People can say what they want, but I've been thinking about this for awhile now - Tremble is a damn good football player. He is not perfect, but he is our best TE and I think he still has a ton of untapped potential. He's not JAG. He just hasn't been put in positions to succeed between dumbass coaching and horrible QB play.
-
Refs giving an awful lot of free play on these forward progress plays.
-
This offense gives Nyquil a run for its money.
-
The drag underneath was wide open and Bryce elected to throw the flat at a horrible angle with no separation.
-
I dont think he wants to log more miles than a soccer player only to never get a target.
-
Bryce is fuging horrible man. He just ran straight into pressure because he always tries to flush out to the same side... and again, the receiver was still open and he throws it 5 yards out of bounds.
-
What? Was that not "the throw we've been waiting to see"? Those defenders seem to be scattering quicker than roaches when the lights come on.
-
Smh. Man, we drafted the biggest bust ever.
-
Give me Evero as HC now. Again, the only way we're gonna a get out of this hell Tepper has created is by accident or happenstance... and us just happening to already have our future HC on the staff after the hire of Reich in the first place is just the kind of luck we need right now.
-
Considering how bereft of talent we are even with starters, there isn't exactly a huge drop-off to their backups, honestly... and even if there was, having a guy in there who holds his own and won't singlehandedly extend a drive leading to points they otherwise wouldn't have had with a dumbass penalty is a better option.
-
Quote from Kevin Burkhardt during our game, just now. We have now extended three different drives in the first half with dumbass personal foul penalties on failed 3rd down and insanely long attempts, with the last one now resulting in a TD to end the half. How can Reich possibly survive after this game?
-
Yeah Reich is gone

P. U.

Only the Panthers would get a facemask/horse collar combo on a 3rd and 19 about 10 yards short of the marker.
-
I mean they are getting instant pressure, but everyone knows how I feel about Bryce - pressure or not, he is going to fug up... I'm just trying to be fair. But again, the thing is, if he was a player actually worthy of a number one pick, those guys make everyone around them better and always seem to make a play when there seemingly isnt one and make the right decision, but Bryce is the complete antithesis of all of that.
-
This poo is soul sucking.
-
Like a true #1 overall pick, amirite?
-
I think Bryce is gonna fug up pressure or not, but I have to say, he has had ZERO time on dropbacks today. Whole OL is getting their ass whooped.
-
Damn we suck. And Reich is fired Monday.
-
And I'm sorry, but Hekker has been ass this year. What happened to the guy that could pinpoint drop punts inside the 10 and bomb deep punts when needed to flip field position? I can't count the number of 30-40 yard punts he barely gets inside the 20 on short fields now. Then he just punts one straight into the endzone from deep.

Yeah, it's pretty clear he was largely a product of being the conductor of a blue chip factory who just happened to have far better and superior talent than 99.9% of their opponents. Aside from protection adjustments, we have seen him make mistakes that guys advertised for being such cerebral savants would just not make, rookie or not. There are other rookie QBs who are playing and/or have played that have not made some of the boneheaded decisions he has made, and likely 9 times out of 10 wouldn't. He is very average in every facet of playing QB, if not below average.
-
Dk if someone has already replied to this, Scot. Haven't read through he thread, but remember the preseason hype job from our PR dept where Bozeman said Bryce was given full autonomy to conduct meetings with the OL educating them on his vast knowledge of OL protections? I'm pretty sure he was tasked with it, but I'm also pretty sure he isn't doing it anymore.

Protest on Mint Street this Sunday at noon
Proudiddy replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper don't give a poo about "basement dwellers" as he mentioned before. That asshole couldn't give a fug less about what fans think or feel because he thinks he's the smartest guy to ever walk the Earth. We're stuck with this bullshit as long as he's owner. Period. -
All due respect, with the amount of money and pride at stake, I don't think anyone checks out at this level, especially nor a coach when you don't have a guarantee to ever have one of those 32 positions again if you fail, and Frank is on his second chance now... so I don't think Frank checked out. I honestly think there are too many cooks in the kitchen. Yes, in my lrwvious post ITT, I said Frank was 100% responsible for the mismanagement in situational football, but this poo just doesn't add up from the outside. Either he's overseeing poo as a HC that he shouldn't be and it takes away from his ability to manage the games, or someone else on the staff is overseeing poo that is usually the HC's duties and that is running interference with what he's used to and causes problems and miscommunication. Regardless, I'm sure he's not trying to lose his job in purpose... but I do think he wanted Stroud and Tepper forced Bryce on them and now they're trying to run an offense that he thought a archetypal QB with good size, quick release, and big arm would've been running with someone who is pretty much the antithesis of that.
-
For a guy that was successful as a player and had to maximize his talent and ability as a leader when he played, those guys tend to do well as coaches, but Frank just seems to have zero awareness. Why would you burn that timeout on 3rd down? Also, I would have to see it again to be sure, but it looked like TMJ came wide open over the top on 3rd down, but Bryce of course didn't look for it and checked it down, then you elect to kick a FG that wasn't even close from 59 yards. You have to know what your kicker is comfortable making and from where. And even with the miss, if you have 3 timeouts, it allows you to play differently if you have to go back on defense. Just none of that poo made any sense at all... the situational awareness is just not there at all, and that's all on Frank. Now, aside from that, it's clear Bryce is fuging horrible. The next gen stats even laid out how bad he is even without pressure. The Strachan throw was the best in-air throw he has thrown all-season, and it took 10 weeks to get it. He almost threw 2 more picks tonight due to inaccuracy. He can't see poo and his default is to checkdown, and that is obvious even in the offensive scheme - Ryan Fitzpatrick just said it was so frustrating to watch bc almost all of our throws are to receivers facing the QB, which means no chance for YAC. This poo is a trainwreck. The #1 pick we traded a franchise receiver and multiple 1sts for just got outplayed for a win by a UDFA QB from a DII school. The end.
