Complete achilles tear confirmed per BR. Out for the year. Damn.

I've just accepted that moment he bought the team I'd the moment the franchise was set back, and it will remain that way until he sells. He fuging sucks. Tougher to succeed in an industry where you can't rub elbows and kiss ass to the top and then game the system to rip people off on your way to a fortune.

These types of Referee blunders are 100% unacceptable
Proudiddy replied to KillerKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm convinced we're cursed. Period. The poo that happened in Super Bowl 50 and the following season opener, hell, pretty much Cam's entire tenure here, I HAVE NEVER SEEN HAPPEN IN OTHER GAMES. Same as KK said in the OP, I've been watching and playing football since the early 90s and keep up with the rule changes year to year and I can't count the number of times I saw a call made for the first and only time against us. I know the NFL can't completely control outcomes of games, but they definitely can heavily influence them to their liking, completely stacking the odds against us to where they all but do control it - see the aforementioned Super Bowl 50. Yesterday was yet another example. I also recall us at one point, I believe during the Cam years, have offsetting penalties where they also said our personal foul penalty took precedent and canceled out the opponent's personal foul, and thus they enforced the 15 on us and not them. Also during those years, I also remember Cam getting roughed and they claimed a hold on us canceled out the personal foul on them, and iirc, it was a headshot. The NFL does NOT give a poo - they don't regulate it, and at the end of the day, they're always gonna side with the refs. And the officials have free reign to make up the rules as they go. And we're never going to be on the favored end of these calls. Period. Accept it. -
I just don't buy that Chark singlehandedly changes the outlook of the game like that. He's a great player, but we also have Smith-Marsette who is regarded as a "take the top off guy" and wasn't utilized. And as I mentioned yesterday, both TMJ and Mingo beat their guys over the top and Bryce missed both of them. I didn't play QB in the NFL, but Simms has been wrong before too, and I just was not impressed in the least bit with what I saw. As I said before, Bryce has to rely greatly on his supporting cast to be effective, but when he's also missing throws to that supporting cast that are essentially layups, then it just further cancels out any positives he possesses. Again, it's why I preferred AR because he doesn't need other players to win a game bc he can make plays on his own and outs a ton of pressure on defense with his tendency to run. Not trying to trash Bryce... I'm still hoping for the best, but I didn't think he was the right guy, and yesterday did nothing to alleviate that concern.

My positive is that we went ahead and ran the ball with under a minute left to go ahead and get the game over with.

And I was also thinking about this - look st ATLs roster and tell me you think that is a more complete roster than ours. It's not. There's this fallacy that our receivers don't get open, but they were open A LOT, and Bryce missed them. The only proven legit threat the Falcons had was Pitts, the other guys have a lot of potential but aren't game changers. And yet, we got beat by a team QBd by fuging Desmond Ridder. He beat the #1 overall pick this year. It wasn't coaching. Bryce didn't have a lesser supporting cast. Bryce just played like poo. And for the most part, our team didn't look much different than Rhule's teams did.

I dont think he's the best passer. He was in college. Pros is different, and I maintain that AR was better built for success as a pro, and I'm not just talking about because of stature. It's not coincidence BY had the worst comp pct out of those guys, and it wasn't close. He missed a ton of throws that were open and he also bailed on a lot of plays way earlier than he had to. For a "super processor" he sure looked overwhelmed by what he was processing. AR doesn't look like that, AT ALL. I have a feeling that BY is about as close to a finished product as any of them are and his floor is actually lower than what was believed, while simultaneously having the lowest ceiling out of all of them as well. It's not coaching... it think we just made the wrong pick and it's why I didn't want him even before the college season was sover last year.

I'm giving up on him. Only saw from ESPN Alert that it was a hamstring and he was ruled out during the game. The guy is an absolute stud when healthy, but all these non-contact injuries... I think he's not gonna make it to a second contract. fuging sucks.
-
Can you blame me for wearing thin? poo gets old, man. I didn't expect world beaters, but when you push all your chips in the table for an undersized QB claiming it was in large part due to his accuracy, poise, anticipation, and super processing abilities and then he comes out and looks like ass in just about all pf those categories while the rest of the team pretty much plays the same as they did under Rhule, I just don't have much more patience left for bullshit.
-
Bro, he overthrew Mingo and TMJ when both had burned their defender bc he lacks touch on the deep ball bc he's trying to push it further than what he comfortable throwing. Mingo's likely would've been a TD. TMJ's also had a chance. They had no issue getting separation.

Young is garbage.

Yup. Same old poo. All that offseason hype. We traded up for a noddle armed midget who threw 2 picks to a fuging safety sitting underneath the fuging routes the entire time. Defense folds bc they can't get any help from the offense, and we just play like a bunch of pussies. I'm done watching for the day. Also, great hire Tepper. You fuging idiot.
-
I'm just very unimpressed. 2 picks and multiple inaccurate throws to wide open receivers on what would be game changing plays.
-
The guys in the booth just pretty much said they made it up and the NFL should review it later lol. I fuging hate the NFL and their yes man officials.
-
There is super accurate Bryce Young, overthrowing another wide open receiver that torched his man. poo is wack.

When tf did offsetting penalties on a punt result in the play standing and the ball being spotted at the end of the play rather than replaying the down?

Same. I was hoping for the best, buy for a "super processor" he sure is underwhelming in the facet he is supposed to be best at.
-
Bryce is an overhyped Teedy Bridgewater. We traded away all that capital and DJ for this poo. And early returns on Reich are also ass.
-
No. I get it. The middle ground between Tepper's money and Burns' desired contract is the salary cap. But as I said, it's so easy to manipulate, that ultimately this is an exercise in futility for them to haggle over gtd and bonus money. They just need to get it done.

Peppers as a first-year HOF entrant in 2024?
Proudiddy replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
No question. -
We're usually on the same page, CRA, and while you make some valid points, as we've seen time and again, the cap is easily manipulated... and yet, our franchise has acted as though every next deal is gonna break us, AND STILL, we've managed to fug up a number of contract extensions for premier players throughout our history. This deal should not have been that hard to get done.
-
That's what I'm saying... and again, in a year this poo won't even matter. The next top pass rusher is gonna blow this deal out of the water in a year, and then a new guy will blow that one out a year after that. And if Tepper could pay Matt Rhule 60M or whatever tf he gave his fat, sleazy, worthless ass to suck the life out of our franchise for 3 years, he can pay Burns what he deserves.
