I'm thinking Kony Ealy is working his way towards being Gettleman's first notable bust. Wow, he sucks. -

Good to see Cam end PS game 1 in a rhythm and on a high note. His deep ball and that back shoulder fade are on point. Love it! And again, I contend that the OL looked impressive throughout. Also, KB is looking like a beast. -

There's a strong correlation throughout our history under River, that when we struggle in the preseason, we struggle early and get off to slow starts. It's not about wins in the PS, it's about looking like you're ready to play competitive football and execute well. -

Yeah, tbh, I don't see any reason Cotchery should be out there, but I know the coaches love him, he just sucks. Furthermore, I would've taken several other receivers before Funchess that were still available, but being that he was our guy, I certainly hoped that they would've had him as a starting reciever from day one. Instead, looks like Cam has to lock onto KB far too often again. -

Maybe some of you all are watching a different game than I am, but imo, pass protection is light years ahead of where it was last season. He is getting a pocket to throw out of, and even when they get pressure up the middle, he's getting passing lanes to step up into. And, he's not getting much pressure from the outsides. -

Look, the pass might not have been perfect, but does Cotchery even look for the fuging ball, EVER??? I am so tired of this dude. -

The interior... Ealy, Addison, and Alexander have gotten the majority of the snaps on the outside that I've seen so far. -

Good to see we're off to our usual "fast start." Smh, this is a huge let down lol. -
You know, I didn't like the pick because I was still wanting more competition (and speed) at WR, and I've been pretty indifferent to this point about him... But, the more I hear, see, and read about him, I see some eerie similarities to one Stephen Davis. He's not a burner, but is elusive, strong, patient, and is hard to bring down.

A few questions... I didn't see the presser afterwards, but did Rivera address this? If so, what did he have to say? Will we see more of this in the future? And, if we do, what does that mean for RT? I assumed coming into camp that it was Remmers job, but then we have been working him at C as well. I know that shouldn't mean much, but I think if you have a guy who is your RT, you're not giving him backup C reps in TC.

Not saying he will be anywhere close as a player, but his build reminds me of Smitty.

I'm really hoping Todman and Byrd find their way on the final 53.

Is Cherilus and Collins still out there? I believe in Oher, and I think he'll find his rhythm in due time, but I just prefer to have security and options at the position and Chandler is neither of those. If we add a vet with starting experience and some natural talent for the position, I would just feel a lot better about it. That way if Oher can't get it together, we have valid insurance behind him and as has happened in the past, so often, the answer ends up being a guy that was already on the roster and waited his turn.
-
Yeah, I call it for Oher... He never lost him and stayed engaged the entire time. At the very least, on a real play with Cam back there, it gives Cam time to step up or get rid of the ball versus with Bell, he would've been picking himself up off the ground by the end of this play. What stood out to me for some reason though, is man, Oher looks pretty small in that video... Looks much trimmer than I would've expected.

If I had one wish, I would ask for a time machine... So I had unlimited chances at growing up to be Cam Newton.

Lol, yall think PJ is gone for the traffic citations? Lol... You're projecting Harrison or Roberts make it over him? I want us to sign Harrison, but if anyone goes out of the current roster, it's Roberts. The idea behind this thread seems convoluted too... Lamb, Batum, and PJ can all play the 2 and the 3 pretty interchangeably. So, they are needed for their versatility... Daniels has earned his spot as well, but he's primarily a 2 and doesn't really have the body for a 3. Furthermore, even if PJ stinks it up shooting wise, which he has through SL, he has shown the ability to play outstanding defense, even in his PT as a rookie. So, I don't see him being the odd man out. The one guy out of the backcourt that lacks size and versatility is Roberts. Plus, he was signed as the backup last year, unquestioned coming in, and lost his spot in the rotation after trading for Mo because he was that bad... Again, I think MKG, Batum, Lamb, and PJ are all part of the 2/3 rotation, and then PG is Kemba, Lin, and I think Harrison will be signed as the third with Roberts being the odd man out... I'm guessing he will be waived or traded (more likely waived because I don't see anyone trading for him).
