I've never thought Bradford was good, and I've never understood all of the hype.

RE: Klein, I laughed in the offseason when people kept writing him off as some also-ran. The dude has been a baller here since day one and is extremely underappreciated.

I have to respectfully disagree about "90%" of offenses across the league run the same plays with different terminology. The diversity from playbook to playbook can be HUGE, even for offenses with similar philosophies. And there are so many different approaches to offense from WCOs, variants of the spread now, Coryell, run n' gun, vertical-centric, zone running, etc., that I think it's really generalizing to say they're all picking from the same plays every Sunday. Furthermore, for perspective, for as much of an egomaniac he seemed to be (especially in year two), our offense has always been talent-deprived, and yet, under Chud, IIRC, we were in the top half of the league two years in a row. Why? Because he called games to our strengths and hid our weaknesses. Now, we did have a legitimate #1 WR and LT then, but still... WR was vastly neglected for years even with Smitty and the interior OL was garbage, and yet we still managed to run a balanced, entertaining, and relatively-high-scoring offense under Chud with similar personnel and deficiencies. Shula is bad. And that's coming from someone who likely has been the most outspoken critic in our entire fanbase about how bad WR is, so that is already considered when making that statement.

Stan, you should be well aware of how I feel about our offensive personnel. There are too many plays that have happened today that failed as a result of horrible personnel (excluding Cam). The problem is, Shula doesn't call plays to our strengths or to cover up our weaknesses either. There is no flow or rhythm. It's like he doesn't think about anything but the immediate play and it puts us in horrible positions.
-
Wow..... These refs are unbelievable. That's the 2nd time they gave Jax a timeout after the fact. What if we would've gotten a player injured on that play that didn't happen? And, it bailed them out of a penalty. I just don't recall seeing such an incompetent crew.
-
Shula is just fuging horrible. And I'm not piling on, I just can't ignore it any more. He is fuging horrible. Jax knew exactly what we were running and where we were going on that 2nd down run. It's embarrassing.
-
That's how you run a fuging screen Shula... You fuging retard.
-
I am seriously considering physically beating the poo out of Shula.
-
I was thinking the same thing... Like, "did he agree to this?"
-
Over/under 2 drops this drive?
-
Emphasis on WAIT. The outcome will still be the same lol.
-
Should've paid Norman...
-
Step up and what? Wait for someone to get open? Or throw it to the one guy that consistently gets open and drops the ball?
-
Great job Shula... I think I'm just going to start turning my TV off when we're on offense. I can't take this poo. Same poo different year... Hanging our franchise QB out to dry.
-
Hey let's all clap it up and keep it positive because we are up at the half! Yay! Guess what else? Philly caught a ball! Yay! He's the bestest! No problems over here! Our team is perfect!

Nope, gettleman is a fuging genius. Any wrong this franchise has ever done is all Hurney's fault. Because of his cap mismanagement, gettleman is absolutely restricted from ever fixing the WR position and is completely excused for being a fuging idiot and letting Hardy walk for nothing. But hey, good thing we have Kony fuging Ealy when we could've drafted another receiver and waited to get a DE worth a poo.

Avg secs it takes for a Shula play to develop: One Year.

Again, I would've liked Todman but as predicted, the staff went with their guy. Disappointing, because Todman had more speed to burn than any other back we have, but all of them were good. Oh well...
-
Norwood and Philly Brown... Hopefully someone else is coming in ASAP.
-
Not saying he won't, but knowing our staff, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep him, Fozzy, and Wegher, or Fozzy gets cut (based off of preseason performance vs the other two), unless they're able to secure another receiver they like. With them cutting Bersin AND Lucas it means a spot opened up somewhere else for the time being.
-
We need help, but do you want another Cotchery or bring in a young guy who can get open with tons of potential?
-
Likely and "did not" mean two very different things on cut day.
-
Yeah, please refrain from posting "x is being released," when speculating. If it's legit, post a source, otherwise, please don't do it lol.
-
I have my reasons. Imo, he is like Cotchery redux. He has put up solid numbers throughout his career, but the best of them were when he was surrounded by talent in a pass-heavy system. He won't be that guy here. Remember everyone creaming their pants over Cotchery because of the numbers he put up in Pittsburgh? Same deal...

No to James Jones. fug him.
