Burns? yeah, I used to always say it when he was here - he may have the most missed sacks I have ever seen from any single player my entire life. If he had converted even half of the sack attempts where he had his hands on the QB and the QB broke loose from it each year, he would’ve averaged a minimum of 15 sacks a year. I know, every pass rusher would be a X amount of sacks a year if they converted every attempt, but Burns near misses were astronomical. If he is converting more of them with the Giants, it would not surprise me one bit for him to have a 20 sack year at some point.

Idk why man… I’ve just always felt he had the tools, but he gets really hot and he also gets really cold, and he could never stay healthy. I feel like as long as he can stay healthy, in the rhythm he is in, he might be able to sustain it.

And fwiw, I thought Dart was gonna be trash when I watched him in college. I’m proud of when I’m right, but when I’m wrong, I’m wrong. He’s fun to watch.

Yeah, idk what was going on with them as a whole last year, but having Thibodeaux and Carter prolly make a huge difference for Burns.

I just liked his play designs, scheme, and rhythm as a playcaller since Buffalo. Idk wtf has gone on the last couple years, besides knowing Saquan walking really hurt. And I don’t quite understand how he couldn’t make it work with Daniel Jones, bc I think he’s legit too. But I don’t think you just forget how to call a game if you’re a great playcaller. I guess they just had to reload on offense and Dart and Skattebo were exactly what was needed. They just have a spark about them.

The Giants look like geniuses for the Burns trade. I’ve maintained that I think Daboll is a great coach despite their struggles… but I say all of that to say, they hit a fuging home run with this draft.

I literally almost turned the game off Sunday on that first fumble. I keep saying it, but he literally looks like someone who just stepped into the field for the first time playing QB. It reeks of someone who is trying way too hard to make something happen, but lacks the skills or ability to do it. The number of times he has gotten squared up, jukes one way, jukes the other, and then it’s like his brain can only supply so much power to the physical before it shuts off mid-play and is like, “fug it, just let go of the ball” - I have never seen it happen to a player more than once, IF EVEN ONCE. He does that poo multiple times a season for 3 seasons now. It’s unreal.

I agree. I’m cautious to engage in many “take up my cause” posts nowadays. But, this was shared by RoaringRiot’s founder that used to be a prominent guy here. And he’s always been credible, so I figured it was pretty cut and dry. I’m sure there is more to it, but idk… I’m also finding a lot of people in this political and social climate are, as Charlie Murphy famously coined, “habitual line steppers.” In this case, maybe an over zealous, “security is my life” guy making something his business that really wasn’t?

Yeah, that last part is a bit dramatic. “Damaging” team loyalty is weirdly worded. But, point remains… that’s a weird fight to pick from the organization. And why now? And it can’t “touch” the stadium? You mean the stadium that the fans paid (and continue to pay) for?

I dare you to go “pull the records” on my Cam posts. Kyle Allen posts too. I was one of the few screaming how garbage he was early. Also, look up the posts and see what side I was on when it was rumored Olsen tried to console Cam his rookie year after a tough loss. And whose side I was on when people criticized Cam for the towel, or “pouting” or for dancing. I have never wavered. Not only do I pull for Cam as an athlete, but I felt a kinship with him dating back to his Florida days. I wrote about it here. I know what it’s like to be judged off your persona, your reputation that someone else has given you, off falsehoods, off appearances, off of a mistake. I know what it’s like to be ridiculed and omitted from opportunities for those things. I know what it’s like to have to do 100x more work than the next guy who just has it handed to them, and it still not be enough. I’ve never met Cam, but that’s my brother. So, anything insinuating anything else is hilarious. I was riding for Cam when half the board wanted Marcel Dareus. I was riding for Cam and running off racists like “TheRealDeal” over Matt Moore (who, actually was a damn good QB, imo, but he was no Cam). To this day, I still maintain, if we signed Cam off the street right now, he is the best QB on this roster instantly. I don’t care what anyone says. So if you have some sort of previous history with another poster or posters that made the racial component obvious, then please share, but when it’s coming from me? Trust and believe - this ain’t that. Never will be. And no doubt, a ton of Cam hate was purely racial. But, I call a spade a spade. Mentioning Bryce in the same breath as Cam is objectively insulting.

I just don’t get poo like this at all. Even on a win, Tepper finds a way to leave fans feeling alienated, violated, frustrated, and disgusted with this franchise. Smh…

lol you got to be trolling. And I know you are, which is why I usually ignore it. But, I always have and always will go to war with anybody over Cam. If calling out Bryce for being an objectively shitty QB that ranks dead last in multiple throwing metrics since he entered the league and/or in the history of the NFL for QBs with the number of starts he has logged is being a hater, then I’m gonna be a fuging hater.

Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart. I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl. He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off. One of the worst throws I ever saw. His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery. All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.

And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own. He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else. That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground? He does similar things all the time. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it. It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that. He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t. Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn. That wasn’t a great pass. The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it. We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw. Crazy.

Don’t get me wrong, when guys go off for career days like Dowdle just did, it covers a lot of blemishes - hence, the discussion still surrounding Bryce and how we won in spite of him. But, saying if you take away 6 plays and applying that logic is like the inverse version but the same thing as that poo Bryce-riders do with their “if the receivers had caught these uncatchable balls on these 10 passes, he would’ve had 749 yards passing today” and the hidden yardage bullshit. The plays happened. They were big plays. That’s what we want. Statistically, for most players, regardless of talent or position, big plays are the anomaly. So eliminating them when they happen to hyper focus on what the averages would be without them is wild, respectfully.

Just remembered as I watched Drake Maye just make a super heady play on that last drive, 3rd down, Bills had used all their timeouts, the Bills blitzed, forced Maye out of the pocket, all of the receivers were covered up downfield, Maye scrambles, thinks about throwing it, you can see it, then he tucks it, gains a couple of yards and takes a bit of a hit to stay in bounds, go down, and run the game clock down to 20 seconds by the time NE attempts the GW FG. Super smart play. meanwhile, out super processor attempted to call a timeout today when we didn’t have one left. Again, this win, as almost all of our wins since he was drafted, was in spite of him.

I think it’s worth noting that a lot of those teams that he had “explosive plays” against last season didn’t have much to play for. It’s bad teams and teams that don’t have much to gain or lose that Bryce flashes occasionally against. It’s like the Cardinals 2nd half this season. If there is any sort of pressure or consequence, like if the game matters or the opponent is good or has something to lose, he isn’t worth a poo.

Scourton definitely looks promising. I think Princely would be too if Evero would fuging play him.

We’re never gonna have explosive pass plays with Bryce as QB, and it will be tough to get explosive runs because the box is usually stacked bc of Bryce.

Every win comes from a non-sustainable source. As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards. We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are. Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together. The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again. That was not even an average QB performance. We are winning in spite of him.

Bryce would under throw a purposely underthrown ball. He can’t do it.

And the height difference matters, a lot.

I also have had the debate with one of my friends who is a Pats fan about how he thinks Mac is worse than Bryce. I told him, “bro, you won’t find a bigger Mac hater than me, EVER. But, I would take Mac over Bryce 10 times out of 10, no matter uestion or hesitation.” Mac will at least attempt throws 15+ yards downfield, and he can actually fuging see the field. You’re seeing the difference in these starts from him. Despite his limitations athletically and less than desirable arm strength, you can win games with him and he can do enough to win them for you.

Piniero makes a 59 yarder, then just hit a 42 yarders by skidding it inside the upright to go up in OT. i think it’s time to consider, under Tepper, every player we get becomes worse, but when they leave, they become their best. This truly is a fuging cursed franchise.
