Yeah, iirc, I think Wentz was injured against the Rams and they had already clinched and I believe we’re just playing for the #1 seed, but Foles definitely played lights out once he stepped in.

Watching Andy tonight is also another reason I was a big proponent of drafting a young QB the last two drafts. I wanted Milton last year and Shadeur this year. All respect to Andy, a long time starter and quality player in this league, but he is on the decline, looks not great tonight, and Plummer is just gross. Would’ve been nice to have another young QB to develop and be excited to watch grow.

You’re Lol’ing but he was available u til the 5th round. He has still not thrown a pick in camp or through his first start in preseason as a rookie. He also just threw 2 TDs, extended plays, and displayed some elite anticipation and ball placement. We traded a treasure trove of picks and assets to move up and take Bryce, who struggled for a season and a half before finally showing any semblance of being a quality starter, and that is still to be determined. just saying, SS looks ahead of the curve and was available to every team for 4 whole rounds.

Boy I know refs be excited when they see us as their assignment. They be stretching their flag throwing arms all week getting ready… and not because we commit the penalties but because we are the NFL’s bitch.

If yall haven’t noticed yet - DAMN! I wish we would’ve drafted Shadeur. All 32 GMs and FOs are gonna be eating a lot of poo over this, including the Browns. He is a fuging baller.

I don’t disagree, but I just don’t see Etienne as a natural PR and I feel it looked clumsy because of his hesitancy/lack of confidence/reps in that spot. I think he’s a great back and potential big time contributor down the road, but as a PR, it’s your job to make those decisions - he saw the traffic and called for the FC and then failed to navigate it. If he didn’t feel confident in fielding it, he should’ve called it off and got out the way.

Yeah, it was 7 total, and as I said to the other poster, I watched a ton of Colorado in ‘23, didn’t get to see much last year, so I was basing it off memory from that year. And looking it up again, he didn’t return any at all in ‘24. But idk what it is, some guys just look natural doing it, and Horn is one of them, imo.

Fwiw, I was basing my opinion off watching him in college, and I watched him more in 23 than 24. How he caught it looked natural. They just out him out there to PR just now, and that opinion still holds up. The catch looked effortless. I guess an argument could be made that Blackshear and Etienne were catching it facing the other direction, but both looked clumsy.

Indeed. Confident he’s a lock in the RB corps, but that was not a good first look at all as a returner. He looked way too uncomfortable with all that traffic after calling a FC. Didn’t look very natural, even though I know he’s done it. I know Smitty said catching them at night in BOA is tough, but idk… I feel like Horn is a much more natural returner.

Yeah, I’ve been surprised by this. No way Coker is cut. So much of his advanced stats last year bore out that he was one of the top of WRs of the class of 2024, and he wasn’t even drafted. He’s a key piece of our young WR core. I think Moore is the odd man out with Jimmy Horn Jr. taking his spot.

Yeah, it would make zero sense to trade him, but it’s kind of tracking. Sure, they could be starting him because he’s earning it, and again, by all reports, he has been statistically stunning throughout camp. But, they also could be starting him to advertise the product to maximize value for him in a trade. And again, Haslem’s comments make zero fuging sense. Why wouldn’t you want to say you made the call on such a steal? I would want to distance myself from the Gabriel pick at this point (but I never would’ve made that pick in the first place). Also, saw Stefanski continue to downplay Shadeur in a presser last week, yet still continued to vouch for Gabriel after a historically atrocious day at camp (I think he was like 3/14 with an a couple INTs). I personally don’t think Gabriel is an NFL QB, and I made that assessment strictly from what I saw in college. And Stefanski was saying stuff like Gabriel just wants to be great and he is going to work to be great blah blah blah. So, again, it seems they really prop up Gabriel and downplay Shadeur. It doesn’t make sense at all - but it does start seeming like, paired with their lack of enthusiasm upon drafting Shadeur, that they are trying to distance themselves and maybe get some value back for him.
