose you a game or two all by myself once or twice a year" Jackson? That was a horrible decision. -
This is absolutely horrible. Truly tragic. So young, and from what I read, seemed like he was coming into his own with the Steelers. Well-liked and had a chance to compete for the starting role this season. And he was a beast in college... I read the updated story said he tried to cross the 595 interstate, and I just never understand that. There is almost absolutely ZERO reason I would ever attempt to cross a interstate on foot, EVER. And especially at night. Walk along the shoulder until you get to an overpass if you have to get to the other side. Not speaking ill of Haskins, but just with anything in life, if the risk far outweighs the reward, why do it? It's so sad. Thoughts with his family. This sucks.

I started investing last year or so, and on a very novice level, but what I've gleaned so far from my experience is the house always wins. If you know how to kiss ass well, rub elbows and all that bullshit, learn the ropes, learn how to game the game, and got in some experience trading with other people's money on the house side before opening your own hedge fund, I don't think it's all that hard to become a billionaire, or at least a very, very well off hundred-millionaire. My experience trading has also shaped how I look at Tepper quite a bit... before I started, I thought he was some brilliant genius. After seeing how the market works, I don't think that at all. Is he smart? Absolutely. But, the guys running hedges aren't Einstein, they're more like scammers who hit it big by coming up with creative ways to rip off others and poo on the little man. They just have to know when to make certain deals to really capitalize on timing and such, but it's set up in their favor so there is really no way for them to lose. They're going to make money, its just a matter of how much. And the amazing thing is, so much of what they make is really by ruining the lives of everyday working and middle class people. You know how many companies he probably shorted into oblivion causing loss of jobs and income for countless people? You know how many retail investors he screwed out of life-changing money by essentially stealing and using loop holes that are illegal but our shitty ass government doesn't so their jobs in oversight or preventing it from happening because they're profiting off of it too? No doubt in my mind, Tepper is an absolute poo bag. Don't let the "just a regular guy from humble beginnings" poo fool you. This dude has major dirt on his hands and he couldn't give a fug less about fans or any person not named David Tepper. He got rich by fuging people over and being great at it. Period.

Good post. But, personally, I would've ripped my shirt open and asked him if my chest was ample.

He clearly has evidence of Goodell getting buttfuged or something. This dude has done everything - sexual harassment, racism, creating and fostering a hostile work environment, embezzlement, stealing, maintaining a culture so toxic that it got a coach from another team fired , etc., and he still has a fuging team. Meanwhile, Goodell pulled some strings and had JR dismissed for just a fraction of what that asshole has done and is still doing, so he could give us grapes for balls Tepper.

Obvserver’s Alexander interview with Fitterer
Proudiddy replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
He also just said they purposely avoided Russ in SEA after the Senior Bowl because they knew they were going to take him and didn't want teams picking up on it. Hard to really evaluate anything draft-wise at this point. -
Man, this is tough to watch. You know when you heard a pitch initially and it sounded great, but then you come back and talk with that person again and you can tell you're listening to a con man and want to bail immediately? Yeah, he's a joke.

Orlovsky: Pickett doesn’t have anything that isn’t coachable
Proudiddy replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wasn't Orlovsky caping for Sam last year? I appreciate his ability to break down Xs and Os, but he can keep his QB analyses. -
Which is why these moves make no sense unless they were going to trade for a big name this offseason. Why create cap if you aren't gonna use it?

Was it jay-z?

Rhule: Sam Darnold will take a huge step this year
Proudiddy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Is this like the "can't wait to coach Cam Newton" thing? I hope so. fug Sam Darnold. -
Matt Rhule is trying to say Cam wants to play for a winner AND have a chance to play, and I don't think we're offering the ideal situation for either of those criteria. Cam knows Rhule is an idiot college coach, and as far as playing, we have probably only guaranteed him the ability to start early until whoever we draft is ready... and if I'm Cam, after Rhule sat me to end the season in favor of Sam, I'm not coming back.

The Panthers have first round grades on 3 QBs.
Proudiddy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, but it's all about the frame. Corral's 212 lbs looks a lot different than the other two guys at similar weight. -

I really like the prospect of trading back and picking up a second, but I'm almost certain if we do, we aren't getting Willis. So, I'm torn. On one hand, it seems like an easy decision, because if we trade back, I'm cool with taking Corral and drafting a OL or edge in the second and feel like we just made out like bandits... but in the other hand, I feel like if Willis figures it out in the pros, you can use him in so many different ways and is much more dynamic, so if we were able to draft him, he has the highest ceiling and purest superstar potential out of the QBs. It's a tough dilemma. If we were in the Top 3, I 2ouldnt hesitate to trade back to 7-ish and feel confident we'd get that 2nd rounder and still get Willis. Trading back from 6, I just don't see us getting him. I like Corral as a pure passer - great arm, beautiful release, and he is no doubt athletic, but he is also extremely slight and I dont trust his durability at all... he won't present the problems and dynamism that Willis does. -
I think using CMC more in the slot or as a receiver would be the best option obviously, but honestly, I don't think this strategy is possible. Number one, in the past CMC has been vocal and adamant that he is a RB. He does not want to be a receiver or labeled as anything other than a RB. And number two, Deebo is super physical. And yes, he has sustained some injuries during his career, but he is much more stout and more physical as a runner. He's more likely to run through contact versus elude it, as CMC does.
-
Pictured are cool and all, but I will never get hyped again off CMC's potential. Show me you can play a full season first, or even half of one. His potential and ability is meaningless when he can't stay on the field. And I've said it repeatedly since last season, but I will be thoroughly surprised if he ever plays a a full season, or even the majority of one again. When guys start piling up non-contact injuries, their bodies are signaling they can't stand up to the rigors of baseline activity, let alone the wear and tear of NFL games, and there isn't much you can do to prevent it at this point.

Not sure what the story is with the gun, but if it was weed he was caught with, that charge is irrelevant.

Philly now recruiting Gilmore too. His wife confirmed as well.

I feel the same way, and at least I feel like I got some degree of closure in him coming back, but Rhule ruined what should've been a storybook comeback. I'm just glad he got to come back and feel the love from us fans and knows where we stand, and now he gets to make the decision on what happens next on his own terms. I'll always love me some Cam.
